For over a decade, the French-Brazilian music producer, pianist, and live act Ella Romand has been lighting up the electronic music scene, combining the ethnic rhythms of her home country Brazil with Deep and Melodic House in a unique way. Ella has been consistently delivering outstanding sets wherever she performs, whether at intimate clubs like Do Not Sit On The Furniture or at major festivals such as Ultra, Electric Zoo, III Points, SXM Festival, or Cityfox Live. In addition, Ella has graced the stages of top clubs across the world including Superior Ingredients (NY), Vagalume (Tulum), The Great Northern (San Francisco), Gardens of Babylon (GE) and Brooklyn Mirage (NY). Her passion for music started early on as she is a classically trained pianist. She went further with her career and moved to the U.S. to pursue a degree in Music, specializing in Music Technology at Florida International University. Her background as a pianist led her to perform live during her DJ sets, taking the crowd on a melodic journey with her keys and synths, first with her electronic trio Dsided in 2015, and later on her solo career. One of Ella's highlights as a producer was when she co-produced, composed, and performed with the acclaimed New World Symphony, working with over 80 musicians for a one-of-a-kind encounter of Classical and Electronic music. Ella's international performances have reached countries like Mexico, Australia, France, Jamaica, Germany, and Costa Rica to name a few. She is now based in Miami, where her moody melodies blended with ethnic sounds have allowed her to play alongside DJs like Bob Moses, Sébastien Léger, Lee Burridge, Marsh, Bedouin, Rodriguez Jr, Eli & Fur, Nick Warren, Damian Lazarus, Who Made Who and many more in her 12+ years of career. Her newest endeavor is her radio show called Ellaments, featuring new and upcoming artists and labels of Deep, Melodic & Afro House, reaching more than 300K plays in the last three years. В завершении программы представляю киевский лейбл Eleatics Records и французского артиста Invoker, который издал на этом популярном лейбле свой последний трек Hope Song, который очень удачно вписался на финишной прямой. В регулярной рубрике BONUS TRACK у меня сегодня звездный дуэт Deep Dish с их потрясающим треком Sexy III, который прекрасно демонстрирует звучание того периода в карьере дуэта, когда Deep Dish были на вершине клубного progressive олимпа. Релиз был издан конгломератом Sony BMG, а это, как вы знаете, 100% коммерческий успех артистов, которые имеют дело с такого рода мейджором. Музыкант Underher выпустил на культовом лейбле Renaissance релиз под названием Everything Goes, на который сделали великолепный ломанный ремикс музыканты Heik и Words Of Nio. Хочу сразу отметить, что Renaissance у меня сегодня будет представлен сразу двумя релизами, оба очень качественные, под стать именитому лейблу. Проект Icarus с потрясающим треком Between Us отправит вас в настоящее путешествие по ломанным волнам, настолько он грамотно и качественно написан. Музыкант Koreless с треком Black Rainbow послужил неким экватором программы, разделяющим два электронных берега под названием breaks & progressive. Как всегда умная, вдумчивая и мелодичная музыка от Пола Фолдера в виде трека La Ronde De Renard продолжает путешествие по электронным волнам вселенной. Релиз состоялся на собственном лейбле Бена Reworck. Голландский музыкант и диджей Eelke Kleijn издал на своем импринте Days Like Nights ремикс на трек You из его последнего альбома. Вокальную партию You исполнила киевская вокалистка Diana Miro, а потрясный ремикс сделал мастеровитый голландец Patrice Baumel. Израильский продюсер Shai Tibi aka Shai T издал на популярном рекординге господина Беруза Do Not Sit On The Furniture трек под названием Gates Of Thebai, который моментально попал в плейлисты лучших диджеев мира и конечно же в кейс вашего покорного слуги. 10 лет прошло с момента издания на культовом британском лейбле Hope пластинки Buenos Aires от Ника Уоррена. И вот спустя целую декаду, британец решил переиздать релиз и добавить к нему современую версию от именитого ремиксера Nicolas Rada. Релиз состоялся конечно же на рекорд-лейбле Ника Уоррена Hope Recordings. Еще одно переиздание на современный лад культовой пластинки Surface от коллаборации артистов Paul Anthonee и уважаемого мною звездного музыканта Michael Burns aka Panoptic. Кстати, первый, оригинальный релиз Surface датируется 2003 годом в издательстве одного из лучших прогрессив лейблов нулевых Minimal Records, пластинки коего в коллекции вашего покорного слуги конечно же имеются. Белорусский талант Dmitry Molosh со своим новым "народным" треком запомнится многим энергичной прогрессив и вокальной партиями. Narodnaya от Дмитрия просто отменно выводит программу на ее финишную progressive прямую. Динамичную сторону progressive показывают латиноамеринское сообщество в лице музыканта Antrim и проекта Analog Jungs с их новым треком Red Shadows. Задушевная гармония, динамика и потрясающие смены тональностей делают релиз Sudbeat настоящим киллером танцполов и подводят MAXIMUM к постоянной рубрике TRACK OF THE MONTH. треком месяца на этот раз становится релиз упомянутого мною ранее Renaissance Recordings. Красивейший вокальный ремикс немецкого вундеркинда Tim Engelhardt на трек You Can't Give Me What I Want от канадского диджея и продюсера Underher. Я уверен, ритмы You Can't Give Me What I Want надолго останутся в ваших головах, ваших душах и сердцах. В хронике винила у меня сегодня культовая пластинка от музыканта Petter под названием These Days. Вышла пластинка в 2003 году на именитом лейбле Deep Records и так бы и осталась добротным, но рядовым релизом той эпохи, если бы не одно важное событие. В 2005 году пластинку These Days переиздает импринт Люка Шейбла Trojan Records, а ремиксы делают суперзвездные артисты Sasha и собственно сам владелец лейбла Luke Chable. Для своего шоу я выбрал потрясающий ремикс диджея Саши, который он делал специально под свой проект и серию компиляций Involver. French-Brazilian Ella Romand is based in Miami (U) and actually makes her own Limoncello. So the drink choice was set in stone. We tried hard, but she won't share her secret recipe of the delicious drink à la Ella . Thank good she shares the musical interpretation of it. For the past decade, Ella Romand has been lighting up the scene in South Florida, combining the rhythms of her home country Brazil with Deep and Melodic House. Her residencies include clubs like Do Not Sit On The Furniture and Treehouse further is she playing at major festivals such as Ultra and III Points. Her background as a pianist led her to perform live during her DJ sets, first with her electronic music group Dsided, then on her own solo live acts. Ella is a classically trained pianist and has a degree in Music Technology from Florida International University. Besides numerous gigs with the who-is-who of the scene, Ella was also invited to co-produce, compose and perform with the acclaimed New World Symphony, working with over 80 musicians for a one-of-a-kind encounter of Classical and Electronic music. Her newest endeavor is her podcast series called Ellaments, featuring new and upcoming artists and labels of Deep, Progressive, Afro, and Melodic House, reaching more than 50K plays through her show. Reflections and shadows move in and out of one another, dreams become reality... For our 8th chapter, Canopy Sounds welcomes German trio, PHCK. Friends, songwriters, producers, instrumentalists, performers and deep dreamers. Formed in 2014 in the town of Pforzheim, Germany - a stone's throw to the Black Forest - the collective sounds of Paul Hoffer & Chris Kusterer & Stefan Kling have slowly but surely inundated the deep house and downtempo/electronica scenes around the world. Their productions cary a certain amount of raw delicacy that inspires deep reflection and emotion. Crediting his Ghananian roots as the soul of his music style, Nii Tei is a Miami, FL based DJ who has been a music enthusiast since birth. Also an avid fan of disco, house, techno, minimal, and Afro-influenced sounds, his sets are electrically infused with musical components of his mother country-- a style he's developed and perfected over the course of 5 years.
