Newborn babies have some peculiar quirks, habits, and bodily functions. If you're entering parenthood unfamiliar with what's normal and what isn't you might be scared or deeply concerned by things that are pretty routine for new babies. To have this conversation today with me on Yoga| Birth| Babies I have Dr. Tracey Agnese. Tracey received her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware. She graduated from SUNY Downstate medical school and completed her pediatrics residency at NYU. As a Pediatrician and a mom, Dr. Agnese knows how difficult it is to have and care for a newborn baby. She also knows that new moms often neglect taking care of themselves and wants to help change that. Dr. Agnese sees patients in her private practice on the UWS and is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). In this episode, Dr. Agnese goes over many things from oddly colored baby poop, to irregular breathing patterns, to signs that something is really wrong and you should consult your doctor. My hope is that new parents can be put at ease by learning about what is normal to expect from their little one! The sun and Saturn both moved to new signs. Did you stay alert? Did you lean into your practices? What can you revamp, rewrite, rework, or do new in order to empower and grow? Last week did you: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs? Listen to 1 NEW episode on The Magic Spark? Do the Kali tapping? This week has sweetness. It requires quiet and rest in any way you can; toddler bedtimes, naps, meditation, less humaning, do less, refuel more, drink tea, minimize caffeine, pull cards, spend time outdoors, do your tapping or shaking offerings. There is something very new beginning this week. This week: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs Listen to 1️ NEW episode on The Magic Spark Rejuvenate, rest, replenish. But seriously. Monday, May 26th: - Happy Mo(o)nday. The new moon in Gemini happens today. Dark of the moon. Hekate and Kali's lunation. Considered the witchiest time of the lunar cycle, with the highest probability of messaging, ah-ha or light bulb moments making their way through and to you. Honor it by carving space out today for something quiet, soft, cosmic, or woo; meditation, nap, pulling tarot, checking your chart for where Gemini sits, or simply taking a walk outside with no other stimuli. Clarity and messaging will come when we make them welcome. Turn down external input today through Thursday....whatever this lunation is offering us...we want. There are blessings, healings, understanding, and soul truths IF we heed the call of replenishing our vessels...a.k.a. resting. We've had some placements shift and the elemental count is now: ▪ 5 planets in

Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics May 19th - 25th 2025. Last week was a layer cake of deep feels and healing. A reveal, loaded with spiritual topics, it was sensitive and we may have cried. Multiple times. Did you let it out? Did you allow the shower from your eyes to refresh the way you see things moving forward? The reveal under the Scorpio Full Moon was something we clearly need to let go of. If it's a relationship, that's the easier version, but it also could have been our most subconscious shadow of how we think about ourselves. It's time to let the sub-par, diminished, shamed, judged, or imposter narratives GO! Last week did you: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs? Listen to 2️⃣ NEW episode on The Magic Spark ? Have a good cry? This week is big and mixed. Again. Of course. It's 2025. The sun and saturn both shift and that's simply enough to have things feeling different and weird....yet again. Stay alert. Stay or get in practice. It's the only way out. Stay present. Pivot when needed. Witness the feelings but try to get really curious as to their reality. What can you revamp, rewrite, rework, or do new in order to empower and grow? This week: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs
We talk about the Calgary Wild's first ever win last weekend in Halifax. Cavalry FC stumbles in CPL play but dominates in the Canadian Championship. Both pro clubs play a bit earlier than usual so we moved up our release date so we could preview both team's matches. We chat with Cedric Bovon, who has recently taken on two new head coaching positions. He's taken the reins of the Calgary Blizzard's women's League One Alberta team and the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns. It's the end of an era as Foothills WFC will not return to UWS in 2025. We reflect on the legacy of the club and how the high performance soccer landscape has changed in Calgary over the UWS era.In our last segment we've got a pretty big announcement to reveal that we're quite excited about.Subscribe to our Substack or follow us on Twitter/X or on Instagram or Bluesky. Our website is yycsoccer.com
Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics April 28th - May 4th 2025. Last week was a quiet mixed bag. It asked for calm, grounding and spiritual hygiene...while it had free reign to serve up simple pleasures or call outs. Did you prioritize your self care? Last week did you: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs Listen to 1 NEW episode on The Magic Spark Watch the New Moon Tarot Reading in the UWS member Library This week is full of goodies...with heat. This week: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs Listen to 2 NEW episode on The Magic Spark Cast a spell for your career or money by EOD Wednesday Monday, April 28th: - Happy Mo(o)nday. All planets are direct this week till Sunday. Please, my loves, make it count. It won't happen again this year. This is our last 'all direct' moment. Whatever to-do list you have (without freaking out and overly stressing) get as much done as you can. Within this window of the New Moon in Taurus it is massively to the benefit of your resources (time, money, energy, body, mind, and soul) to do so. This week our elemental count shifts. The Fire of it all bumps up to 5, with a whopping 4 in Aries. Tempers could flare or your personal fire could finally blaze and have your heart, energy, and creativity coming back online! Venus is also doing a lot this week, so continue to give her focus on your altar and in your Energy Healings (tapping & shaking). We want her blessing us, not pressing us. - Day 1 of Stable New Moon #2 -You'll need a yoga strap and a set of yoga blocks for this constructive rest series. We're still in constructive rest under this new moon. Mobility and flexibility is the vibe. You'll see a focus on shoulders (new stressors in your life), spinal rotations for detox, psoas openers (emotional storage units of the body), and A juicy constructive rest to close. Tuesday, April 29th: - Watch Zodiac Basics: Taurus if you're craving a deeper dive into Taurus energies. Tis the season. It's the moon, the season, and we all have it in our chart somewhere. You'll find it in the astrology section of your Unicorn Wellness Studio member library. Wednesday, April 30th: -EP 131 on The Magic Spark Uranus is doing something of note this week and the Uranian energy will become more distinct as we move towards August. It's a big energy, it's disruptive, and can be magical. So I'm sharing a piece of content I created for Magical Mentees in the fall session. You're going to want to explore this. And it just might take a couple of listens to prep for the amplification of Uranian energy in August. It's a mini master class. - Last day of New Moon Energy. Continue to lean into the quiet of it all. Rest, replenish, cast a spell because what you plant in a Taurus new moon has got roots to provide for the long haul. It's especially good for career and money magick. - Venus enters Aries. We like her here. We do. She's blunt and quick and ok to burn something down to get to what she really desires. There's no mincing words in this phase. There is clarity and no b.s. It may feel like somehow if you're not used to receiving a fem vibe with clear boundaries and no room for negotiations. Thursday, May 1st: - Uranus Sextile True Node. A sextile in astrology is always considered a benefit. This collective transit offers us lessons that have us breaking up with tradition in any and all ways. Think internalized patriarchy be gone, binaries AWAY! Proper path, boxes, and 'right ways' to do things are banished and simply will no longer work. - Day 1 of Stable Classic - No props needed for this workout. We're brewing magic in our pelvic bowl with sufi rolls, full deep core, corkscrew, reverse plank, side plank...strength and stability training...swan, rolling plank, and puppy. This is a well crafted tiny & mighty series. Friday, May 2nd: - Venus conjunct Neptune. This one is going to call in themes of romantic relationships. Either a rebirth of romanticism, a new love of some kind, or an obsession with the love you don't currently have access to. We simply have to witness how it plays out and work with what roles through...but please remember Venus is not just amorous love, it's finances and general pleasure, and Neptune is dreams and delusions. This could be work or finance related. - Aphrodite's Day. It's time to ask: What does my inner goddess need in order to remember she is sacred, divine, and designed to receive? Take the rest. Eat the chocolate. Put your hand on your heart, breathe deeply, wear red lipstick. Demand attention from yourself. Light yourself on fire today. Saturday, May 3rd: Breathe, meditate, drink water, eat vegetables, get on the mat. Sunday, May 4th: - Pluto stations Retrograde. This little guy was all the topic not so long ago. Pluto finally moved into Aquarius after being in Capricorn 16 years. Pluto will station today and be retrograde through October 13th. This will pull us all in again in terms of cathartic change. Emotionally it might feel like it in its capacity to affect positive change/growth. "What will move me/us into the future? I have no emotional attachment to the solve...but I am deeply attached to solving." - Day 1 of Stable Building Blocks - You'll need a set of yoga blocks (cork preferred) for this workout. We're back to giving attention to shoulder health and stability (new daily stressors), classical pilates mat with a splash of weird. - Your weekly mantra: Venus, Venus, Aphrodite, goddess of love and finances I clear a place for you at the table. In fact I clear the entire table for you. The table is yours. It belongs to you. Eat and serve My appetite is big and I am ready to feed. Venus, Venus, Aphrodite, goddess of love and finances I AM OPEN TO RECEIVE. Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics April 21st -27th 2025. Last week moved us forward. Did you embrace it and go with it? This week is a quiet mixed bag. It asks for calm, grounded space and spiritual hygiene...while it may be serving up simple pleasures or annoying call outs for better foundations. Keep the calendar as clear as you can. Prioritize your self care. Monday, April 21st: - Happy Mo(o)nday. Today Mercury is officially in the all clear! With all planets moving forward. Let's focus on this combo as Saturn conjuncts the North Node in Pisces today. Our dreams and spiritual hygiene are getting a highlight. The North Node in Pisces calls us to healing, spirituality, and our psychic capabilities. Saturn always takes us to task with our adulting; self discipline, timelines, and time limitations. Today's meet up of these two cosmic energies will bring into focus the importance of consistent meditation (self discipline + spirituality) or light up where we're a little too delulu about how to get to our dreams (perhaps needing more doing and less dreaming). No matter how this conjunction rolls through, after all it's a 50/50 wildcard as to how it plays out...prioritize an energetic healing or meditation today. It's as much insurance as we can have with this happening. Anytime Saturn is involved, it's trying to grow us up and teach us to do the boring, uncomfortable things. Adulting pays it forward for our manifestations. Basically, today through May 4th, get the to-do list out. Pray, meditate about it, then go check things off. Tuesday, April 22nd: - Day 1 of Flow Ease #2 - No props needed for this workout. You'll see a standing warrior series with a moon flow. Detoxing rotations, strong planks, glute medius, and hip health round out this magic movement series. Wednesday, April 23rd: -Watch our New moon Tarot Reading. Something new has died in us and something new is being born. Venus has completed her retrograde and one of her seasons is here (Taurus). What's the new seed that got planted in your heart? Watch our new moon tarot reading in your UWS member library. This new moon has us focusing on sacred sensual pleasure. Thursday, April 24th: -
Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics March 24th - 30th, 2025 Last week was quiet AND full of wild cards. The sun shifted into Aries, and had two cazimis. It was a week that brought awareness to our vitality, where we shine, or where we don't. What gems did you glean out of last week? Last week did you: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs? Listen to three NEW episodes on The Magic Spark? Embrace simplicity? This week is big. Very, very big. It's one of the weeks we've been anticipating for this unprecedented astrological year of 2025. This week: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs Listen to two NEW episode on The Magic Spark Watch the New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse Tarot Reading in the UWS member Library. Use the 8 min Chakra Balance Energy Healing in your UWS member Library. Monday, March 24th: - Happy Mo(o)nday. We start big right out of the gate with the Sun conjunct Mercury. It's yet another cazimi! Wild card. Power wash. Reboot. Today it's the messenger of the gods. Trickster, patron of travelers, merchants, and thieves. Quite the combo, our Mr. Mercury. - New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse Tarot Reading. Create space this week to watch your reading in the Unicorn Wellness Studio member library. If you don't watch any of our readings all year, WATCH THE ECLIPSE READINGS! Tuesday, March 25th: - Black Moon Lilith moves into Scorpio. This is a transit worth mentioning in this community because Lilith is one of our main guides and space holders. This is one of three Lilith placements in a chart, so please know they each represent something slightly different. Black moon Lilith is a mathematical point in the sky that represents the farthest shadow cast from our personal moon. It represents our deepest shadow in this lifetime and will absolutely always have something to do with our sexuality, perspectives on sex, particularly if/where it breeds shame or judgement. Short cut here - Lilith wants you to have a healthy relationship to sex and says nothing is off limits if it's consensual and safe. Lilith teaches us judgments all need to be tempered with 'says who?' and 'consider the source' as well as our classic 'is this equitable...and to who?'. Black Moon Lilith spends nine months in each sign. A gestation period. A nod to her as a goddess of blood, sex magic, and womb space healing. She moves through the chart lighting up our shame and shadows to illuminate for reclamation and empowerment. She challenges all things that try to make us feel small or 'under' another. She is the epitome of dismantling internalized patriarchy. She is voice and communication. And she will test us. When this placement moves into Scorpio she pushes us as a collective to go into all the taboo spaces. Wednesday, March 26th: - First Day of New Moon Eclipse Energy. New moons ask us to go dark, just like them. Hermit away. Meditate, rest and restore. It's an incredibly magical time in the cycle and the eclipse ramps it up. Prioritize whatever it is you need in order to continue towards your goals. - EP 122 on The Magic Spark. Is a surprise! As I write this newsletter I'm not sure the best route to take for this episode. It might be an audio offering on The Hermit card (the card of 2025), the audio of the new moon eclipse reading, or a personal note of additional channeled messaging mid-week. - Day 1 of New Moon Ease #1 - You'll need a yoga strap for this workout, but a scarf, belt or towel can work in a pinch. This is the first of our two constructive rest videos under this new moon cycle. It's week 1 of our 4 week training cycle. It's the best time to begin a mat practice with me, or to return. It's all flexibility and mobility. If you've been with me then this is the time when the work we've done prior transitions into results. If you're just starting, you begin soft and ramp up into the practice at its most supported pacing. Thursday, March 27th: - Venus Rx backtracks into Pisces. Venus loves to be here. This is her home domain of exaltation. She's had her spa day with the sun (the cazimi) and she's floating on her back in a dreamy ocean of potential. This could feel like a bit of the love (or dopamine) has come back to your life. This is her second pass at a path she has already tread. It may offer a rebirth of hope and potential. She's still helping us reevaluate what brings us pleasure and joy in all the realms; partnership, glamour, finances....if you feel like you don't know who you are right now or what you like...our lady Aphrodite will take the blame. - Venus Neptune Conjunction. And on the very same day our goddess has a tight passage with Neptune. Her higher octave. Dreams, delusions, and all the sensual pleasures. Again, a wild card. We don't know how it will really shake out for each of us. Could be the sweetest kiss of pleasure and trusting what we like and brings us satisfaction. It could equally be a place where we're faced with the delusions of what we keep saying will please us but there are hidden enjoyments wanting to burst through the surface. This could be a confusing trigger or a bold recognition. Ultimately it is divine feminine healing. Lean in. Stay curious. Tread with soft grace through it. Friday, March 28th: - Aphrodite's Day It's time to ask: What does my inner goddess need in order to remember she is sacred, divine, and designed to receive? Give awareness to something that soothes, delights, or pleases you. This is ritual. This is sacred. Stand at your altar, in a mirror, or outdoors for this. Connection & reflection are the words this week. Saturday, March 29th: - Day 1 of New Moon Ease #2 - You'll need a set of yoga blocks for this workout. More yummy new moon restoration work. We cover a lot of ground in this one from floor to standing. You'll see sufi rolls, a signature shoulder girdle series, classics like pigeon, down dog and a twisted child's pose, moving into standing hip circles with a classic triangle series. It opens all the nooks and crannies for flow. - New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse in Aries. This is a flip of the switch for all things Aries. The Universe says 'We're going to try turning it off and on...again'. This lunation completes the eclipse cycle of July 17th, 2023 - January 11th, 2025. The major changes and big pivots have already happened (we hope) and this lunation says this is truly a fresh start and new beginning of potential in the themes of the house Aries sits in in your chart. If you don't know what house Aries sits in for you...it will absolutely be about your empowered leadership in your own life. How do you lead your own narrative? What new narrative will you launch and move forward with with restored and energized resources? - Mercury Rx backtracks into Pisces. Do we see the game of pacman happening between Aries and Pisces and Venus and Mars this year? Back and forth across the board, multiple times. It's real. There is something about our psychic gifts, spirituality, release, grief, mourning, loss and our benevolent, self centric energy of personal leadership in our individual and collective lives happening. Mercury doesn't so much thrive swimming backwards, but it will once again shift our communication styles to more emotional. More tender. It will once again heighten our intuition and the messages making it through from the unseen. Sunday, March 30th: - Neptune moves into Aries. This is epic news. No dramatization in this sentence. This is big. Remember your Moonday news from last week? When we talked about the Neptune cazimi? Welp, today is one of the days that change everything. Here's a tiny recap; Neptune hasn't been in Aries since the 1860's. This offers us a complete refresh of what we might dream into, removing delusions. This is considered a new era of creativity and innovation that has so much to do with leadership and identity. It offers societal shifts. This of course is happening for the collective world stage as well as in our personal lives. Around here we focus on the personal to make the butterfly effect in the collective. The last time Neptune was here was 1862 - 1875. This was revolution, it's bound to be that again...but with a different story line. - Mercury Neptune Conjunction. Another wildcard. It's like bumper cars in the cosmos these days. Mercury and Neptune squeak past each other today. Offering either a new entrepreneurial partnership between the higher octave of Venus (Neptune) and our trickster chatterbox Mercury. Remember that Venus and Mercury are both tricksters...they love a good plot twist. They love to make people sweat it out to have something beautiful happen. They equally love to stir up chaos that amounts to nothing, for pure amusement. - Your weekly offering: This life is ever spiraling cycles of connection and reflection. Sometimes we connect. Sometimes we need to disconnect. This time we stand in assessment of where we are and what we need. We respond and support what the body tells us - do we need to connect or disconnect. No more should's. No more supposed to's. Less pro-con lists. More navigating by our soul compass. Our 3D lives are reflections of both connection & disconnection. Sometimes thriving. Sometimes flailing. What has it been more of the time than not? Therein lies the answer. Adjust accordingly. On the daily. In honor of your soul. In honor of your intuition. In honor of your magic. In honor of you. because... YOU are the magic. Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics March 17th - 23rd, 2025 Last week was one of the biggest of 2025. Did you fasten your seatbelt? Pack extra snacks? Prepare for the plot twist? Last week did you: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs Listen to two NEW episodes on The Magic Spark? GROUND GROUND GROUND? This week is seemingly quiet AND it's full of wild cards. Yup, another one of those. Basically it's 2025. The sun shifts into Aries, and has two cazimis. It's a week to be aware of our vitality, where we shine, or where we don't. This week: Get on the mat 2 - 4xs Listen to 3️three NEW episode on The Magic Spark Embrace simplicity Monday, March 17th: - Happy Mo(o)nday. Congratulations! We survived the first eclipse of the season. And like everyone's social media posts are saying...no, you're not crazy. It's Mercury Rx, Venus Rx, and we're in between eclipses. Things are shifting. They are changing. And they have not settled, sorted, or fully played out. That's a 6 month process. What we can do is keep things as simple as possible. ▪️Do NOT try to solve too far in advance. ▪️Stay present. ▪️Practice simplicity. ▪️Hydrate ▪️Move your body ▪️Meditate ▪️Eat Root veggies + add a handful of greens to every meal. ▪️Aim for toddler bedtimes. - Day 1 of Reset Flow - You'll need a set of yoga blocks for this workout. Cork blocks are preferred, they offer more stability than a typical foam block. No blocks? You can still do this workout or skip ahead to the next video without a prop. In this workout you'll see a signature shoulder health series to prevent pain and injury, increase mobility, and make your entire upper body more receptive to building strength. We've got modified 100's, our classical series of 5...hello deep core...bridge, rocking, side leg series, swan and double leg kicks for low back strength, rabbit, down dog and a side plank, or star. Tuesday, March 18th: - Eclipse season + Mercury Rx plot twist. I'll be on Instagram through April....in May you'll find me on Substack and Bluesky + our private community group. Wednesday, March 19th: -EP 119 on The Magic Spark. Is our Aries season Forecast! This is our seasonal astro forecast + deep dive into energies. It's also our Spring Equinox and the Astrological New Year. - Sun conjunct Neptune. It's another cazimi! We had two cazimi's last week and we've got two more this week. There's a tiny parade through the Sun's car wash. This aspect is interesting. Neptune takes 14 years to move through a single sign of the zodiac. It's been in Pisces since 2011 and the last time it had a conjunction with the sun was 2021. This conjunction today is happening at the 29th degree of Pisces. Known as the anaretic degree - the last degree of a sign, the degree of fate, of karma, of release. Thursday, March 20th: EP 120 on The Magic Spark. Is our Aries Season Tarot Forecast! Tune into the spirit in which to move through this cycle. - Sun enters Aries. Spring Equinox. HAPPY ASTROLOGICAL NEW YEAR! - Day 1 of Upside down Flow -No props needed for this workout. In this workout you'll see deep hip health for access to core strength. Dead bug makes an appearance (it's so good for you), wheel, side kick series, boat, baby bird, a sneaky glute strength series, headstand prep + rotations and circles for detox and energetic/magic circulation. Friday, March 21st: - Aphrodite's Day It's time to ask: What does my inner goddess need in order to remember she is sacred, divine, and designed to receive? Keep it simple. Whisper a tiny prayer for more balance, stability, pleasure, joy, and peace in your day. Sip rose tea. Slather yourself in a comforting scent or lotion. Use your Aphrodite tapping or shaking in the Healing Frequencies portion of the UWS library. Whatever calls, just make sure to nod to Aphrodite today. Say thank you for her magic, her narrative, her guidance, protection, and badassery in the world. Saturday, March 22nd: - Breathe. Drink water. Get on the mat and do the 5-Minute Frequency Reset. Sunday, March 23rd: - Day 1 of Rainbow Flow - You'll need a set of blocks for this workout. Cork blocks preferred. You'll see sufi rolls for physical and metaphysical circulation amplification, a juicy bridge series for glute, hamstring, and low back strength, sidekick series for hip strength, boomerang, table tops into reverse plank, shoulder series, fish, and a big ole rainbow pike. This is a strong workout, but as always; listen to the cues, do what you can and leave the rest. Every video is a mixed level workout. If you stay open and just try to make the body connections from the cues I offer, you will absolutely surprise yourself as to what you are capable of. - Sun conjunct Venus. Our second cazimi this week! It's another special moment because it's happening in the Venus retrograde and the last time Venus was conjunct the sun was 2012. So it's been a minute since our lady Aphrodite got a power wash, reset, revitalization glow up from the sun. Yes, when two celestial bodies share the same spot in the cosmo's, it's a wild card. Could be a big ole blessing, could be a sizable challenge. And...I do prescribe to the narrative that a cazimi (conjunction with the sun) is always a restart, refresh, reboot...and personally I always think this is great. It's like turning the energy (Venus) off and on again. It somehow just always works better after. -
Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics March 3rd - 9th Last week got busier in quiet and weird ways. Multiple wildcards were played. Were you able to take care of your vessel, because your body is the original technology for energy and divine messaging. The more cared for your vessel is, the more you'll be able to feel your way through this entire year. Because thinking through it is not the thing in 2025. There's a lot of confusion, chaos, and delusion this year. Your vessel is a valid and profound resource when it's tended to with respect. Build that relationship now, or continue the process. We're going to know more by how our vessel feels vs. what we think. This week it's another eerily quiet week in the skies. We only have one transit but we're in the soup of it all because of last week. Focus on keeping things manageable and grounded. Meditate. Get on the mat. Tend to your vessel. Support it. Care for it. Replenish it. It's the home of your soul. Monday, March 3rd: -
Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics February 24th - March 2nd Last week added more water to the ocean of emotion we were already swimming in. Pisces season began, and we cheered for Mars stationing direct! Did you...just keep swimming? This week gets busier in quiet and weird ways. Multiple wildcards await. Take care of your vessel, because your body is the original technology. It's the home of your magic. It is temple. Monday, February 24th: - Happy Mo(o)nday! Welcome to the very first day of our new moon cycle. It's time to replenish and draw in. It's always a time of rest and divine messaging. This week massively amplifies that vibe with a new moon in Pisces....but let's be clear, it's not just a new moon in Pisces...we've got a party in Pisces; Neptune, Saturn, Mercury, the Sun, and the North Node and on Thursday....Mama Moon. ▪️Hydrate ▪️Rest ▪️Flush your lymphatic system; foam roll, jumping on the trampoline, cardio, and dry brushing ▪️Ingest fresh ginger - Day 1 of New Moon Flow #1 - You'll need a set of yoga blocks (cork preferred) and a yoga strap. This movement series begins our constructive rest cycle. This is the week to begin a mat practice or to return to your practice. This week welcomes a full 6 days of mobility and flexibility. It's the time we take our vessel to a quieter space to synthesize the work we've done prior and allow results to happen. No rest, no results. This is science fitness fact. Welcome to results by doing less. Yup, you heard me. Lower cortisol, cultivate hormone balance....these are the things that bolster, nourish, and support results. Tiny and mighty, long game work. You'll see a variation of our closed book series for thoracic, neck, and torso mobility, a lovely focus on hamstrings, low back, rotation in general for digestion and detox, with puppy pose, and rabbit to harmonize the endocrine system. Today's episode walks you through this week's astrology + practical and magical tactics to help you harness and navigate the energetics February 17th - 23rd. Last week was subtle in the skies but had a lot to offer in the 3D, with one big full moon. Healing was at hand. Did you feel it? How did it express in your life? This week adds more water to the ocean of emotion we're already swimming in. Say Hey to Pisces season, then cheer for Mars stationing direct! Above all...just keep swimming. Monday, February 17th: - Happy Mo(o)nday! Full disclosure, our full moon last week did not play out in my own world at all the way I anticipated. Rather than showing up live for the community and traveling, and living my best Leo life, I had no voice and hunkered down in bed for multiple days in a row. That's not to say it wasn't sweet, but it was definitely more Hermit vibes rather than the Leo fire, this Leo rising looks forward to. I'm dying to know how yours played out. Amplified emotions? Time to shine? Opportunities to heal? Where did your true internal heart centric path take you....mine took me to rest. I get it. This week has two major transits...one's great, while the other kinda complicates things. So stay focused. Stay mellow. Keep your roster and calendar as light as possible with lots of flexibility and time to rest & replenish. Make the time to tie up your map and vision of 2025. Sit and think about what would make you really proud, if you accomplished it by 2026. Get into your feelings...not your analytical thoughts. And for goddess sake, don't try to save the world, alone. Focus on making your personal world better (self, home, family), and then close community…if you've got remaining bandwidth. I'm not saying to check out…I'm saying to check IN with what's reasonable and possible. Continue doing whatever you need to do to find stability in your day. Lock in on your practices, they provide: ▪️Mat ▪️Meditation or Energetic Healing ▪️Connect with community & friends. ▪️Hydrate ▪️Prioritize rest

Back in early Spring 2024 -- we net Bronx Public Defender Eli Northrup as he was beginning his run for NY State Assembly representative for the UWS. We were recording outside the Goddard Riverside Community Center at West 88th St and Columbus Avenue, talking to neighbors celebrating “Love Your Street Tree Day” – and Eli came up to our open mic.Eli placed second in the election for State Assembly. We invited Eli to talk about his experience of running for state office and his work as the “Policy Director for the Criminal Defense Practice at the Bronx Defenders” office. We began the conversation asking Eli about his NYU law school hip hop band “Pants Velour” and their quick hit “Charlie Sheen: Always Winning.” Eli shared his deep disappointment with losing the election and how his work as the policy director at the Bronx Public Defenders formed his political platform. At the midpoint of the conversation we talked about American citizens' looking for openness and honesty in a political scene rife with dishonesty. Hosted on Acast. Today we are talking about creating balance in your relaxed state (Yin) and active state (Yang), with my guest Olivia Shurdova. Join us!This is a really insightful discussion about energy, how easy it is to over-extend yourself and how to find the balance:Today we are learning that whilst your Yin energies are cooling, passive, contemplative and dark, Yang is active and about light and warming the bodyWe see this balance in everything around us in natureYin and Yang can both deplete us AND fill us up!When depleting us, 'False' Yin would make you feel stuck, heavy, fearful and insecure whilst 'False' Yang can lead to aggressiveness or narcissismOlivia says:"Part of Yin and Yang is to go with your challenges: yin is about being adaptable and yang is about being creative. You need both together to support you and fuel the demands you place on yourself." For this BCR conversation at the West Side Community Garden we investigated the stories of two ladies--one affected by chance--the other by choice. The first story is about a chance phone call that led to instant and fleeting fame – and the other -- a choice to help recently arrived neighbors which will lead to – what?Rebecca McKean and I were set-up in the southeast corner of the West Side Community Garden. As our UWS neighbors sought their favorite spots to listen to the Cassatt String Quartet, we talked with Marilyn O'Day – a high school junior who started a study hangout at the Newton Hotel for recent migrants from South America as part of the Open Hearts Initiative -- and -- Meg Parsont, a publicist for publishers, gardener, and contributor to the West Side Rag newspaper. Meg was once famous – appearing over 30 times in the early 1990s on Late Night with David Letterman.Later in this program, we spoke with cellist Gwen Krosnick of the Cassatt String Quartet about the evenings musical offerings.Alan Winsonbarcrawlradio@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. The majestic trees in front of Goddard Riverside on the Upper West Side of Manhattan were blushing brightly as the community gathered to learn about and spruce up the beds of our leafy neighbors for the seventh annual “Love Your Street Tree Day” – May 7th 2024. Rebecca and I learned a lot about our urban forest and how to take care of our barked friends – not our barking friends. Which reminds me -- "Don't piss on our street tree" signs were passed out to our UWS neighbors -- along with buckets of mulch -- and donuts – and coffee. The event was sponsored by the West 80s Neighborhood Association – and we talked with two of its leaders. But before we talked with Melissa Elstein and Kim Johnson, we had some fun with a few UWS tree huggers.CONTACT: barcrawlradio@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Hal Linden Live on Game Changers with Vicki Abelson Does it get better than this? Someone's gonna have to prove it to me. Wow, what a time with Hal Linden! As nice, charming, handsome, and tall (well, I'm guessing on the last), as his Barney Miller, Hal was all that and a hefty bag of Cheetos. Absolutely age-defying - I want to see his birth certificate. It's unfathomable that he's 93. Still dashing, his voice strong, mind sharp, wit crackling, and his talent will be on display next weekend in Flat Rock, co-starring with Marilu Henner in Ed Weinberger's, The Journals of Adam and Eve. I wanna go! Road trip? Hal took us through his early days, one of six cousins, all professional musicians, he a clarinetist first, classically trained, in the musicians union at 15, then the sax called, a hysterical story there, the army, and then the theatre… to hear Hal tell it, it all makes sense. From summer stock to Broadway as an understudy in Bells Are Ringing with Judy Holliday. I won't dare ruin that story. It was 8 years of understudying, and standing in, which led to his Tony-winning starring role in The Rothschilds. Please do yourself a favor and watch Hal sing “Sons,” as seen on the Ed Sullivan Show, his clear ticket to Tony. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnztP3vCRko Breathtaking. And then we got to the meat. Barney Miller. How he got it, what he gave up. The gamble he took. The payoff. We talked the original cast in the first failed pilot and the magical one that replaced it. We talked characters, chemistry, and process. How much Hal was in Barney, how much Barney in Hal. And, the part he turned down afterward, without even looking. We had two degrees of Kevin Bacon without the Kevin and without the Bacon, all over the place… from our Bronx beginnings to raising our kids on the UWS of Manhattan and then LA, to Marilu and Ed, but most of all, the Catskills and the crooner. Hal started out in the Borscht Belt with his band at the Paramount Hotel. My father started out at the same hotel as an MC. Years later, after Hal's Broadway and TV fame, my dad lived a dream, introducing Hal, one of his heroes, and opening for him at the Yiddish Theatre in New York. It was one of the highlights and great joys of his career. They were both handsome as heck, charming as can be, and smooth as silk singers. Hal still is. My dad is up there smiling this eve. Larry Katz, this one's for you. Thank you, Hal. This will go down as one of the highlights and great joys of my career, and I'll forever be grateful. But why on a bad hair day?!? May 1961 -- Peter Benenson, founder of Amnesty International, wrote that he was sickened by governments imprisoning citizens for speaking or singing in protest. The work of Amnesty International continues around the world and on the Upper West Side with members of Group 11. Since the early 1970s members of Group 11 have helped to free prisoners of conscience in Iran, Chile, China, Indonesia, Libya, Myanmar, Poland, Rhodesia, South Africa, Vietnam and the former USSR. And, currently, AI-USA's Group 11 is working to free Narges Mohammadi -- the 2023 Nobel Prize winner who has fought for women's rights in Iran and is now in an Iranian prison. We attended Group 11's 48th Annual Benefit Concert in December, 2023 and then joined Group 11 coordinators Harry Schwartz and Sue Dicker and musicians and composers Marcia Eckert and Debra Kaye at Mr. Schwatz's UWS apartment, to talk about their work to free Prisoners of Conscience and the concert. Welcome to Aquarius season and all it has to offer us January 20th - February 17th 2024. Aquarius season always welcomes futuristic, humanitarian, way-out-there, non-binary, no boundaries, no-right-way-to-do things, rebellious brilliance - as we say goodbye to the diligent, goal oriented, focused, determined, reliable, strong willed and independent spirit of Capricorn season. This transition has us taking the map we started (or perhaps completed) for our goals in Cap season and asks us to make space on that map for the weird, genius, and unexpected ways to get there..that we never anticipated. This season always empowers us to fly our freak flag. To step into more authenticity. To be brave aka vulnerable in our uniqueness ... .to truly step away from any haters, or those who are simply on another journey in this lifetime and do not resonate with what you are here to do. In this Aquarius season: Jan 20th - Sun moves into Aquarius Jan 20th - Pluto enters Aquarius Jan 23rd - Venus enters Capricorn Jan 25th - Full moon in Leo Jan 27th - Uranus Direct Feb 9 - New moon in Aquarius Feb 13 - Mars move into Aquarius Feb 16 - Venus -> Aquarius This cycle - Aquarius season - As a whole, it's a fairly sweet cycle. Things are moving forward. Literally…all the planets are direct. We're moving out of the confusion of a very sticky Mercury Retrograde and well…there's nothing detrimental to the collective transits they be minding their business…now personal charts, or the way these sweet things hit your natal chart…could be another story…but let's not focus too intensely on that. Let's take the collective win. The big news in this cycle is Pluto entering Aquarius and Uranus stationing direct. This begins a majorly fresh cycle- pluto takes 11.5 - 30 years to move through a sign. As pluto makes its transit through Aquarius it will have a massive impact on the collective in our systems of power, technologies, science, and data. This energy aims at a we over me perspective and wants things the weird, nonbinary, way-out there way. It also means we have just completed a massive transformation in Capricorn (Pluto is/was there 2008 - 2023...plus a couple of weeks of 2024). Remember, Pluto's mantra is change or die....it pushes at catharsis and does it through underworld journey's (shadow work). We basically just sat through a potential karmic caching of our personal house of Capricorn...if we've been in shadow process - it's happening. What did you transform - in the last 20 years - around the theme of how you get to our goals...how much neutrality.balance/harmony have you cultivated around the amount of rest and self care we actually do as we focus on our goals? It pushed us to use new (softer) more trusting and surrendering tactics to get to our goals. What we learned in that transit not gets to be played out in Aquarius in the coming 20 years. What is possible is so much more than we knew. In very weird ways that actually serve the collective rather than drain it….and of course…the house aquarius sits in in your personal natal chart is coming up for transformation. This is a massively let go or be dragged energy. How good are you at letting go? How good are you at getting curious and allowing fresh ideas in? How high is your vibe? Do you believe and trust in the unseen or are you chained to the mundane mistake of earth school? Uranus stationing direct is also big, in my opinion. It's been retrograde in Taurus for about 5 months. It stays in a sign approximately 7 years. It's a long transit. And as Uranus is the spellbreaker and the disrupter of the chart (heeeeyyyy magick wand) I think for our community it's massively important. It has the ability to bust the glass ceiling, and disrupt the normative. It, of course, my choose super uncomfortable routes (and probably will) in order to do so…cause hashtag earth school learning gauntlet. But in Taurus it aims for embodiment….integrity in human form. And it will always hit our pocketbooks when in Taurus. Money talks. Afterall. So if you were released from a job, if you actively transitioned work, had a windfall, or a dry spell of income…..we can look to Uranus in Taurus and the lessons it wants us to learn about integrity around our work and resources. WALK YOUR TALK. The message I'm channeling is that progress that was stalled now makes progress once again..and if you haven't learned the lesson to move into greater integrity with how you gather your resources…well…it's not going to be comfy until you do. Fun fact. Uranus rules Aquarius. Therefore this season is also ruled by Uranus. And my oh my how this delights my soul. Change is at hand. It's electrical current. It governs major breakthroughs and breakdowns….cause the breakdown is for the breakthrough…speaks to limitlessness and being an outsider. The lie of feeling like an outsider is we typically then make a weird leap to thinking that feeling is a fact and that being an outsider makes us wrong…when really being different, calling out racism, dismantling oppression, saying no more to inequitable systems, owning the fact that gender is made up, the binary is a lie, country and national boundaries are also fucking made up, all humans are valid and can we please just be kind and take care of all souls IS THE REAL SPIRITUAL HEALING WORK IN OUR LIFETIME. Uranus in taurus in Aquarius season as Pluto moves into aquarius says things will probably get messier in the collective (side note that doesn't mean it has to get messier in your personal life) in order for us to make constructive, disruptive change for the all. Not just for some. The basic channeled information in this cycle is to still keep it as low and slow as possible. Support your rest…keep the question HAVE I RESTED ENOUGH TO DO WHAT I NEED TO at the forefront of all things. As well as how can I be radically authentic? What old antiquated models of doing or thinking am I personally willing to let go of in order to make space for a never-before-considered idea to actually work? Remember the shifts in energy are not automatic. Not an on and off switch…but more like a dimmer switch of 5 - 14 days until it reaches its direct full speed. All of these energies are going to be moving and blending into our lives. And it'll take some time for them to play out and see how we need to work with them. If you're interested in more support, in this narrative, it moves through my new and full moon tarot readings, only available to members of Unicorn Wellness Studio dot com. This cycle - Aquarius season - still has us leaning into our intuition. our soul compass…to make decisions on what we know in our cellular memory is right for us…right now AND asks us…are we calibrated to our soul compass? What can we do to strengthen that connection, how can we truly trust and surrender to the practice listening and taking action on it? Aquarius is the Unicorn. It's wild and magical, Alien, does not care who thinks what and simply shines and solves. It's bright. It misses social cues…to its benefit…it's lost in its own thoughts, creations, and theories and is researching and working through them. They are contributing to expansion rather than prescribing to herd mentality. More of this please. The astrology will also unravel and reveal itself more in my weekly mo(o)nday newsletter (if you don't receive it already hop on the list at the link in the show notes). The channeled messaging always has mysteries it holds till the moment is right. The Universe loves a surprise reveal. AND ….. It's still shadow season. We're still walking the catacombs This is still the season of old emotions. And Aquarius is the sign of new, never before seen, futuristic, forward thinking does not care about feelings, it cares about solving. So, let's not get in our own way and allow for solutions…especially if they are triggering our ego…We don't need to be right to enjoy a solution…in fact, the need to be right is often whats blocking us from a solution. Let's round up some Aquarius season basics - the eleventh sign of the zodiac chart - always has us blasting off into the cosmic stratosphere, seeking solutions that have never been imagined before in futuristic ways that truly solve for the greater good. It's expansive. It says there are no genders, there is no normal, nothing is impossible, it says lean into science, keep at the experiments and the research, believe in UFOs, micro dose some shrooms, make cbd part of your life, and channel your starseed origins. It says run your freak flag up the flagpole and get weirder than ever for *gasp* contentment, radical self acceptance. Aquarius - is the water bearer - or what I call the alien of the zodiac - it offers us creative solutions for the highest and greatest good of all involved. We welcome the winds of change, inventive ideas, and humanitarian spirit after the daily personal grind of Capricorn. It says we have the capacity to solve if we can simply release our overly emotional attachment to what has been. Nostalgia is a real no-no in this season ←watch for the triggers in your own life where you ‘wish things were like they were insert-past- here'. its is bold in walking into the unknown with hope & potential and a rebel spirit. Aquarius says let go of the old. Work with the now. Welcome the new. We were not born into this incarnation to maintain the status quo. This is a time of exploration. In every way, body, mind, soul, energy, identity…what are you willing to discover that's new about yourself? What are you willing to let go of about yourself? In balance Aquarius energy is everything we've talked about up to this point. It's incredibly intelligent. Massive book and brain smarts. Capable of thinking every angle of a challenge and to also think waaaaay outside of it. It's science and tech based. ‘Cause every bit of science and technology were first only imaginative ideas…they were first unseen magick. It's quick, clever, and original . And it's unexpectedly delicate. And, like Uranus, its ruler, it can be unpredictable. In imbalance, it's unstable air that knows no boundaries and kicks up into a hurricane. It's so high frequency (it'll feel like electrical magic) that it can brew anxiety in the body like you've not known prior. It needs major grounding, it needs stimulation to filter and channel (think stimming in all its ways) If there was ever a time to take up cardio and meditation, it's now. In imbalance it can be a little too optimistic in its humanitarian and activist ideas. It may not always see the practical path. Or it'll throw the idea out there and never put any effort towards bringing it to fruition. It can be so lost in cerebral rumination that it totally ghosts people. It can be hard to connect to emotionally because Aquarian energy can think…because I think it someone knows…meanwhile they never show up to the birthday party or send a thank you or a text…they can function in major radio silence. It can be temperamental and majorly overthink things. In Aquarius season: Cling to your mat - it's all about grounding, sifting and sorting and moving this energy THROUGH. If it gets stuck it's super uncomfortable. PRIORITIZE restoration, rest and sleep Meditate Lighten up on the caffeine. All this air and electrical current is going to make anxiety a big thing this season. Get in mother nature in whatever ways are accessible to you Get radically committed to your hydration - hydration means better channeling and less anxiety as messages filter through. If you are a healer in this season, if you are not doing this…it's going to get massively uncomfortable in the vessel. We don't have time for that. We have work to do. Joy to experience. Pleasure to tend to. Eat your root veggies Lay on the floor and ground. Work your legs up the wall before bed Wear some kind of head and or neck covering - especially if you know you are sensitive to air energies. It helps keep the energy grounded and minimize the anxiety. Use your glycerin sprays copiusly. Keep the static and EMFS OFF. Use scents, incense, eo's, and sprays with earthy grounding scents: sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, or frankincense Slather your body in olive or sesame oil to keep the vibes from zapping or haywire you. We all have Aquarius in our charts somewhere. we're all working with this energy in this season, in similar yet different ways. For those who are Aquarius natives - sun rising or moon in your natal chart - welcome home, embrace that you have been returned to your full resources. For those who are super sensitive to air energy - prescribe to the list above. If you are prone to anxiety…get on the mat…wear a hat…use the essential oils…swap your lotion for oils. Air in the tarot is represented by swords - our intellect, acumen, thought process, words, and around here our subconscious processing. What we think, read, listen to, who we talk to….all contribute to our whole. It teaches us that by shifting what we consume, the words we speak…we can shift our consciousness, invoke healing and progress. This season invites us into books, podcasts, documentaries, courses that present NEW ways of thinking about well, everything. Aquarius rules our ankles, calves, shins, and circulatory system. This has everything to do with connecting us to this incarnation. To be connected to and in this world. These are delicate parts of our system and vessel that don't often receive focus, in other fitness/movement formats). In this cycle be aware of the achilles tendon…it governs this as well…what's tripping you up and how can you get weirder, more authentic, and futuristic about a solution in order to move through it. In this cycle members of UWS will get connected to the ground in powerful and solid ways with my table top series, mountain pose, hundreds, series of five, and our moon flow. In many spiritual systems it is believed that our soul connection is at/in our feet. Members will work with monkey feet, toe scrunches, and relevés as well as hip work to get the circulation of release and healing between our deep emotional storage (our hips) to our soul connection (our feet) to move forward into our new future, one step at a time. Energetically we always tend to all seven traditional chakras plus you'll see extra focus on the root, sacral, and earth star chakras. Blessed Winter Solstice and a focused welcome to Capricorn season everywhere! Today we've got our deep dive into Capricorn energy along with my channeled offerings. Let's see what this season wants us to hear. This episode is an energetic overview with guidance for the next 4 months; December 21st 2023 - March 18th 2024. You may want to revisit each month in this season. Listening multiple times is so empowering as you discover how these channeled messages actually play out in your life. It helps our energies sync and aids in your ability to synthesize and utilize these readings as coaching or mentoring, rather than just adding more noise in your life. The Sun shifts into Capricorn December 21st 2023 - January 19th 2024- it is the beginning of a new zodiacal season as well as our next meteorological season - all hail the winter solstice here in the northern hemisphere - summer in the southern hemisphere. Capricorn season always welcomes the diligent, goal oriented, focused, determined, reliable, strong willed and independent spirit as we say goodbye to the new ideas, enthusiasm, and take aimed-ness of Sagittarius season. This transition has us taking the ideas we got in Sag season and supports us to begin to chart the map up the mountain to the goal(s) we aimed our arrows at in the last cycle. We won't climb the entire mountain in this season. We won't get to the top in this cycle of days, but we do begin. And often, starting is the hardest part. In this Capricorn season: Uranus is still Rx Dec 21st - the sun enters Capricorn and we have our Winter/Summer Solstice Dec 23 - Mercury retrograde backtracks into Sagittarius Dec 26 - Full Moon in Cancer Dec 29 - Venus moves into Sagittarius Dec 30 - Jupiter stations direct! Jan 1 - Mercury stations direct - we enter 2 weeks of shadow Jan 4 - Mars enters Capricorn Jan 11 - New Moon in Capricorn Jan 13 - Mercury enters Capricorn Jan 15 - Mercury is free and clear of its shadow! This cycle - Capricorn season - and for this community's purpose also an umbrella for winter- as a whole - will toy with communication. Both internal and external. There are notes from the eclipse season hidden like easter eggs in this cycle. We think we know…but we don't. There's a twist…we're going to need to stay tuned to the details and to be looking for the hidden messages. Be clear - this doesn't mean anyone is lying…it's just…there's MORE…Jupiter going direct is the big news of the cycle…my channeled insight is that while it was retrograde…our luck may seemed to have been going backwards…and when it stations direct…much like a mercury direct…the luck will start to move in the ‘benevolent' direction…or at the very least stabilize. Jupiter has been Rx since September 3rd…and will station Direct on December 30th. Remember the shifts in energy are not automatic. Not an on and off switch…but more like a dimmer switch of 5 - 14 days until it reaches its direct full speed. This cycle - Capricorn season and winter - asks us to lean into our intuition. Our soul compass. Our deepest knowing…and NOT the pro/con lists or over cerebralizing what is ‘right or best'. Dear listeners of the magic spark, we're getting taken to task on our magick and our connection to the unseen and knowing without knowing why. Basically the message is ya'll aren't basic, you're too magical to pretend the pro/con list is what makes a ‘good, right, better, or best' decision. And the Universe is gonna f with us on this. There will be many moments in this cycle that we may need to ask ‘do you know what you know?' and the gist is soul knowing. Intuition. Magic messaging…not fact, or receipts but the knowing of the unseen, spirit, soul….knowing. Mercury retrograde trickster is here. Aphrodite fuck around and find out is here. It offers blessings, benevolence, and gifts…as well as trickery and trip ups. Be clear we never dismiss intellect or facts around here. But all the messages of this cycle is that there is hidden magic and healing in things that may not be the factual process. This is the channeled offering in this cycle. Our communication will be taken to task. Our trust in our messaging will be utilized…and by that I mean…tested LOL.. And it isn't just about the magic messaging of signs, symbols, and omens this season. It's about all of it. Watch your words. Every word we speak is a spell. Use your Lilitian Language - Set fair, clear, and equitable boundaries with your words - if you know you know - what you allow….the universe will also allow….you feel me? Be clear about what you want and desire. WANT and DESIRE are a big deal for 2024. Enough of taking scraps…and yes…when we say ‘ whatever the universe wants for me or sends my way' is scraps. It's a cop out. It takes away the responsibility of aiming at something. YES, saying you want something is a risk. You may not get it. That's real. But - when you do - you're being honest with yourself and the Universe. Truth is always better than hiding. And the Universe responds and resonates with truth. If you can finally get honest about what you want and desire……and start navigating in soul honesty…and communicate in that truth…well..that's quite a miracle right there. That's some miracle frequency magic right there. Quit pretending you don't have wishes, wants and desires. You may be very disconnected from there - and therein lies the work - to remember - to reconnect - to reimagine desire and want…but be clear….they are there. Somewhere. The puritanical patriarchy and organized religion may have shamed them beneath the surface of connection….but they are still there. Time to resurrect. Time to rebirth. Time to bring back the ways of the goddess. Being human is the gauntlet and the only thing that makes this 3D meat suit experience worthwhile is our pleasure. And in order to experience pleasure you're going to need to be deeply connected to desire. If you prescribe to goddess nature, goddess culture, the goddess religion, the goddesses…..be clear the directive is to know and understand your desire and be willing to receive it. The astrology will always unravel and reveal itself more in my weekly moonday newsletter (if you don't receive it already hop on the list at the link in the show notes). The channeled messaging here has mysteries to reveal as we go as well. This season takes us from 2023 to 2024….and if you've been with me since 2020…it's important for us to remember that we had a massive cleanse in 2020 (hello, pandemic) and that the messaging has always been things won't be anywhere near ‘normal' until 2024…and that we needed to get to 2024 not for ‘normal' but for exaltation, abundance, new, and rebirth. 2023 offered the gateway to more abundance than we've ever seen and known, and some of us were up for receiving in 2023 but that the real deal manifestations and healings were not slated until 2024…..ya'lll….it's almost here. Every single bit of healing and work we've done matter and they have all been moving us towards and into 2024. Stakes get higher, the risks and the rewards get bigger. The question that is coming through is - Have you grown enough to play bigger? In some ways manifestation is easy…but can you maintain and sustain the frequency to hold? This community received the messaging that we needed a little more healing in order to hold the blessings and healings we have been seaking. This past Sag season directed us to go much slower than we wanted to, this season said explore, but implement later…Capricorn season is the first step into later. We get clearer as to what mountain top we are aiming to climb to and we can begin making the plan, and even begin some of the initial steps up said mountain. AND ….. It's still shadow season. We're still walking the catacombs Winter asks us to walk deeper down. . There is still healing here. There are still unknowns. This is still the season of old emotions..that offers us new healing for said emotions…and how do you heal it? By feeling it. Thus enters some trickster energy…we must feel to heal…but all feels are not facts. so , we need to feel, we also need to be willing to know even tho we may need to emotionally play things out, it's not always a fact of what we need to feel through. Very Alice through the looking glass vibes. There's a very strange liminal Capricorn is ruled by Saturn …therefore this season is also ruled by Saturn. And oh my, Saturn gets a bad rap…but let's talk about it. Saturn is considered the father and disciplinarian of the planets. Yes - we're talking gender and binary now…but let's do it and understand that all parents, people, and caregivers are more than one narrative - we are all the full spectrum - but let's go with an old school binary for the themes and exaggerated energy in order to clearly understand. Saturn is father time. He is meant to teach us the benefit of discipline, self discipline, a good ole time out, or grounding. Why? Because his thematic goal is to make sure we have actually learned from our mistakes. Not to embody or live by shame or deprivation…but to understand the value of time, effort, and energy, and the value of getting to our goals while not repeating our mistakes. Saturn wants the best for us, but he absolutely knows that sometimes the best thing is uncomfortable. Rarely do humans learn from comfort. Discomfort is what propels us into different, new, and better. If things are comfortable…there is no reason to change. Saturn's role is triggering, disruption, and discomfort…in order to initiate growth, wisdom, and constructive change. Be clear, Saturn's eye is on the long game…not short term, feel good gratification. So, if self discipline, or doing the things that serve the long game, adulting, or if feeling ‘good' is our barometer for life…we're going to get called out, be put on pause, and sent to a time-out until we learn our lesson of quality over quantity. We will be on a loop, destined to repeat the same problems until we disrupt them with a new, more self disciplined, solution. Saturn does not do quick fixes. And will seriously wait us out…no matter how long it takes…for us to learn our lessons. And Saturn rules Capricorn. Capricorn - the mountain goat of the chart - which old school is actually part goat and part sea creature ... .is known as the goal getter of the chart. Want to achieve? Want to manifest? Want to hit new heights in your career or finances? You're going to need to be besties with Capricorn. But be clear - there are aspects less known about Capricorn that are deeply spiritual and magical….because how do you think they can get so clear and know the path up the mountain? When Capricorn fully delves into their spirituality, their intuition, their brand of magic….there is no stopping them from getting to the goal. They know what is for them, and the way to it, with practicality, because of their depth of understanding themselves, trusting their messaging, and trusting the unseen. Capricorn energy just doesn't wave their woo-woo flag (typically) for the public. In this area, they don't need public recognition. They keep it deep, real, and often to themselves and their nearest and dearest. They're not here to teach the magic, they're here to embody it and take action with it. Capricorn is represented by The Devil card in the Tarot which we'll dive deeper into in EP 53 in our Cap season tarot forecast …so much shade in this combo…of demonizing discipline and goal….and yet I think with all our conversation about Saturn, and Capricorn in general, most humans think self discipline, adulting, and the work that is required to get to our goals is the devil…lol…soooo there's that. We'll talk about it in Ep 53, so come back to listen, if you're interested. The Devil always offers us that the things that keep us chained and distanced form the sweetness of life…are our bad habits. Super simple. This cycle invites us to connect to the depth of our spirituality in our functional day-to-day practice - meditate. Light the candles. Burn the incense. Make the offerings. Talk to your benevolent ancestors. Invoke the goddesses. Get clear about what you want. Begin to create a map towards your desires. And hunker down into the self discipline required to get to it. This cycle asks us to Communicate with the seen and unseen better and perhaps differently than ever before. Let's recap and round up Capricorn season basics - the eighth sign of the zodiac chart. This season offers intense focus on goal getting, achieving, doing, and taking the emotions out of the process in order to get to the point. Capricorn offers us clarity, intent, stamina, and a way up…. any mountain. Capricorn offers us the time to create the map & the plan to any goal we can imagine. In balance Capricorn energy is constructively ambitious, persistent, practical, and disciplined. In imbalance Capricorn is a relentless workaholic who can get real touchy if the lens is swiveled onto them rather than the task. The energy can be dry and (tiny bit of shade) uptight, emotionally distant and cold. In other words sometimes with Cappy if you try to talk personal, they shut down. Hang in there, Cappy is an earth sign, so at its roots are warm, rich soil, providing grounding, stable foundations, and abundant growth for the long term…and yet…often what we experience of Cap is the cold gray stone of the mountain. Yes, Capricorn will achieve things that seem literally impossible and improbable...through sheer grit and focus...but might die on the side of that mountain on the way up because they forgot to hydrate, rest, play, or take a look at the view. Capricorn's lesson in this lifetime is self care. It's all about balance. Capricorn energy must learn to give equal focus to personal emotions, needs, 3D pleasure and joy...along with the tasks that get to the goal. It's imperative Capricorn energy learns to pack a lunch, stop to enjoy the view, dance between levels, and simply rest along the way. Capricorn energy is fierce - can do energy. And when it leans deeply into its magic…it's half goat half sea serpent - it's super mythological, a creature of both worlds, highly misunderstood. In this forms, it straddles two worlds, the magic unseen, capable of imaginable feats, and this 3D experience of blood, sweat, tears, touch, taste, and sound…So if we are to fully express the balance of Capricorn - we must balance our practical with our magical habits and tactics to get to the goal - having a beautiful time along the way. This year, this cycle, this winter…is majorly calling us to reclaim not only the balance but the mythological nature of capricorn. The improbable mythology of achieving and getting what we want. Now, more than ever. This season, with its structure and road to manifestation, we will also require softening so our divine souls get to the top - along with our 3D vessel. This is echoing major notes of go slower….to get to the goal…so it lasts longer. No more quick shit. In Capricorn season: Schedule time to play. PRIORITIZE restoration, rest and sleep Meditate Get in water (swim, bathe, shower) and hydrate If you're already on the mat with me, stay on it. It serves us SO WELL in a go getter season of yin balance. . Get organized. JOURNAL This season will start to clarify what the goal actually is. Look at what has always worked in your life - keep it - look at what has never worked - ditch it - and look at what education, tools, tactics or support you've never had that could move things forward for you - PLAN FOR IT. Schedule active time out of each day to ask yourself how you feel….and what you need to nourish your inner mythological creature (what does my inner UNicorn need today? Greens, a smoothie, a walk outside, fun music, to doodle, a bath? LEAN INTO IT it will support getting to the goal). Recruit, hire, learn, and schedule new supports do that your path of the mountain is more support and better balanced than ever before. If you can do the above....you can see EPIC manifestations, healing, and transformations in your life in 2024. This is a time of being honest with yourself about work/life balance. Or effort and receive balance. It is a time of letting the tears out for feeling overburdened with functionality and calls us back to a our divine, magical, mythical soul. It calls us out on resentment, and expectations and people pleasing in what our goals actually are. Is the mountain you are currently climbing, really yours to climb? Is it time for a new mountain? How are you honoring your capacity for expansion and growth? The question we always ask in Capricorn season - Are you hiding in work to avoid the emotional and soul expressions seeking to be healed and let out to play? OR the reverse: are you hiding in play with no map, plan, or larger goal than the next 24 hours? Balance in all things my loves. Capricorn's mantra is I use - or I utilize - or….. I create. Do you typically consider Capricorn creative? Achieving is literal creation. Use all the data points this cycle. But lean into your feels. And get honest about whether or not they are facts that you need to live by or stories that are holding you back. We all have Capricorn in our charts somewhere. we're all working with this energy in this season, in similar yet different ways. For those who are Capricorn natives - sun rising or moon in your natal chart - welcome home, embrace that you have been returned to your full resources. For those who are super sensitive to earth energy - it may feel like you are being called up with receipts on EVERYTHING…you may want for life and people to just let some things goooo and let something slide…but this season says nope. There have been other cycles for that, this one takes us to task to check some lessons off the to-do list for good…but there may be some build up her. Hang in there. Take breaks, invoke rest, meditation, prayer, hydration, and bathing. . Earth is the element of our resources - our time, money, energy, body, mind, and soul….it reminds us that what we produce has everything to do with how we tend to our heaven on earth, our vessel, and ourselves in this 3D incarnation. Our subconscious programming + our practical doing, and self discipline vs. not will all be up for celebration or review in an earth cycle. Particularly in Capricorn season. Capricorn rules the Knees, Joints, skeletal system, and teeth - What I'll offer up here for this community is that knee issues may abound this cycle. Knees are connected to our Father Wounds, our relationship with money, resources, and career, as well as spiritual lessons we have learned but are not yet implementing…knee issues represent walking our talk as well as feeling cut off at the knees. …a quick note on father wounds and capricorn…some astrologers prescribe to the theory that your Capricorn placement in your chart also describes the energetics of your father in this lifetime….so another connection between Saturn - father time - and Capricorn father issues/father wounds. Last note - my dear UWS members remember you - also have an offering in their library - in the Astrology section - titled Zodiac Basics: Capricorn - for even more Cappy understanding to support this season.
