The Lachlan Galvin saga has continued this week, leading to this bonus edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. After a strong debate after the story broke on Monday night, followed by more analysis by Eddie and the boys on Wednesday, we now have this third pod for the week. We take a look at the press conferences held by Benji Marshall, then Wests Tigers' captains, Api Koroisau and Jarome Luai. Joel, Garry, and Nick give their thoughts on what was said and why we're starting to see the potential positives of testing out the coach and players' responses to a situation like this. Most importantly, comparing that response to what we have seen in the past from our club and playing group. Is this going to be the issue that finally helps turn Wests Tigers into a more focused and battle-hardened team? Let's make a statement against the Eels! We then turn our attention to the big Monday afternoon clash with the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium. The Easter Monday fixture looks set to be a memorable encounter with the Wests Tigers no doubt out to tell the world they're bigger and better this year, with or without Galvin. The stats show Wests Tigers should be firm favourites, and the Eels have also lost a few players in recent days, but they do welcome back Mitch Moses for the game. We also look at the reshuffle of the Tiger's team, including the move to the halves for Adam Doueihi, and hopefully the remergence of Luai in Batman mode. The return of experienced centre Brent Naden also draws our attention. Big guests at the Ambush. Don't forget to get along to the free Ambush event before the game at CommBank, with two special guests ensuring it should be a memorable experience. Jeral Skelton will be a guest, as will Latu Fainu, and Garry will get the chance to interview both injured Wests Tigers stars. What we hear from Latu should be of particular interest! We hope you enjoy this bonus edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Round 7 is underway but the talk around Lachie Galvin and his immediate future at the Wests Tigers was still dominating the news. In an extended version of MC's Hammertime (17:52) Michael Carayannis and Matthew Elliott join Andrew Moore to pick apart a messy week for Benji Marshall's mob. Also Cronulla prop Tom Hazleton (40:08) jumped on for a chat about his team's trip to Newcastle. The cult forward explained about his team's need for consistency and revealed how he got his big break in 1st Grade after copying his coach's hairstyle! And his confidence has taken a hit but Christopher still fronted up to deliver his tips in Christopher's Corner (10:05).

The Wests Tigers announced that Lachlan Galvin would not be with the club beyond 2026. Today, the club dropped Lachlan Galvin from their NRL squad, with the teen set to play in the NSW Cup. The decision to drop Galvin has been led by senior players, Jarome Luai and Api Koroisau. Member of the Continuous Call Team, Jamie Soward, told Jason Matthews on Wide World of Sports, "I think that Benji [Marshall] would have to make a decision based on what their team needs best." "A young man has made a decision so far out to say that he doesn't want to play or doesn't see a future at the club, with these players and with the coach. I had no doubt that it was going to end in tears," Soward continued. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Wests Tigers Podcast is back with a post-victory edition of the pod. But, when it looked like things were starting to turn our way as a club, out comes the Lachlan Galvin news. In case you missed that news, Galvin has rejected any chance of allowing the Wests Tigers to negotiate a contract extension with him. On this podcast edition, we discuss what to do with the 19-year-old, with opinions ranging from sacking him immediately to waiting and seeing what develops. There's also debate around whether Galvin can still play under Benji Marshall if the stories about the young half not rating Benji's coaching skills. And will he pick up his bat and ball and demand a release? See what you make of our sometimes heated discussion on the youngster, and don't forget to share your opinion on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. Yes, Wests Tigers got a victory! The Wests Tigers managed to end a run of seven losses against the Newcastle Knights with a 20-4 victory on Sunday afternoon. We run through all the 'One Word' submissions from the Forum, and take a look at what the sometimes scrappy win means for the season. Some individual performances also come in for discussion, including Sunia Turuva, Sione Fainu, and Fonua Pole. While Eddie Otto manages to find some big wraps for our ever-improving fullback, Jahream Bula. There's also a look at the Wests Tigers' attack, and in particular, why we look so sleek on one edge, but clunky on the other. And 'Richo's Meter' also gets a run with the guys giving their thoughts on whether our boys were Awful, Poor, Average, Good, or Great against the Novacastrians. It's a post-victory edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast that doesn't run to the usual script, and we hope you enjoy it!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Wests Tigers Podcast mid-week edition is good to go! On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we examine the unfolding developments regarding the future of Wests Tigers young star Lachlan Galvin. In the wake of Dylan Brown getting a truckload of cash to head up the M1 to the Knights, we look at how this deal might affect our negotiations. We also take a look at the situation from the perspective of the loyal Wests Tigers fans, and how Lachlan can be part of a solution, not continuing a problem. There is also contract news around David Klemmer and his impending exit from the club, and how this impacts the likely arrival of Taylan May. While a left-field recruitment idea is also floated. Then the focus is the Eels. It is only round two of the 2025 NRL season, yet this Sunday's clash against the Eels carries a feeling of great importance. After a clunky and disjointed performance against the Knights, can the Wests Tigers bounce back against an Eels side coming off a heavy loss? Benji Marshall has named a stronger side on paper, with key spine members Jahream Bula and Api Koroisau, along with Starford To'a, being available. But has the coach managed to fix those issues so evident last Friday night? We give our suggestions on how the Tigers can get one up against the Eels, and look at how Bula and Api might help get us back on track. Yioti's trivia also features. Yioti has gone back in the Wests Tigers archives to come up with some interesting Eels v Tigers trivia questions too. And don't forget to leave your 'One Word' submissions after the Eels game on Sunday afternoon on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. The one word submissions grow every game, but we'd love even more people to take part and share their thoughts on the game. To do so, just head to the game-specific thread and, if you haven't already, sign up for a free account on our forum. Good luck Wests Tigers, let's beat those slimy Eels! Wests Tigers will welcome seven new players tomorrow evening at Campbelltown Stadium. After months and months of waiting, Premiership winners Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva will finally run out in our colours for the first time. Joining new buys Jack Bird, Terrell May, Jeral Skelton, Royce Hunt, and Tristan Hope, the premiership winning pair are a further welcome addition. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Declan and Steve preview this big round one clash with the Knights. Where do the Tigers look to have an advantage, and what worries us about the Knights' lineup? What do the Tigers need to do to end the six-match winning streak the Knights hold over us? And we give our predictions on how the match will play out. Well done Wests Tigers media team. This podcast also features a response to the new 'Thrive or Survive' video posted by the club on YouTube yesterday. While certain members of the Wests Tigers Podcast have been a bit critical of the efforts of the media team at the club over the off-season, this is redemption. The video gives you an intimate, behind the scenes look at the players and coaches and would have to be one of the best productions we've seen from Wests Tigers. Congratulations to all involved, and we look forward to seeing future episodes. The return of the quiz! Yioti's Quiz is also back for this first in-season edition of the podcast with the quizmaster reminding us of some early moments in Benji Marshall's playing career, and names from the Wests Tigers past. And win, lose or draw, please don't forget to leave your one-word submissions on the Wests Tigers V Knights game on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. Stay safe, especially if you're in a cyclone affected area, and enjoy the game!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There's also fearless predictions around best back, best forward, and the player who is picked and played in the wrong position most this coming season. Eddie's prediction category also includes the surprise packet of the year, and the player that will prove to be the biggest disappointment of the Wests Tigers 2025 year. And then it's the big one, the prediction that always causes the most angst - where will the Wests Tigers finish on the table this season? Is anyone brave enough to pick us for the finals, or perhaps you have to be brave to leave the Tigers out of the top 8? Have your say as well. We'd love you to join in the discussion and leave your 2025 predictions on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. After a long off-season Wests Tigers are back in action in the first trial of the 2025 NRL season. The Wests Tigers will meet the Canterbury Bulldogs at Netstrata Stadium (Kogarah Oval) for the trial match at 5pm this Sunday. Ahead of that match, the Wests Tigers Podcast team take a look at the side selected by Benji Marshall, and what our expectations are of the team. Mix of youth and experience Benji has named familiar faces including Lachlan Galvin and David Klemmer for the match, while new recruit Jeral Skelton will also feature on the wing. On this edition of the pod, Joel Helmes, Nick Hayes and Garry Watson put under the microscope the naming of those three likely first round NRL players. Is there anything more to read into their selections? While a whole group of rising stars will also represent the Wests Tigers, including Heath Mason, Latu Fainu, and Tallyn Da Silva. All eyes will also be on round one hopefuls, including Tim Johannssen, Tony Sukkar, Sione Fainu, and Justin Matamua. Sione Fainu was named as an edge forward, does that mean he's a chance of grabbing that seemingly vacant second row spot in the NRL team? A few names missing Also up for discussion is the whereabouts of a few guys that we thought might feature in this first trial, including Adam Doueihi, Starford To'a and Charlie Staines. Does their exclusion mean they're being considered for the NRL team? Brent Naden may have also featured in this game, however he, along with Royce Hunt and Reuben Porter, are on 2025 All Stars duties. While this edition of the podcast wraps up with a quick game of Buy, Sell or Hold with some serious questions around fan expectations and recently departed Wests Tigers players, and a not so serious question about a missing podcast host! The football is so close you can just about touch it, buckle up for a huge 2025 Wests Tigers season with the Wests Tigers Podcast! and don't forget to join us for lots of great Tigers' discussion through the season on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The off-season is well and truly upon us with the Wests Tigers players putting their feet for their October holidays. But pre-season training starts in under a month and we now have the 2025 Wests Tigers coaching team sorted. Club legend Brett Hodgson returns to the fold to work alongside John Morris and Chris Heighington as Benji Marshall's assistants. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast we discuss the appointment of Hodgo, asking the question - was this just once again a case of "jobs for the boys?"? Beyond that coaching discussion we also wrap up the results of our 2024-25 Wests Tigers Fan Survey where will bring you the results from an array of questions, including: Which is your favourite Wests Tigers home ground? The NRL needs to rethink the use of the Bunker? The NSW Cup side should be rebranded as Wests Tigers? Which 2025 Wests Tigers recruit are you most excited about? And things get a little spicy on the pod when Steve and Garry debate the question put to our fellow Wests Tigers fans - Will Wests Tigers finish in the Top 8 in 2025? Hopefully the next edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast contains debate about some confirmed player movement, both into and out of the club, with fingers crossed next week's Player of the Year dinner will bring some news. The Wests Tigers have continued their latest run of losses to seven with another disappointing showing, this time against the Knights. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Eddie Otto for a look at the performance. There's also a big array of 'One Word' submissions courtesy of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. And, although we hate to be having the conversation, Joel and Eddie address the rising concerns around the coaching of Benji Marshall. Can the rookie coach turn this around? There's also discussion around the news that dropped yesterday that Stefano Utoikamanu will leave the Wests Tigers at the end of this season. The boys discuss the situatuion, including whether Benji Marshall should exclude Stefano from the NRL side for the last games of the season. The news also means that the Wests Tigers have an even more hefty bag of cash to spend on players from 2025 on. So, who do we buy? Hey, Hey it's Saturday! The post-match edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast is coming to you early this week with a rare Saturday night show. What is it called this week?). On the agenda - the big list of one-word submissions from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum (thanks everyone). Well, it was good while it lasted, but welcome back to the reality that is rugby league this decade for Wests Tigers fans. The side succumbed to the high-flying Roosters 40-6 at Allianz Stadium on Sunday night. It was a bleak night all around. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we start with the very many 'One Word' submissions that have come in from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. Joel Helmes, Eddie Otto, and Declan McCutcheon then take a look at what went wrong and why we just couldn't match it with one of the Premiership heavyweights. There's a healthy discussion around the use of the Sin Bin by the referees, and ask whether Benji Marshall needs to step up his criticism of the way our games are officiated. There's also a discussion on the performance of Stefano Utoikamanu with the question being posed - is he an elite prop? And the boys also discuss the new Wests Tigers home game plan announced today.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Another very disappointing weekend for the Wests Tigers with the side falling well short against the Dragons. That's despite a quite promising start to the game by our guys. But what's come following that Friday night game has been an even more difficult pill to swallow - the reports that two of our best young players want out of the club. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes, Eddie Otto, and Garry Watson discuss the situation around the future of Lachlan Galvin. Should we be concerned? Is this a Tedesco and Moses situation all over again? Or will Shane Richardson be able to manage the situation? There's also a look at the coach. We hate to see it, but Benji Marshall is increasingly falling under the spotlight as the team records loss after loss. But is Benji actually doing enough work? And what does it look like if we put more support around him? And we bring also you all the one-word responses to Friday night's game against the Dragons from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Almost 20 years ago, writer and media personality Zoe Marshall went through such a deeply traumatic series of experiences – the death of her mother, a family rift and a physically and psychologically abusive relationship – that she considered ending her own life. But then, she leaned into manifestation, or as she calls it, co-creation - and her life took a turn that was almost impossible to believe. In 2024, Zoe has several successful businesses under her belt. She's happily married to former NRL player and now coach Benji Marshall, the mother of two beautiful children, and she's on the brink of a new chapter. On this episode of Something To Talk About, Zoe is very candid about what she calls her “rock bottom”, addressed the intense speculation that has surrounded her husband's strict boundaries between his work and his role as a father and husband and she spoke to Australia's ongoing domestic violence crisis, as a victim survivor herself. If you have experienced or are at risk of family violence, you can call the national counselling service 1800RESPECT. The Wests Tigers have gone down to the Cowboys in Townsville to mark the side's eighth consecutive loss. But despite the 42-28 loss, are there some real signs of life starting to emerge in this team? Joel Helmes is joined by Eddie Otto, Garry Watson, and Steve Stretton to look at the green shoots that might be starting to show. But it isn't all sunshine and rainbows (as you might expect after eight losses!), there's also a look at the not-so-good aspects of Friday night's performance. There's a whole stack of one-word submissions from the members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum too. The boys take a look at the omission of Api Korisau and Stefano Utoikamanu from the first NSW State of Origin side. Ask the question, should the Wests Tigers look at appointing an experienced coach to assist Benji Marshall in 2025 and beyond? Try to work out the real target for CEO Shane Richardson's trip to the UK. And there's discussion around the potential call-up of young Tiger's prop, Jordan Miller.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
On the Midweek Edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast Eddie is joined by Declan and Garry to discuss all thing Wests Tigers. On the back of the Dean Ritchie article, the boys start by discussing the Positive and Negatives between seasons 2023 and 2024. Eddie takes us through his favourite game with a segment of Buy, Sell and Hold, topics include Stefano's contract negotiations, a team in Perth and the controversy surrounding last weekend's loss to the Bulldogs. There is a preview to the Wests Tigers last ever home game in Tamworth, can the Tigers get a win and where are the weaknesses in the lineup Benji Marshall named for the clash against the Newcastle Knights. Yioti's quiz again rounds out the show with the added segment of Eddie's quiz. Thank you for joining us once again on the Wests Tigers Podcast. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Wests Tigers Podcast is back for another big mid-week edition with Eddie Otto and Steve Stretton. This show is tinged with a little sadness, the boys pay tribute to one of the founding members of the Wests Tigers family - Terry Hill. Wests Tiger number 4, Hill passed away yesterday, ironically in the same week that the Tigers wear our heritage Year 2000 jersey to commemorate the first-ever Wests Tigers game. Once again it's the Broncos at Campbelltown, and just like that game in 2000, the Tigers will start as outsiders against a more highly-fancied Brisbane team. Steve and Eddie take a look at where we have to be better in this game if we're going to get the points. There's also a look at some of the positional changes made by Benji Marshall for the match. The two school teachers also give their quarter-year report cards on six key Wests Tigers players based on their performances so far this year. Who gets a pass, who needs to hit the books...find out by hitting play! And don't miss another edition of Yioti's Quiz.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
