It's Wednesday, May 28th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Somalian Muslim man trusts Christ and is kicked out of home A young Muslim man in Somalia was kicked out of his home recently after converting to Christianity.  The 20-year-old struggled with substance abuse and had not been home to see his Muslim parents for months. That's when an underground pastor shared the Gospel with him. The young man came to Christ and gained freedom from drug use. After going home, however, his parents drove him away because of his new faith. The young convert told Morning Star News, “Now that I have loved [Jesus], I do not have a family standing with me. I do no not know what to do. I need prayers.” Please pray for this brother in Christ in Somalia, Africa. The country is ranked second on the Open Doors' World Watch List of most difficult places to be a Christian.  In Matthew 19:29, Jesus said, “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” French Muslim youth vandalizing Catholic churches and assaulting Catholics The European Conservative reports there have been a string of attacks on churches in France recently which have received little attention from the mainstream media. In one case, Islamic youths insulted a Catholic priest and threatened to set the church building on fire earlier this month. Days earlier, another group disrupted a parish meeting in the same area. Muslim attacks on Catholics have included vandalism, physical assault, and kidnapping. Supremes split decision result: OK religious charter school unfunded In the United States, the Supreme Court delivered a split decision last Thursday in a case involving religious education. Previously, Oklahoma's charter school board had approved funding for St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School. It would have been the country's first publicly-funded religious charter school.  However, Oklahoma's Supreme Court blocked the school. And the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 4-4 in the case, leaving the lower court ruling in place.  For some reason, conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett recused herself from the case.  Defense Secretary Hegseth: "“King Jesus, we come humbly before You." U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth led a prayer meeting at the Pentagon last Wednesday. Listen to his opening prayer. HEGSETH: “If you would bow your head in prayer. “King Jesus, we come humbly before You, seeking Your face, seeking Your grace, in humble obedience to your law and to Your Word. We come as sinners, saved only by that grace, seeking Your providence in our lives and in our nation. “Lord God, we ask for the wisdom to see what is right, and in each and every day, in each and every circumstance, the courage to do what is right in obedience to Your will. “It is in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that we pray. And all God's people said, Amen. Thank you.” The voluntary 30-minute prayer meeting was called “Secretary of Defense Christian Prayer & Worship Service.” Hegseth said it may become a monthly event.  Colossians 4:2 says, “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” Planned Parenthood to close 8 abortion mills in Iowa and Minnesota Last Friday, Planned Parenthood North Central States announced it will close eight locations across Iowa and Minnesota over the next year. Planned Parenthood blamed the closures on states passing anti-abortion laws as well as a freeze on federal funding for abortion. The closures will also involve laying off 66 staff members. CDC no longer recommends COVID-19 shot for pregnant women & kids The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will no longer recommend COVID-19 shots for pregnant women and healthy children. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made the announcement yesterday. KENNEDY: “Hi everybody. I'm Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, your HHS Secretary.  And I'm here with NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya and FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty MaKary. “I couldn't be more pleased to announce that, as of today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC-recommended immunization schedule. Last year, the Biden administration urged healthy children to get yet another COVID shot, despite the lack of any clinical data to support the repeat booster strategy in children! BHATTACHARYA: “That ends today. It's common sense and it's good science.” MAKARY: “There's no evidence healthy kids need it today. And most countries have stopped recommending it for children.” KENNEDY: “We're now one step closer to realizing President Trump's promise to make America healthy again.” Lawmakers want to launch “Natural Family Month” Republican lawmakers in Ohio are considering a bill to celebrate families. The measure would designate the weeks from Mother's Day to Father's Day as “Natural Family Month.” The timeframe goes from the second Sunday in May to the third Sunday in June. This contrasts with Homosexual/Transgender Pride Month when many celebrate sexually perverted lifestyles in June. 1,500-year-old Christian graves in Israel discovered And finally, archaeologists recently uncovered 1,500-year-old Christian graves in Israel's Negev Desert. The graves reflect Christian burial practices. Inside, archaeologists found rare ebony figurines depicting individuals with African features. Researchers wrote, “It is possible that the deceased were of ‘Ethiopian' origin, and that they, or their ancestors, converted to Christianity and moved to the Negev.” The figurines were made out of ebony wood sourced from India or Sri Lanka and likely carved in Africa before being brought to the Negev.  Researchers believe it is the first time they have discovered such artifacts in the region of Israel and Jordan.  Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, May 28th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Marine Le Pen, the far-right candidate, has proposed a ban on Muslim women wearing headscarves in public, and she's in striking distance of upsetting Emmanuel Macron, France's current centrist president. With the debate over French identity and rampant Islamaphobia flaring up again, Nothing is Foreign host Tamara Khandaker speaks with guest, Rim-Sarah Alouane, a French legal scholar, who says it's "draining" to feel as a French Muslim that "you are never enough." French Muslim leaders recently approved a "charter of principles", a text which outlines Islam's compatibility with the French Republic and provides a framework for the training of new imams. But this isn't entirely new for France. On the remote Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, the capital's mosque is already run without foreign influence and future imams learn about French history. Some suggest this could serve as a model for the mainland. Our France 2 colleagues report, with FRANCE 24's James Vasina.

In France Laïcité (secularism) is a principle the republic has guarded fiercely. French Muslim communities often complaint this is to their detriment. In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks, President Macron has strongly defended secularism in France, home to Europe's largest Muslim population. As the French Muslim identity becomes hyper-politicised, the question of Islam and its compatibility with “French” values once again enters the public discourse. Yet, Muslims themselves are often left out of these critical conversations. On this episode Muddassar Ahmed sits down with a panel of experts to talk about the future of Muslims in France, the correct response in a climate of increased stigmatisation, and what kind of example France sets with its existential battle against radical Islam. The conversation is moderated by Salam Al-Marayati (President of the Muslim Public Affairs Council) and our panellists include Myriam Francois (Journalist & Research Associate at the Centre of Islamic Studies, SOAS University of London), Melissa Haffaf (Program Director of the Gender + Justice Initiative at Georgetown University) and Yasser Louati (human rights and civil liberties activist with a focus on Islamophobia).

Today on The Leaders' Brief - Indian has been mired by large scale protests after the government passed three farm laws on September 27th this year, which allows multiple marketing channels for farmers and provides for a legal framework for farmers to enter into pre-arranged contract with corporates. Behind the glitter of bettering livelihoods, and the Modi-cabinet's strong assurance, the laws lack some aspects to their structure potentially creating large pricing disparities that threaten about 48% percent of the country's population, or 80% of all its farmers.  French ministers have approved the highly controversial separatism bill for debate in Parliament in January next year. The Reinforcing Republican Principles Bill, unveiled by French President Emmanuel Macron last Wednesday plans to tackle “Islamist radicalism” and “separatists”. It has raised concerns that it could be discriminating against French Muslim citizens.  Britain recently inked a trade agreement with Singapore as it prepares to finalise its exit from the European Union. The 17 million pounds or approximately $22 billion trade deal is similar to Singapore's free trade pact with the EU and places a 2024 timeline to remove allowed duties, and immediately exempts 84% of tariffs that apply to Singapore exports to the UK. French Crackdown on Islamists Following Teacher Beheadin - Beyond the Matrix

On Sunday, October 18, 2020, tens of thousands of Parisians including French President Macron filled Place de la République protesting the grisly beheading of French schoolteacher, Samuel Paty by an 18-year-old Chechen refugee at the junior high school in a suburb. Thousands rallied in other major French cities. The Macron Government is taking this latest jihadist attack with seriousness and dispatch going after those Islamists who fomented a fatwa against the hapless late Professor Paty who displayed the Charlie Hebdo cartoons in his civic class as an example of freedom of speech. Those Charlie Hebdo Cartoons inflamed jihadists on January 7, 2015 to attack the former editorial offices killing 11; while another jihadist took hostages at a Kosher supermarket, killing four Jews. The Macron government and most French revere secular education and teachers are held in high esteem in the society. However, this time it appears that the French Interior Ministry and the counterterrorism prosecutors are going after those who are considered “accomplices after the fact” in the commission of this crime shutting down alleged French Muslim anti-Islamophobia civil rights groups and Mosques supporting Islamic separatism in France. Interior Minister Gérard Darmanin declared: “They launched a fatwa against him (Paty).” The father of a schoolgirl and his accomplice—a notorious anti- Zionist agitator, head of the Cheikh Yassin association—fomented revolt against the teacher, Samuel Paty, who showed Mohamed cartoons in a lesson on freedom of speech. Investigators have discovered that they communicated by phone with the 18-year-old Chechen refugee who beheaded the teacher in Conflans Ste. Honorine and was shot nd killed by French police. Turkey’s Erdogan, the presumptive leader of a Muslim Brotherhood alliance has declared a “boycott’ of France, a NATO partner saying that Macron needed his head examined for condoning caricatures of the prophet of Islam. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the French leader has “lost his way.” France announced it was recalling its ambassador for consultations. France’s Jews have responded by calling for solidarity with President Macron, who has called out rising anti-Semitism given the current trial of accomplices in the January 7, 2015 Charlie Hebdo “massacre" and disturbing testimony by surviving French Jewish hostages at the Hyper Casher Market. Jerry Gordon, a Senior Editor at the New English Review and Producer and co-host of Israel News Talk Radio – Beyond the Matrix reached out to Nidra Poller, American ex-pat in Paris, writer, translator, author, and journalist for her views. She has written extensively on Islamic Antisemitism, murders of French Jews over the past two decades. She was an early investigator in the Mohamed Al Dura “blood libel” propounded by Palestinian activities and leftist journalists against Israel that occurred in Gaza on September 30, 2000 at the start of the Second Intifada ,the subject of French trials she covered involving the France 2 TV news. See her book, "Al Dura: Long Range Ballistic Myth" (2014) . Solidarity and Historical Memory As the prime minister of Hungary announces that his country will not accept Muslim refugees, Professor Paola Bacchetta talks with Michèle Sibony, commentator and spokesperson for the French Jewish Union for Peace about Islamophobia and claims of rising anti-Semitism in France.  Sibony locates the roots of French Muslim resentment against Jews in the colonial history of both communities, but also talks about how her group and others have been able to break through that history of mistrust by simple demonstrations of solidarity.  They also discuss the specific targeting of Arab and Muslim women by neoconservative rhetoric and policies. We also look at the controversy over plans to build a memorial to Asian women forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military in World War II. Monuments to the “comfort women” have been approved in Glendale, California, Long Island, New York, and a number of other cities around the world.  But some feminists say the memorials unfairly single out Japan and promote racism against an already traumatized community: Japanese Americans. Japanese American activist Kathy Masaoka talks with Preeti Shekar about why her group, Nikkei for Civil Rights and Redress, supports the memorials.
