Australia’s most listened to radio show has breached decency standards, the media watchdog has found. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) launched a formal investigation into the Kyle and Jackie O show after receiving a listener complaint in June. It has now found segments of the show – hosted by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson – “would be considered offensive to any reasonable person listening to the broadcast”. Today, we’ll explain everything you need to know about this investigation, where it came from, what it found, and what it means for the popular breakfast radio duo. Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. I would like to thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Bony and Hannah the next two contestants booted from Australian Idol’s top 10. The competition is really heating up and honestly I think week after week fans are going to be pulling their hair out after seeing their favourites go home. I am going to say that I am not shocked at this weeks eliminations… I think these two are both fantastic but I truly don’t know if this show would have brought these two artists much more gravitas had they made it any further. Just my opinion. Bony will talk about his career trajectory from here and if he will take Kyle Sandilands up on his offer to record in his private studio. Hannah will share how she really felt about being called a giraffe by one of the judges. I find out about the games going on behind the scenes with this years top 12 and what joke went too for one contestant. You will get everything from their thoughts on the song choices, How much public interaction they are really getting and we will talk about auto tuning that might be happening outside of Bony. There is so much to talk about with so many inside revelations. So sit back and relax as we unpack the wonderful world of Australian Idol which returns this Sunday night. Something To Talk About is continuing to publish across the summer break, and will be back with a brand new episode on January 12. In the meantime, we are revisiting some of your favourites from the 50 episodes we released over the past year. Today’s conversation is with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, which originally aired April 27, 2024. *** For 23 years, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson have dominated radio airwaves in Sydney, and having appeared on various TV shows over the years, have become one of Australia’s most well-known double acts. But despite their infamy, they very rarely do interviews together - and yet for today’s episode of Something To Talk About they agreed to sit down on the other side of the microphone to join host Sarrah Le Marquand for a no-holds-barred conversation that veers from the outrageous to the hilarious, and from the emotional to the unexpected. On the eve of their show’s much talked about and risky expansion into Melbourne, they open up about what makes their relationship tick - both on and off air, whether they have any regrets over the controversies they have weathered over the years, and how they feel about being in very different chapters of their lives, with Kyle settled down as a happily married father just as a Jackie is hitting her stride as one of the most sought after single women in the country. And, in one of the many surprising moments in the conversation, they both ponder an unlikely question: is Kyle Sandilands actually a feminist? The Kyle & Jackie O Show airs from 6am weekdays on KIIS 1065 Sydney and KIIS 101.1 Melbourne. You can also listen via the iHeart app or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today's episode with country boy Trent one of the most talked about contestants from Australian Idol on Channel Seven. Twenty years after Guy Sebastian pipped Shannon Noll to become Australia's first Idol, the international star-making reality TV sensation returned to Seven this year and if you missed the first part of the grand finale - you must catch up on Seven Plus. It was filled with amazing performances which I am going to watch again and again. The competition was easily the toughest since series one and Trent was another shock exit from the likely winners. He had a fan base like no other and I am excited to have him here today. There is some juicy tea on the way this show is made and how they would drive their contestants bonkers with reshoots. Trent will explain why he hasn't been having a secret relationship behind the scenes and why he is still single. We will unpack the tension with Kyle Sandilands and those Kermit the frog references. Plus Trent will discuss who he would like to see win and who he thinks will win in tonight grand finale showdown. There is so much to unpack with Trent and he was absolutely way cuter without his hat on. So sit back and relax as we dive just that little bit deeper into the world of Australian Idol.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Thank for clicking or downloading on today's episode with Marcia Hines. We will be talking about her fabulous return to Australian Idol last night Having taken a break for well over a decade Channel Seven has reimagined the old format and brought the nostalgia back for all those that grew up with Idol as their first singing based reality show. Idol originated from the reality program Pop Idol, which was created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller. Which has given us artists like Guy Sebastian, Rob Mills, Courtney Act and Pauline. Just to name a couple of my favourites. No matter what you heard about last years soft reboot of the show. I guarantee if you check out episode one you will be addicted. Marcia Hines returning has brought experience and insight to the 2024 panel. That rounds out the right balance of judges improving drastically from last years miss step with Harry Coinnick Jr and Megan Trainor. This years promising young vocalists will also sing in from of Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark who have really found their feet when it comes to giving critics on the contestants. There is so much to unpack with Marcia, from how the opportunity came up to return? Who out of the former judges (Mark holden and Ian 'Dicko' Dickson) she still speaks too. Plus how the show has changed and why some conflict is important. I will ask about her relationship with Kyle Sandilands and why competition based reality shows have thrown our their tired stereotype's when it comes to judging. Anyway, let's bring Marcia into the podcast, so sit back and relax as we dive just that little bit deeper into the world of Australian television. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
