On today's episode we welcome Bethany Lundell Garver. Beth is Dean of Practice at the Boston Architectural College, where she oversees college-wide courses and career programs that connect academic knowledge to real-world challenges. She directs the Gateway Office BAC, an innovative "community-based design uncenter" that expands design agency through civic engagement. Before joining the BAC in 2014, she spent many years with Rafael Viñoly Architects, working on significant laboratory and healthcare projects. She was recently recognized with the 2025 AIA/ACSA Practice and Leadership Award and the 2024 AIA Young Architects Award. Chuck is back and looking great for his age! The Mariners snapped a 5-game losing streak, thank goodness and they did it behind just enough offense and 14 strikeouts by Furious George. :30- Mariners Morning After- just like we all predicted, Polanco, Garver and Solano came through offensively. George dominated in his 4th start since returning from injury, striking out a whopping 14 Angels batters. HIGHLIGHTS ATTACHED- two separate files, one of general game highlights and another montage of all 14 Kirby strikeouts (well, 13 since they fully talked over one and never acknowledged it) :45- Coach Bucky is back after a week away and we have some things to talk to him about! - How does Coach Bucky feel about the extra antics in college baseball? - Chuck ran into his college baseball coach annnnd, at least he was remembered for something!

With the 2025 Major League Baseball season kicking off this week Machinery Pete shares the very timely tale from 70+ years ago of a young farm boy from Ney, OH who went on to become a Major League Baseball star, winning 20 Games as a pitcher for the 1951 St. Louis Browns who lost 102 games that year. After his baseball career Garver returned to Ney, OH and lived a quiet yet very involved life in his hometown. Story told by Dean Jackson who became a lifelong friend of Garver Greg.
