Aurora Cemetery in Aurora, Texas is a historic graveyard that gained fame for allegedly containing the burial site of an alien pilot who crashed there in 1897, with the incident being reported in the Dallas Morning News on April 19, 1897. The cemetery remains active today and is recognized as a Historic Texas Cemetery by the Texas Historical Commission, though the original grave marker with its reported strange symbols has long since disappeared.
