A conversation about how emergence can be the foundation a new society. We talk about how societies can create containers for healthy decision making. And how sacred containers can allow for the emergence of the planetary movement we're longing for. David Sauvage asks, how do we create the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible? In my first episode after returning from the Emerge gathering in Austin, we discuss the future of collective decision-making, reflect on our shared past with Occupy Wallstreet, and consider the role of participatory democracy in what is emerging. David puts preliminary words to a vision originating from the gathering this summer. https://www.davidsauvage.com [00:00:00] Introducing David [00:05:24] David's Vision from the Emerge gathering.

David Sauvage is an empath, deeply attuned to the emotional states of people around him. He's best known for his performance art doing intuitive readings in front of audiences. His journey towards embracing his abilities - not only to understand other people's emotions but also to help them understand their own - is a remarkable one, fraught with challenges, struggle, loss. And, ultimately, a humble embrace of all the things he thought he was meant to run from. This resonates deeply with me. Whenever I find myself trying to repress or distance myself from my emotions, the outcomes are never good. David's invitation in this conversation is to confront that which we're most afraid of, or that which causes us the most pain. In a world so committed to comfort, convenience, and surface harmony, this deeply counter-cultural stance has the power to transform who we are.If you care at all about expressing yourself fully and helping others do the same, this conversation is for you. I can't wait for you to get a taste of what becomes possible as David and I enter the church of what wants to happen. The Wonder Dome Newsletter http://bit.ly/3dTfdPiFollow Andy on Twitter http://twitter.com/cahillaguerillaLike us on Facebook http://facebook.com/mindfulcreative.coachEPISODE #52 NOTESDavid featured in The GuardianHealing Heals the Healer Too by David SauvageEmpath Pop-UpDavidSauvage.cominstagram.com/empathnyc facebook.com/empath.nyclinkedin.com/in/dsauvageyoutube.com/user/dsauvage

Super Power U: Mental Models and Tactical Skills To Activate Your Inner Superhero
I've been thinking a lot recently about Shame and about the next stage of our Shelter in Place experience now that we are in the second month of the current Shelter in Place rulings. At the same time some states are lifting the restrictions and many people are protesting the bans. As is so often the case, when human being feel afraid we get reactive and either fight or flee. In my conversation with Sunne Justice, David Sauvage and Josh Whiton we talked about the connection between Shame and Fear, Compassion, then Love. But ultimately I think it might be about surrender, too. This came about because last week, I asked my friends what topics they thought I should create content. Sunne Justice, suggested that I write about the most Shameful think I've ever done, that lead to me changing my life forever. The woman doesn't pull any punches. So we got together the next day to talk about shame. I thought I'd share that conversation with you.
David and I discuss a variety of topics including what ignites him on his journey of healing and empathy. Join us for a very candid discussion on how he embodies his truth each day as an empath in a very complex world...
David Sauvage shares what he believes humanity's utopian future could look like, if we each embody our truest selves. Among many ideas he suggests we do this by transcending our phycological limitations and creating systems that encourage us to operate from a sophisticated level of loving awareness as a collective people.David Sauvage is an empath.
Super Power U: Mental Models and Tactical Skills To Activate Your Inner Superhero
Feelings and needs matter and David Sauvage is an empath who can experience them directly. David gives readings as performance art and teaches fellow empaths how to thrive through online courses. In a very light and playful way he helps others to get in touch with their own emotions and to experience their innate ability to tune in empathically to others around them. He is currently doing a one-man play in New York called “Empath,” about his discovery of this ability and gift. David and Lisa discuss the importance of the emotional experience, the energetic shifts and needs we are facing now in our culture, and how his work and art helps to change the narrative. SHOW NOTES “For us to heal from the oppressive structures that we live in right now, we will need to embrace the unpredictable, emergent, and messy emotionality. Only that can lead us out.” Super Power U Facebook Page Super Power U Podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Google PlayLisaBL.com Empath Empath on Facebook empathnyc on Instagram

David Sauvage is an empath: he feels other people's emotions and reflects back what is going on with them at the deepest level. The Guardian and Vice profiled him as a master of his craft. He consults for companies on how to integrate empathy into their culture; he teaches empaths how to cope and thrive; and he performs intuitive readings in art galleries, in virtual reality, in theaters and at festivals. He performed at South by Southwest. And he is fresh off a sold out run of a one man she where he enacted his story.
David explains and demonstrates the forgotten technology of human-to-human connectivity through an invisible field of cosmic intelligence. He reads my current emotional state by sensing my field with his eyes shut, to absolute accuracy.David Sauvage is an Empath.
Recently we've been hearing more about “empaths”, those who pick up and internalize the feelings, the emotions, of other people. That's how David Sauvage describes his own experience. We discuss how David discovered that much of the pain he carried was not his own, and how he learned to protect himself by creating safe boundaries, and at times consciously processes those emotions to release them. As he came to understand his capabilities, David turned his vulnerability into a power to help heal others — through one-on-one readings, teaching, and through live performances. David has been profiled in the Guardian and on Vice TV.Find more about David Sauvage here: https://www.empath.nyc/Follow us on Instagram @ The Evolver Podcast. The Evolver is sponsored by The Alchemist's Kitchen, a botanical dispensary dedicated to the power of plants, where you can ask an herbalist to recommend the herbal remedy that's most right for you.Theme music is “Measure by Measure,” courtesy of DJ Spooky, aka Paul D.
