Love in our world is rarely unconditional. Yet practising unconditional love is the most remarkable healing tool for self-healing, self-transformation and healing the world around us. The truth is, we can not give unconditional love until we are whole and unconditionally loving ourselves. It must start inwards. But what does that indeed mean? What does that look like? Welcome beautiful soul. Today's meditation takes a unique turn as we delve into mantra meditation. This simple but profound meditation intends to restore inner peace, encouraging balance, harmony, and a resonating peace with the universe around. When your peace consciousness is enhanced, it doesn't only resonate within, but reflects in your outward aura. It's your intrinsic power, made more impactful by tuning into it. As you learn to embrace silence and space, you essentially cultivate your inner peace, which reverberates into the world around you. Our modern life rarely affords us moments of pure stillness, a prelude to mental, physical, and emotional overload. This meditation helps you unplug from this overwhelming stimuli and focus inward. The aim is to create a hold on a serene mantra, 'Om Shanti', symbolising peace within and around. The mantra can be voiced out loud, whispered to oneself, or merely heard. With each repetition, strive to immerse deeper into the silence and space between mantras. Your journey begins with getting comfortable, shutting your eyes, and tuning into your breath. Inhale through your nose. Exhale through your mouth or nose. Use your breath as an anchor, a grounding force that quiets your thoughts and ushers peace in your mind and body. The breath then becomes a tool, guiding your focus onto the mantra 'Om Shanti'. Hello and welcome to this meditation practice that is centred on grounding and re-centring your entire being. Do you ever get those moments when overwhelm, stress or anxiety hits you from out of nowhere and surges through your entire body leaving you feeling extremely off-balanced and triggered? For those of us living within the templates of modern culture our lives are busier and our minds are more stimulated than ever. This way of living causes more stress, overwhelm and anxiety on both a conscious and subconscious level. When the energy from this stress, overwhelm and anxiety takes over our body it often shows up in looping and damaging behaviours or thoughts. The key to managing stress, overwhelm and anxiety is to begin to notice these feelings and this energy within your body as the oscillations happen and then bring the energy back into balance with a grounding practice. Whether the negative energy comes directly from your own thoughts and actions or is the energy from outside influences – it is important to take some time out to ground, centre and reconnect back to a deep state of presence and wholeness. It is about balancing the breath and coming back into the present moment to calm your nervous system. By actively choosing to manage and prioritise your grounding practice you will deepen your ability to tune into the frequency of your own body and be able to come back to the present moment over and over again, giving you the awareness of when you need to ground in your everyday life as triggers appear. Presence and Wholeness is a great place to reside. Grounding is a practice that is very important to me – and it is something I try and do with intention every day. It is something I think a lot about – and for me personally I find the best ways to alchemize and ground the erratic energy that can overtake my mind and body from time to time is to either meditate or spend time in nature, taking a swim in the ocean or lake, taking a walk, hugging a tree, listening to the birds sing or sitting outside under the warmth of the sun. This is one of my favourite meditations to do – so I hope you enjoy it and it brings you a sense of grounding, peace and harmony So let us begin and connect in by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie. Somewhere you can relax and won't be disturbed.
Together we will tap into silence and inner knowing – you will be able to meet your whole self there. By cultivating a deep presence, you will expand your energetic being where you will connect more deeply to receptivity, nourishment, healing, intuition, peace, joy, resilience, grace and unconditional love. When we tune into our divine frequency – we tune into the source of who we truly are. I was called to pull a Rumi oracle card and share it as the focus for the meditation – and because I don't believe in accidents – if you have clicked on this meditation then the guidance from the Rumi oracle card is meant for you. Goddess Kali is a divine mother who takes a fierce form to protect the light from the darkness or the good from the negative. When the darkness or negative projection is not healed through the unconditional love it is shown, Goddess Kali comes in wild and fierce to fight the darkness in order to keep the light shining. Goddess Kali is the warrior of light and fights for divine justice. She will rise strong to protect you, your loved ones and the world from negative energies and injustices. Goddess Kali or Kali ma provides spiritual protection, karmic justice, and divine judgement. She welcomes your tender heart and gentle nature, but she stands against all that obstructs your light and will rise strong for your sacred victory. The ego may fear her, but your true self takes comfort in her ferocious compassion and unyielding wisdom. We can not summon Goddess Kali – instead we are called to her – such as being drawn to this meditation. Goddess Kali appears in our life when we have chosen to step into the light. She will come in strong when she witnesses us continuing to hold onto many of our old ways of being, thinking and doing that have become entrenched with fear or lack of self-worth. Goddess Kali appears when nothing short of divine intervention is needed to shift your old ways of doing things – she appears when you are ready and open to finding a new way of being, doing and experiencing. This meditation is your reminder of your own divinity and the sacredness of your own creative expression, By tuning into the frequency of Goddess Kali, the Truth of WHO and WHY you are will be reminded. For on this new earth that we are creating together, kindness, unconditional love and grace are our superpowers. On the new earth our sacred selves are not suppressed- held down- or attacked for the personal power, vulnerability, creativity and intuition we express. Welcome beautiful soul to tonight's sleep meditation. Tonight, we are going to create some sacred space around your energetic field which will then allow the energy of your mind, body and soul to deeply nourish and renew – clearing out all low vibrational energies over the next 8 hours while you sleep. Have you ever felt energetically drained for no reason? At times low vibrational people, places and circumstances can leave us feeling mentally, physically, or emotionally drained. We may wake up feeling positive and energetic and then for no reason throughout the day we may suddenly feel energetically sapped or have a random and intense emotion arise from within with no explanation whatsoever. This especially relates to those of you who may identify with being an empath. Thoughts, words, actions, people, places – everything is energy – and because we live in a highly dense energetic world it can be easy as an empath to be energetically hijacked and have low vibrational energies that don't belong to us attach to us. And even worse, if we find ourselves in situations of conflict with others or the at centre of other people's judgements, jealousy and gossip this can deeply impact our energy from even thousands of miles away. The same is true if we have a close bond with a friend, family member or partner – we can often pick up their energies – including the negative ones like stress, sadness, and loneliness. To be radiantly whole – we must feed our minds and bodies daily with nourishing food, water, movement, thoughts and sleep. The same is true for our energetic bodies. In order to be radiant and whole we must regularly check in on our chakras and have small daily energetic cleanses in order for our minds, bodies and souls to be whole and aligned. For me personally, this protective energetic meditation is a practice I try and do 2-3 nights a week - I find it cleanses negativity out of the entire mind and body - washing away toxic thoughts, emotions, beliefs and even disease. It is also an opportunity to take some time to fill your entire being with light and nourishment which invites more wellness, balance and resilience to the mind and body. So to begin make sure your sleep space feels safe and nurturing. You may like to spend a few moments cleaning and decluttering your bedroom. Ensure the temperature of your room feels comfortable and make your bed cosy and comfortable with clean linen, comfortable pillows and so forth. I recommend having a warm Epsom salt bath or hot shower beforehand. It is also nice to do 10 minutes of gentle stretches before jumping into bed. To uplevel the energetic cleansing light an incense or burn an essential oil to help purify the air. If you need to prepare your space hit pause and come back once you have Once you are in bed, cosy down under your bed linen and get yourself into a comfortable position. Together we are going to do a meditation and healing session. I am currently in Bali, and I wanted to take a moment to channel this beautiful healing energy that I am picking up strongly here in Ullawattu Bali. Whether you listen to this meditation live or in 5 years' time – you will still be able to access this beautiful energy that is radiating from the sacred healing ley line beneath the earth under me right now. Lay lines are powerful energy lines that run across the earth, connecting many of the world's most sacred healing landmarks such as Uluru in Australia, Stonehenge, Maui, The Himalayan mountains, the pyramids and of course here in Bali. Where two or more lines pass each other, it creates a powerful energetic vortex and is said to be a sacred and healing place. Many describe some of these places or energetic vortexes as the earth's chakras. What is also fascinating is that where these lines meet that they also align perfectly with the astrological constellations! Many of us are drawn to these sacred places and energetic vortexes like a magnet. When we arrive at these destinations, we often feel that there is an invisible force gently drawing us in. It's like we intuitively know that there is something there we must find – and often it is a deeper layer of ourselves. This energy can bring out the light side of us such as joy and lightness or often it will highlight anything that is energetically out of alignment within ourselves – bringing it to the surface to be processed and healed. These beautiful sacred sites across our planet will magnify within us where change needs to occur within us to allow true healing to take place. Get yourself in a comfortable seated or laying down position. Close your eyes and allow your body to completely melt into the ground below you. Invite yourself to sink into deep relaxation. In this meditation practice, together we are going to open ourselves up to receive from the universe. Allowing abundance and high-frequency energy to flow into every crack of our entire being. Making us feel nourished, balanced, loved and whole. We live in a culture that is ruled predominantly by masculine energy. When I say masculine energy, it does not refer to gender but to energy that we all possess. Everything in our world is made up of both feminine and masculine energy – and when this energy is in balance and aligned it brings harmony and peace. However, when it becomes unbalanced so do, we. Masculine energy is all about doing, pushing, and striving. Whilst these are great qualities to possess it is also important to balance it out equally with the feminine energy of being, allowing, and surrendering. For when both masculine and feminine energies within us are balanced we become in union with ourselves which then in turn cultivates self-love, and self-worth and helps us on our journey of developing unconditional love for all that is. One of the side-effects of living in a culture that vibrates with a dominant masculine energy is that for many of us, we have trouble receiving from others. We are told we must be strong, ambitious, and independent. Once again these are great qualities however when unbalanced they put us into a state of being that we don't allow ourselves to receive. This could be because we want to prove ourselves to be strong and independent or alternatively the dominant masculine energy of our culture has programmed us over time to make us feel not worthy of receiving. So my intention with this meditation is to get you comfortable with receiving so that you can balance the feminine and masculine energies within you – which of course will lead to more self-love, self-worth and an overall feeling of deep inner wholeness. We are going to spend the next 25 minutes breathing and connecting with gratitude to help you ground, reset and reframe your mindset to a more positive state of being. Invite yourself to surrender and relax. There is nothing you need to do – nowhere you need to be right now – you have dedicated these next 25 minutes to your own well-being. All you need to do is follow the sound of my voice and the words I speak When we welcome the practice of gratitude into our own life it turns everything we have into enough. But we must also be easy on ourselves when we fail to see the beauty – as there will be days that are hard. The practice of gratitude literally shifts our perspective on the world and how we view ourselves. We learn to see ourselves and the world with new eyes and grow a new appreciation for what truly matters in this life. We learn to drop all that no longer serves us, allowing us to free up space within our own mind for inner peace, calm and contentment to grow. When uncertainty arises or life falls apart, as it sometimes does. Having a grateful heart will make it much easier to navigate the tough times. Gratitude doesn't happen overnight. It must be practiced daily, and as our practice grows over time so does our base level of overall contentment, inner calm, and self-resilience. Gratitude transforms our lives as we start to turn failures into learning opportunities, our pain into compassion and our hardships into wisdom. A daily practice of gratitude helps us discover and unearth what truly matters to us, it removes the distractions so that we can see the ordinary as extra-ordinary. Today we are going to do a live Extending Compassion Meditation —it is a meditation that is inspired by Tonglen, a Buddhist practise of “giving and taking or sending and receiving.” More specifically, this practice involves consciously breathing in the pain and suffering of yourself and others and on the exhale, sending space, compassion and healing to yourself and others. This compassion meditation has the power to open our hearts and deepen our love and compassion for ourselves and the world around us. By embracing, rather than rejecting, the unwanted and painful aspects of human experience, we can overcome fear, and learn how to balance both pain and suffering while cultivating greater empathy for others. This extending compassion practice may feel scary, after all the thought of taking on extra pain and suffering can be worrying for most. That said, people have been practising compassion meditation or tonglen for more than a thousand years and there is growing evidence to show that it can lessen anxiety, create peace of mind, and foster an increased sense of connection to others. The one problem you might face is that you feel too much emotion when facing other people's suffering. If this happens, meditate on less serious issues and situations of pain. Today's practice can help reduce the stress of larger problems in the world like Covid-19, war and systemic racism. It is also a remedy that can snap us out of our own self-entitlement and self-centredness and remind us of our shared suffering, our shared humanity, and our shared capacity to change and overcome problems. Find a comfortable position either laying down or sitting up. Get yourself comfortable with eye pillows, blankets, cushions, and bolsters. Set up your space with intention. You may like to light a candle or burn incense. Maybe hold in your hand your favourite crystal. I will give you a few moments to set up your space and settle in. Today we'll be practising a meditation called the breathing space – where we linger within the sacred and nurturing space between the breath to connect with stillness and release stress. it's a simple practise you can use anytime you feel overwhelmed or stressed and feel the need for a reset The breath is our sanctuary – it anchors us and calms us. And the space in-between the breath is a beautiful space and sanctuary to rest and reside – especially when things get tough. I personally love the breath meditations because we are not asking the mind to quieten – instead, we just focus on the breath. We are giving the mind a distraction or something to focus on. In these breathing meditations, there is a moment where the mind becomes anchored within the breath yet at the same time there's an opportunity to really experience a deep sense of calm and stillness. For today's meditation, you're going to need something comfortable to sit on or lay down on. I have a meditation cushion and a blanket but if you just have a cushion or a chair that is ok. Or alternatively lay on your bed or yoga mat. Start by coming into a comfortable seated or laying down position with a tall straight spine. I will give you a moment to settle in. Today's guest on Soulful Conversations is Karla Perez. Karla is the founder and integrative health coach at www.sweatygirl.com. In 2018, Karla was diagnosed with breast cancer and even though she already lived what she would call a healthy life the diagnosis invited her to go deeper into her own wellness journey. And during this journey, Karla began to thrive. And sweatygirl.com is Karla's platform and sacred offering where she shares the Sweaty Girl method that transformed her life. The Sweaty girl method is a four-pillar approach to complete well being and wholeness which incorporates the mind, body and spirit. Karla and I talked about her four pillars which are nutrition, yoga, breath movement and wellbeing. We also talked about resilience, self-care and the importance of removing negativity. We also went into her upcoming retreat. The more that you feed and strengthen your body, mind and spirit with positive fuel and nourishment is how you become more resilient. Karla says: How will you strengthen your body? You will eat nutritious foods, whole foods, good food to make your body absorb nutrients and build strength so that you become resilient to disease, infection and germs. You move your body. You breathe slowly and deeply to oxygenate your body. How will you strengthen your mind? Feeding yourself positive thoughts, positive affirmations and looking at yourself in the mirror and saying to yourself that you can do those things and you will succeed. How will you strengthen your spirit? You have to be able to let go of negativity. Release resentment. Release anything that doesn't serve you and in return accept love. Accept forgiveness.
