Jelani Vanholten didn't grow up wanting to work inside one of America's most dangerous jails—but life led him behind the walls of Rikers Island. After attending college and trying several career paths, he put on the correctional officer uniform and was assigned to one of Rikers' most feared units: The House of Pain.Inside those walls, respect wasn't given—it was earned. Jelani became known as a CO who treated inmates with firmness and fairness, earning credibility from both staff and prisoners. But the longer he stayed inside Rikers, the darker the job became. From daily violence and psychological battles to navigating gang politics and surviving high-tension housing units, Jelani saw the brutal reality of New York City's jail system up close. But everything changed when he felt his life was in danger—and the department didn't have his back. #RikersIsland #PrisonStories #FormerCO #LawEnforcementLife #PrisonGuard #InsideTheSystem #WhyIQuit #truecrimepodcast Connect with Jelani Vanholten: https://www.instagram.com/broadwaycasino?igsh=MXFxMDdjc3owZTl3OQ== Hosted, Executive Produced & Edited By Ian Bick: https://www.instagram.com/ian_bick/?hl=en https://ianbick.com/ Shop Locked In Merch: http://www.ianbick.com/shop Timestamps: 00:00 The Rikers “House of Pain” Unit Explained 00:38 Who Is Delani? This episode tackles the spectacle of performative masculinity and the rise of man-fluencers like Liver King, Wes Watson, and Jack Donovan. We expose the marketing behind ancestral tenets, supplement empires, and controversial ideologies. From Liver King's arrest to Jack Donovan's far-right leanings, we question what's real versus contrived. We highlight the contrast between performative posturing and authentic growth, featuring a post from Kelvin Davis as a grounded example. We also critique how workouts like Murph get hijacked by social media. Wrapping with a wild gorilla-versus-humans debate, this episode blends serious critique with humor to explore what masculinity really means today.--------- EPISODE CHAPTERS ---------(0:00:01) - The Rise of Performative Masculinity(0:12:46) - Influencers and Masculinity Ideologies(0:17:57) - Exploring the Meaning of Brotherhood(0:30:32) - The Misuse of the Murph Workout(0:39:50) - Debunking Social Media Misinformation(0:48:22) - Gorilla vs. 100 Men DebateSend us a text

In Episode 361 of Devolution Power Hour, Jon Herold and Chris Paul unpack the accelerating collapse of regime narratives through the lens of strategy, exposure, and psychological warfare. They explore how blackmail has become a central tool in maintaining control over compromised officials and institutions, and how information warfare, more than kinetic conflict, is driving the current phase of the Great Awakening. The duo revisits the fallout from Trump's conviction, dissecting whether it's a political misstep or a brilliantly executed trap meant to dismantle public trust in the justice system. From media meltdowns and odd regime behavior to Elon's unpredictable positioning and the ongoing globalist unraveling, Jon and Chris highlight the difference between genuine chaos and calculated exposure. Layering historical patterns with current-day comms, they offer a reminder: the game isn't being lost, it's being revealed. As the trap closes and the people awaken, the question is no longer if, but when, the scales finally tip. Packed with insight, banter, and big-picture perspective, this episode is a roadmap through the fog of war.
In this After Hours edition of the Underground Lounge, things start off smooth but quickly spiral into pure Controlled Chaos. Holly's back to co-Host with Lou Will and Spank as they sit down with Na'im Lynn, Tony Allen, and Paul Pierce for a no-holds-barred conversation that blurs the lines between hilarious, heated, and honest. The crew kicks off with jokes about getting older, embracing “auntie” and “uncle” energy, and why naps hit harder than parties these days. But as drinks pour and the vibe loosens, the group dives headfirst into everything from Druski's whiteface comedy and blurred cultural lines to the nuances of racial language in hip-hop.Then the conversation takes a turn. What starts as a casual debate about celebrity breakups explodes into a full-on discussion about the Diddy and Cassie drama/abuse, accountability, manipulation, and whether toxicity is something people attract or already have inside them. The room splits as everyone offers unfiltered takes on love, control, and the psychology behind staying in a toxic relationship. Guests open up about past experiences, some regretful, some just plain wild. From pulling women out of clubs to defining the exact level of “crazy” they prefer in a partner, the group walks the line between funny and flagrant. It's messy, it's vulnerable, it's reckless—but it's real. They even tackle stories about intruders, lawsuits, and who's allowed to say what depending on where they're from.If you've ever wondered what happens when bold opinions, raw stories, and just the right amount of alcohol come together in one room, this episode is exactly that. Strap in, because this one goes there.
