By the beginning of 2022, Alex had entertained at multiple State Fairs (Kentucky, Missouri, New York, Washington, Wisconsin), and opened for Hank, Jr, Josh Turner, Lee Brice, and Shenandoah. His star continued to rise, and even more bookings rolled in with Miller opening for Brooks & Dunn, Jamey Johnson, King Calaway, and Aaron Watson in 2022. Additionally, he shared the stage with Diamond Rio and Sawyer Brown and debuted at the popular Wild Rose Casinos in Iowa.  By the end of 2023, Alex had appeared on bills with: Chris Janson, Chapel Hart, Drake Milligan, Noah Thompson, Dillon Carmichael, HunterGirl, Emily Ann Roberts and Tracy Byrd. That intrigued young Timmy so much that he picked up a beginner guitar they had lying around the house and started playing around. From there it blossomed into writing music and playing shows. “My whole childhood I would play 2-3 shows during the weekend and go to school during the week. Write music after class. I just fell in love with it” he shares. McKeever got offered a development deal with Jim Cantino over at Droptine Records. McKeever just released his debut album “Devils and Angels”, and it's been getting good feedback. “Devils in Angels is an album that follows all the aspects of love from the beginning to the end and the aftermath. All the highs and lows and in betweens. It's very personal to me because the title track was the first song I ever wrote where I thought this is something really special to me.” He adds that he saved the song for the past two years because he wanted it as the title track of his debut project. Support the show

Dan Smalley may just now be making a name for himself, but he sings with the voice of experience. The Alaska born military brat who came of age in Shreveport, Louisiana, has a way of making you believe what he's singing. Smalley expresses a fresh take on Country music that knows tradition, inspired by the greats of the genre and infused with the swampy sounds of his roots, the Gospel of hardwood church pews and the impassioned delivery of Soul music. Artists like Merle Haggard, Ray Charles, Waylon Jennings, Al Green, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and other legends provided inspiration, while the against-the-grain success of Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson drew him to Nashville. There, he worked with producer Keith Stegall on his Debut EP IF I'M BEING HONEST which came out in 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic. From there Smalley navigated in and out of Major Record deals and honed his direction after producing his first Full-Length Record THE STATE OF COUNTRY MUSIC, set to release Independently(Smallside Records) through Onerpm May 10, 2024.   As a songwriter, artists like Ashley McBryde(Grammy Nominated album “Never Will”) Trace Adkins, Randall King, Jerrod Nieman, Makayla Lynn, Dillon Carmichael and others have included Smalley co-writes on their recent releases.  Dan's delivery on stage has landed him on bills alongside Willie Nelson, Allison Kraus, Turnpike Troubadours, Ashley McBryde, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Eli Young Band, Justin Moore, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Rogers Band, Ryan Bingham and a list of notable others both in the US and abroad.  Smalley has played some of the greatest festivals in the world(Faster Horses, Country Fest, Frank Brown Songwriter, Nashville Nights International Songwriter Festival)and is making his “Buckle and Boots”(Manchester) Debut in May 2024 as well as his Heartland Fest(Denmark) Debut in June of 2024 after his most recent UK/DK Spring Tour through Glasgow, Belfast, England and Denmark.    Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

You crafted your songs. You've put your heart and soul into them, but when you're on stage, the response from the audience is lackluster at best. Is it the material you're performing. In many cases, while the songs are excellent, the presentation is not. Where in the song is the moment on stage that defines who you are? This is where Tom Jackson Productions steps in. As a trained Live Music Producer for Tom Jackson Productions, Amy Wolter offers her years of personal experience onstage, along with a multi-layered musical background, to help artists engage their audiences by creating compelling, memorable live shows. Amy has helped hundreds of artists of all genres, prep for major headline and opening act tour slots, and showcases for labels, and spoken at Artist Workshops around the country. A few of her clients include Grammy award winners The Band Perry & Lacrae, CMA and ACM –winning country acts Gloriana and Thompson Square, Riser House country artist Dillon Carmichael, Capitol Christian's breakout artist Anne Wilson, contestants for The Voice & American Idol, Dove award winners Francesca Battistelli & Sidewalk Prophets, as well as top Canadian artists & Canadian Country Music Association winners High Valley, Jess Moskaluke & Chad Brownlee. Amy works with artists at all levels, empowering them to have confidence and authority onstage. "I've learned by a lot from being onstage myself, and know the importance of connecting with an audience. If a crowd doesn't enjoy watching you, or have an ‘experience' at your show, then what's the point of them seeing you live?" says Amy. Dillon Carmichael unleashed his brilliant debut, ‘Hell On An Angel.' Produced by Dave Cobb—the studio guru behind country radio powerhouses like Chris Stapleton and Zac Brown Band. The New York Times compared Carmichael to Randy Travis and said his rich baritone voice “moves with the heft and certainty of a tractor-trailer,” while NPR praised his “deep holler,” and Parade raved that “Carmichael defines pure country.” He landed on Artist To Watch lists from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Taste of Country, Pandora, and more, reached #2 at Country radio's Most Added chart with his debut radio single, “Dancing Away With My Heart,” electrified festival crowds from CMA Fest to Dierks Bentley's Seven Peaks, and earned tour dates with Aaron Lewis, Dwight Yoakam, Trace Adkins, The Cadillac Three, and A Thousand Horses among others.

Dillon Carmichael is the founder of Redefining Black Masculinity. The Redefining Black Masculinity project works to document and express the black masculine identity in all of its facets, with the intention of providing insight and helping to expand the culture through deeper understanding. In this interview, Carmichael, who hails from Irvington, NJ, shares the family story that helped spark the project, he explains a bit about how black masculinity is traditionally policed with "no homo" assertions and more, and he talks about what he learned about masculinity and race while attending an all boys' school in Pennsylvania. He discusses his quest to capture not only the struggles, but the joy and happiness of an inclusive black masculine experience through interviews, poetry, dance, and beyond. Carmichael is doing a lot for someone who humbly calls himself, "just a 24-year-old trying to find his way." The 3 Random Facts that begin the show include New York's law making it legal for women to go topless in public, a tale of Coke and Pepsi, and Robin remembers her father, who passed away 14 years ago to the day this episode first posts. Then in News, Wendy Sheridan, Robin Renée, and Mary McGinley discuss the horrors of Russian bounties for US soldiers, the exciting news about polyamorous domestic partnerships now recognized in Somerville, MA, and proposals for combination online and in-person college classes that has Mary wondering if it's safer to retire. (Post-recording, Wendy wondered if maintaining some in-person classes is a move by the universities to retain their foreign students in the US on student visas since ICE has announced that any college students attending a 100% online school must leave the country.) Robin gives a report on a beach trip, during which social distancing was possible, but the behaviors of some were cause for concern. SPOILER ALERT for the Geekscape segment -- It's all about She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, with an emphasis on its fifth and final season. Wendy, Mary, and Robin consider the relationships between Scorpia and Catra, Bow and Glimmer, and Catra and Adora, the portrayal of and instrumental role of Entrapta, and the journey to the Heart of Etheria as a metaphor for inner work and possibly environmentalism. They celebrate the overall queerness of the series and the way it advances portrayals of queerness in media. Is She-Ra a playbook for how to fight fascism? Will love save us in the real world? *Apologies for the sound quality at times during this show. Robin will have a new headset in time for the next episode... Promise!
