As we focus this week on growing in trusting God, today we'll explore the concept of obedience. Trust and obedience are directly related. Willing, joyful obedience comes from a place of deep-rooted trust in the character and intentions of your God. When we learn to trust the heart of the Father, obedience is a natural response to whatever he asks. May you grow today in your willingness and excitement to quickly obey the Lord as you learn of his love and goodness. Our Scripture for today comes from Isaiah 1:19, and today's worship is I Have Decided by Forerunner Music feat. Jaye Thomas. In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, Pastor Swanson shares a Sunday message titled, It's Time For Spiritual Maturity! As believers, we are to seek to become spiritually mature. The believer needs to be strengthened with power in the "inner person," that is, in the deepest part of his being, in his soul, in his heart, in his spirit - in the spirit that God has renewed. The greatest hurdle most Christians need to overcome is obtaining a desire to become spiritually mature. If you desire further information, it may be obtained at wordgiver@gmail.com. The music, "We Join Our Hearts, Revive Us Again, Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow, and I Have Decided" arranged and played by Don Wigton. Used by Permission.

Click here to help even more people encounter God through the ministry of First15. _____ We just launched Vol. 7 of our First15 Devotional Series, Trust. And I couldn’t be more excited! Trust is one of the devotional books I’ve been most anticipating, because of how critical trust is to our ability to thrive in and out of life’s difficult seasons. This year has been arguably the hardest year we’ve faced globally in a generation. The pandemic has quickly taken its toll in every corner of our society, and every corner of the human heart. And the effects of systematic racism, and our lack of true racial reconciliation across the U.S. and beyond has brought us face to face with the mountain of division we’ve yet to overcome. Personally, when life is good I find it easy to trust God, to be grateful for the ways he’s providing for me. But when my circumstances get hard, I find myself taking my life back in my control, and suffering as a result. In Scripture, so many of God’s promises of peace, of provision, of safety are linked to our trust. Trust is like the “yes” that empowers God to move in deeper and more profound ways in and through us. So I want to sincerely encourage you to get Trust today, to immerse yourself in this 5-week guide that will help you genuinely and wholeheartedly trust God. Because when you give God your trust, you’ll find an abundant peace and life that can carry you with unshakable joy through even life’s hardest challenges. Click here to get your copy of Trust today.

Worship pastor Andrew Bullins may be from the North Carolina home of Andy Griffith, but he wants his city to be known more for a Holy Spirit outpouring than for a famous actor. Walking in the Spirit combined with growing in the Word has become the focus of Bullins' life, but it wasn't always that way. To help believers mature in their faith walk, he has written a highly applicable devotional titled "I Have Decided: 31 Decisions For Your Christian Walk." Listen to this in-studio episode with host Chris Johnson and decide today to move forward in your relationship with Jesus.

Until we have decided what we really do believe and live life "as if" we believe it, we will not make great progress toward our great adventure or the life we really want to live. Sooner or later we have to decide what we believe to be the truth and anchor in it. In this article and episode of Calibrate Life, we discuss being "all in" with the ways we choose to invest our lives. The post 106 – I Have Decided… All In appeared first on Calibrate360.

During my growing up years, one of my favorite hymns to sing at invitation time was “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus”. I don’t know if I was drawn to the simple melody, the easy to remember lyrics, or the message in the song…maybe all of the above, but it was one of my favorites. […]

Our Bluegrass Version of "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus"It is a Christian hymn originating from India. The lyrics are based on the last words of a man in Assam, north-east India, who along with his family was converted to Christianity in the middle of the 19th century through the efforts of a Welsh missionary. Called to renounce his faith by the village chief, the convert declared, "I have decided to follow Jesus." In response to threats to his family, he continued, "Though no one joins me, still I will follow." His wife was killed, and he was executed while singing, "The cross before me, the world behind me." This display of faith is reported to have led to the conversion of the chief and others in the village.[1]The formation of these words into a hymn is attributed to the Indian missionary Sadhu Sundar Singh.[2] The melody is also Indian, and entitled "Assam" after the region where the text originated.[3] The fierce opposition is possible as various tribes in that area were formerly renowned for head-hunting.[4]An American hymn editor, William Jensen Reynolds, composed an arrangement which was included in the 1959 Assembly Songbook. His version became a regular feature of Billy Graham's evangelistic meetings in America and elsewhere, spreading its popularity.[5] http://en.wikipedia.orgFolk Melody from India.Public Domain.CI have decided, to follow Jesus,C7 F CI have decided, to follow Jesus,CI have decided, to follow Jesus, Am G CNo turning back, no turning back!Though I may wonder, I still will follow...Though none go with me, still I will follow...The world behind me, the cross before me...Will you decide now to follow Jesus?YouTube Channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/ShilohWorshipGroup ©2012 Shiloh Worship Music COPY FREELY;This Music is copyrighted to prevent misuse, however, permission is granted for any and all non-commercial uses -Radio play permitted.
