It was an extraordinary day this week at Anaheim White House Restaurant, where Chef Bruno Serato opened his doors to raise money for his beloved Caterina's Club so Bruno and his team can feed near 25,000 kids and families in need every month! That's A LOT of Pasta! And we'll find out just how much was raised at yesterday's #PastaThon when we speak with him. Bruno has become a friend over the years, and many of us call him a saint. His generosity was inspired by his mom, Caterina, who gave him the inspiration to feed hungry children in nearby Anaheim. He took the challenge, and 13 years later, he's been recognized by Time Magazine, CNN Heros, the Pope, and others around the globe. We will talk with Bruno about his humble beginnings before moving to the United States, where his restaurant quickly became a fixture in Southern California. But he's faced plenty of tough times, like the evening his restaurant burned to the ground a few years ago, and his first thought was, “how will I feed the children.” He rebuilt, and came back stronger than ever. Please join me in welcoming Bruno to our #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast and #DeborahKobyltLIVE on all video and audio platforms.

On today's episode, Maria Elena Infantino, an Italian born singer and actress that performs in 7 languages talks about breaking into the US music scene in spite of her original passion having been acting. She discusses overcoming obstacles, the power of networking, and the willingness to be flexible and embrace the journey. Maria studies acting at The London Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. After graduation, she starred in the ITV Yorkshire television series "Emmerdale", and began her singing career at the Royal Albert Hall, with Dame Shirley Bassey for the 50th Beatles anniversary. She then produced her first west end show in London in honor of her late father, the legendary tenor, Luigi Infantino. She moved to Los Angeles after being nominated as best international singer at the LA Music Awards in 2011. Her LA debut was at the Marilyn Monroe theatre at the Lee Strasberg institute with her one woman show on Edith Piaf. Her many credits and collaborations include working with Maestro Andrea Morriconme, Maestro Umberto Scipione, Mike Stoller, and concerts in prestigious venues worldwide . However, my favorite accolades for Maria include those where she serves non-profits. She is on the advisory board of directors for CNN hero, Bruce Serato's charity, "Caterina's Club" which feeds 5,000 underprivileged children in the US per day. She also recently accepted a seat on the Ranch Hand Rescue advisory board, where the organization brings together severely abused people and severely abused animals for a counseling program. Maria's current disco show, "Bambino" a tribute to Dalida, debuts in LA December 5th which is SOLD OUT. However, you can still get tickets for Thursday Dec. 6, 2018 @ http://greenwaycourttheatre.org/dalida/You can follow Maria on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/Maria-Elena-Infantino-FAN-CLUB-277896822271825/or on IG @mariaelenainfantino_official
