Our special guest is Dean Michael, The Tax Doctor: Founder of Tax Help MD. Dean has been helping individuals and businesses resolve back tax problems for more than 20 years. More than 25 years ago Dean found himself at odds with the IRS. At that time he found the help that he needed and figured he couldn't be the only one in this country making these types of tax mistakes. So he researched and found that 1 out of every 3 people in the country have back tax problems. He surrounded himself with tax professionals and learned everything he could about the tax resolution industry. Now Dean teaches CPA's, Enrolled Agents and Tax Attorneys how to resolve back tax issues and has been helping people who made the same mistakes he did ever since. Join us as Dean shares his vast knowledge of the tax code and the IRS, and how you can stay off the IRS' radar.
GPPR Editor-in-Chief Jake Ford and Senior Interview Editor Disraeli Smith sat down with Dean Michael Bailey, Interim Dean of the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown. During this discussion, we talked about books, uncertainty in global institutions, polarization, gerrymandering, whether Trump is hear to stay, the courts, the role of public policy schools and more. Also peep our transition around the 19 minute mark to Davos
Dean Michael has been in the tax resolution industry for more than 20 years. The professional tax team he’s created has a vast amount of knowledge and experience that surpasses all others. Dean has worked with a lot of tax professionals in his many years but these particular tax pros have always lead the pack when it comes to solving what would otherwise be unsolvable. He has nicknamed them "The Dean Team" and considers them to be “The Best of The Best”. Dean has revolutionized the industry over the years and Tax Help MD is raising the bar on tax resolution services. Providing not only the best solutions available but also giving clients the attention they deserve at a cost they can afford. There are some bad apples in the tax resolution industry. They’ll promise a magic wand approach or a pennies on the dollar settlement to everyone. Whether they qualify or not, while quoting thousands of dollars in fees before really understand what needs to be done in the first place. Many years ago Dean implemented a process called Transcript Investigation. He completes a fact-finding investigation of IRS transcripts to determine the problem. Then he creates real solutions to each specific problem before ever quoting any fees to handle a case. This was monumental in the tax resolution business and has since become standard practice throughout the industry. Although his practices are imitated across the country, his genuine high standards and inception of these practices started here. Tax Help MD, your cure for tax problems
