POPULARITY
We're going more obscure with this minilog as we explore the 2013 cult classic anime Gatchaman Crowds and its 2015 sequel season Gatchaman Crowds Insight. We look at this history of the Gatchaman franchise and Tatsunoko Productions in general before we start discussing this strange, political, and highly prescient twist on the Superhero story, where protagonist Hajime Ichinose sets the rules and deals with internet trolls awakening individual will and friendly orange aliens granting sentience to the collective subconscious. And most importantly of all, we explore what it means to be a hero in a complex society based around the liberal democratic ideal of building consensus, as well as the dangers of populism and going with the flow. Yeah, it's THAT kind of series. Watch it!

How is an episode with all the regular hosts the one where it derails into hentai discussion? Also Gatchaman Crowds is over and everyone has mixed feelings on the climax. Show Notes The new Fist of the North Star releases (https://www.rightstufanime.com/Fist-of-the-North-Star-Manga-Volume-1-Hardcover) are absolutely stellar. Apparently half of my manga by volume these days are big hardcover omnibi from Viz. Thanks, Viz. There is some incredible Gatchaman Crowds hentai (https://lol.not_linking_this_what_are_you_kidding.com) out there, as the boys get into. My recommendation is the Rui dommed by "Mistress" X set. Avoid the Spanish crossover one with a chapter of Goku gangbanging angels. So sayeth Sibyl.
A brief foray into the pentultimate episode with twin hosts. The darkness before the dawn? Who knows, I can't say since two hosts don't know how this goes down yet.
This week: everyone showed restraint, by which we mean the editor carved out about ten minutes of tangents to keep things on topic, then stopped herself from injecting even more in response. Also - teamwork!
This week: how the fuck did we get here in what was supposedly just a happy, breezy episode of anime discussion? This one gets dark, y'all. Show Notes You should be watching Kenny Lauderdale (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6dsQSn70Cem7zFsUANHqpQ).

The monkey's paw curls: Garrett gets his Gatchaman combat sequence that he's been craving for months, in a way he never saw coming.
Sadly, our two-host podcast cannot get to the bottom of if the new King Kong film is any good, but with the help of an editor, it CAN learn something about scissors.
For the first time in a dog's age (no pun intended on any of the alien cast members), we've got a full house to discuss one of the weirdest episodes of the show yet!
A brief jaunt into the realm of "OH THIS WAS A BAD IDEA? YOU THINK?" with two hosts, two aliens, and Rui.
This week, the show changes its entire identity on a dime, and the discussion that comes out of this is... stark.
Trigger warning: mid-episode (in the show, not just the podcast) there's a sudden abrupt discussion of suicide. The hosts pass quickly over it since it has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING but be aware they will mention it. Also this week: fanservice, Evan, and gender identities!
Two hosts. One new medium. Today, Decacast is officially ANIME.

Rio: Rainbow Gate 9. Death Parade 10. C: The Money Of Soul And Possibility Control 10. C: The Money Of Soul And Possibility Control C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control is an anime-inspired by gambling where gamblers stake more than just their money and assets — their lives. It is a famous 2011 anime series directed by Kenji Nakamura, known for his work in Tsuritama and Gatchaman Crowds anime. The series follows the life of Kimimaro Yoga, a scholarship student of Economics, who is struggling to scrape enough to eat thanks to the destroyed Japanese economy resulting in people fleeing the country in search of a better life. Those who remain are experiencing unimaginable difficulties in providing their families with even the daily necessities. However, as those things go, not all people get to suffer the same. One day, a mysterious character Masakaki paid a visit to Kimimaro and invited him to the Eastern Financial District, a place where luxury and money are in abundance and where people gamble for more than just money. Kimimaro accepts the offer, becomes “Entre,” and embarks on never-ending bouts of gambling, staking his most valuable possession — his future. It is an anime that mixes the occult, the mysterious, and the very likely situation, since we have seen economies collapse on more than one occasion. The Money of Soul and Possibility Control tells about the willingness of people to gamble more than they can afford and partake in a dangerous game in search of a better life and prosperity that is not to be found there. 9. Death Parade Death Parade is a 2015 Japanese gambling anime series directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa that was meant to serve as a training series for animators. Instead, it grew into a franchise hit. Death Parade is an anime that connects the themes of gambling and death. The foreboding feeling you have now is justified since, in Death Parade, the recently deceased find themselves in a gambling bar, as there is no heaven in the afterlife, just a world of gambling. This bar is the only thing that stands in the way of eternal void and chance of reincarnation. The bartender Decim will offer those in attendance to play a random game with him, whether it is bowling, darts, or any other. The games are played with ultimate stakes — life or death. 8. Rio: Rainbow Gate Rio: Rainbow Gate is a perfect anime for all those who like the world of casino gambling and luxurious gambling resorts, as well as a good dose of humor. The storyline follows the life of Rio Rollins, a casino dealer working at the Howard Casino Resort situated on an island. Rio is known for her ability to bring good luck to gamblers, which is why she has a nickname “The Goddess of Victory.” A...
