We tried to figure out how to decipher through all the elements that play a role in the changes, but we just dove right into it. We began talking about private land owners out-managing and out-farming the state and federal land. Then we started to discuss the number of hunters before the 2000s vs. the number of hunters today.  Kirk told stories about Bayou Meto, and watching the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission come in to cut buck brush and put levees in. Kirk told me about Center Hole and what it looks like today. We talked about the 'Spinner Era' and the effects a motion decoy had on duck hunting in general. We talked about different myths that people use as excuses for the decline of ducks in Arkansas such as: the flyways shifting west, Canada's duck limits, and social media. And of course we discussed the most important puzzle piece of duck hunting - Mother Nature. We talked about hunting in dry years and water levels in Arkansas. Kirk told me about this collection of images and videos from over the years. We wrapped up with 'What Can We Do From Here? How Can We Move Forward?' Kirk told me that 'Yesterday's gone and all we have is today'. We talked about technology advancing faster than the animal we are hunting, and how sometimes we have to take a step back to humble ourselves. We have to remind ourselves of what we have right now at our finger tips. .I had a blast getting to talk with Kirk about one of my deepest loves. I hope that this podcast reaches the duck hunter out there that wants to preserve and better Arkansas duck hunting. We talked about bow hunting, and how her love for hunting all animals with her bow has grown increasingly. She just killed a hog in Texas with her bow and has set ambitions to kill a turkey with her bow. We wrapped things up with some advice, and Maggie keeps it honest and real. I couldn't be more thankful to have someone so proud of who they are as a person on my podcast. Maggie is top notch, and if you're intimidated by her - well good, you should be.  She's constantly learning, growing, and teaching others in the most positive way. Maggie, thank you again for being on my show! Thanks for listening to a #TuesdayTalkwithLB

Whether he's chasing birds or shooting docs crapping fishing. Milton is the most honest, and humble man I have ever met. This episode, I jumped on the phone with a lot of people who have crossed my path this duck season and asked them their highs and lows of this past duck season. Blake Hall, Alora Babb, Spencer Halford, David Frisbie, Rob Kinney, Luke Cramlet, Kirk Emerson, Anna Richardson, and Jed Lamb all give their answers and we talk a little bit about the upcoming seasons - snow goose hunting and turkey season. This duck season for me was full of laughter and life lessons. I got to travel more than I ever have and hunt places I never have. I got to experience life and try to handle all the crazy things it has to throw at me. Someone once asked me, 'Why do you like duck hunting so much?' It was simple - It's the opportunity that tomorrow will be that much better, that maybe the weather will be perfect, and the ducks will do it right. The opportunity to meet new people and see familiar faces. The laughter that fills the blinds, and the stillness that calms the woods. There's nothing else in the world like it. #TuesdayTalkwithLB
