Time for episode 127! We returned to Hibike! Euphonium with the OVA and season 3. In which it's Kumiko's and Reina's third year of high school, and also their last chance to get gold at nationals with the Kitauji High School band. Even with the potential complication of a new euphonium player. Plus, there's still a bit of yuri bait. Check it out on Crunchyroll.

It's time for episode 87! This time around, we watched Hibike! Euphonium (or Sound! Euphonium if you prefer). On one hand, it's a fantastic anime about a high school concert band. On the other hand, it's some of the worst yuri-bait in recent memory. So yeah, some mixed (yet passionate) feeling on this one. We also talked a bit about the spinoff movie Liz and the Blue Bird. Check it out on Crunchyroll! And note that neither movie is currently available on streaming services. Back to school with loads of band kids cause it's Hibike! Euphonium time! This week it's season 1 and there's lesbians abound! To preface the episode I apologize we had some technical difficulties so some parts of Mari's audio peak randomly and clip/gets distorted. It's not frequent but a heads up for that it can get loud at times. This episode serves as a tribute to the lives that were tragically lost from the arson attack at Kyoto Animation studios. We as a group thought it would be good to take a moment to not only celebrate the works that these individuals helped create but to also take a moment to reflect on the loss and to extend our respect to their loved ones. Our theme for this episode is a celebration of some of the Kyoani's titles that most impacted our lives and a look back on how they've shaped us. Before the theme is our normal episode structure where we discuss titles like Given, Urusei Yatsura, Dr. Stone, Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks, One Piece (water 7 arc), Astra Lost in Space, and a rapid fire rundown from Mari's Light Novel Corner. Our Kyoani topic has us talking about Amagi Brilliant Park, Hibike Euphonium, K-on, and Haruhi Suzumiya.
