We didn't know what to talk about, so we just kind of spit balled this one. Topics covered (generally) are what Ryer has been doing to better himself professionally, namely reading books, subscribing to magazines, and intaking knowledge from industry pros. Caleb talks about the show he just finished (West Wing) and how Aaron Sorkin uses writing so efficiently to plant seeds, pull threads, and develop characters.
In this business we have a term for a hike in to a location for a hunting trip. Generally they are 2-3 days into an elk hunt that is not going as well as we hoped and we want to get into more elk or something of that nature. I have a had a few of them on Turkey hunts too. When you take off with camera rig and a heavy pack in a general direction with an unknown destination for an unknown amount of time, those normally qualify as a death march. Ryer and Joe just got back from the Death March of all Death Marches. British Columbia Canada is a different animal and when you are there for Moutain goat, key word being "Moutain" its going to have several elements of suck involved. Ryer in particular found the suck. I told Ryer before he left this was either going to be the best trip he has ever been on or the worst. Special thanks to Bergara Rifles for letting us tag along on such an epic adventure. We are red hot Juan was 9-6, Ryer was 10-5. If you're not tailing these FREE picks at this point, you're burning money.
The boys are humming along Juan was 8-5, Ryer was 6-7* should be 7-6 but on principle he took the Lions. The locks are hitting and we have a special exclusive during the lock segment this week. Also Russell Wilson is unbearable.
Crazy week so we get a Saturday morning recording. Is it perfect no but does that lead to laughs, absolutely. Plus we're heating up Juan bounced back last week and Ryer is .500 over the last 3 weeks and that's plus money baby.
Week 4 is here and a lot happened last week we talk Tua, Mac Jones, the Chargers stinker and pick every game as usual. We also continue the things that piss Ryer off about NY segment.
This is a heater of an episode. Avs won in 6. We're figuring out the MLB, the king of the offseason the NBA is in full force, we got an F1 rule change that could shake things up and Ryer tells a mascot story. We also finish with the loaded UFC card Saturday.
The long anticipated Top Gun Sequel has finally been released and we went to see it. This podcast is going to be a fun one because we all know Ryer is a huge Top Gun and plane nerd so he really got into this and it was pretty emotional for him. Should be a fun discussion.

#TuesdayTalkwithLB and this one is a good one! This episode I jumped on the phone with a top notch creative, Ryer Porter. Ryer and I have been friends for almost a year now, and he has been a huge influence on my knowledge in the creative world. This episode, we talked about where he grew up and what his childhood was like. He told me about his childhood dreams of being a fighter jet pilot, and living in California. Now working at Copeland Creative in Georgia, he travels across the country shooting and filming. We talked about picking up a camera and the world of photography in the hunting industry. We discussed working in the hunting industry and what that is like. We talked about gives and takes of social media and the role that plays in working in the industry. Then, we talked about what it means to be 'a creative' and all that comes with that. Ryer gave some tips on getting out of a creative rut, and how cyclical that is. We talked about one of my favorite sayings, 'be better tomorrow than you were today' and what that truly means in all aspects of life. Ryer wrapped things up with talking about one of his favorite projects he's worked on. Ryer is an awesome person, and I'm lucky to call him a friend and mentor. He co-host the 'Redneck Tech Podcast' and is an awesome photographer and videographer. .Thanks for listening! #TuesdayTalkwithLB
