The end of an era.South Melbourne have parted ways with Esteban Quintas after a 3-0 humbling at the hands of an irresistible Heidelberg in the Greek Derby, and Josh, Lachie and Ivka are on board to debate the legacy and achievements of the league's most polarising coach.Melbourne Knights sit in the relegation zone again after a similarly comprehensive defeat to Dandenong Thunder - but why does Ivan Franjic not seem to be under the same sort of pressure?Daniel Graskoski shines as Preston draw a blank in Bundoora, Joe Knowles dominates as Dandy City wilt at Oakleigh, Josh Hope channels his inner Zidane, and Hume City shoot some fish in a barrel. Plus, there's a 6-3 in the Chaos League, an outfielder dons the gloves in VPL2, and six games coming up at once on Anzac Day!The NPL Victoria Podcast is brought to you in 2025 by Melville Bodyworks, located at 106 Melville Rd Brunswick West. Today I have the immense privilege of speaking with Dr. Sue Mayes. She's the current director of the Australian Ballet's globally recognized artistic health team. Sue was born in Victoria, and like many physios who work with dancers, Sue learned classical ballet in her youth and studied full-time under the formidable Gailene stock. It was while she was completing her diploma of dance that Sue's started to think about her future. Her love of dance combined with an interest in anatomy led her to physiotherapy, and as we say, the rest is history. In this most fascinating episode, Sue shares her journey in dance, and how she found her way to the Australian Ballet, where she began an esteemed career that has spanned 30 years developing the Australian Ballet's Injury Prevention Program.Sue's time as the head of the Australian Ballet's Wellness Team has now come to an end, and she begins her tenure as a senior lecturer at Latrobe University in Bundoora, Melbourne. If you'd like to find any of Sue's extensive research, all you need to do is Google her name and you can also find her injury prevention exercises on the Australian Ballet's YouTube channel. To continue to follow all of Sue's adventures, you'll find her on Instagram @suemayes8839.Today's episode was the final episode of Season four of Talking Pointes. But stay tuned. We'll be releasing lots of bonus episodes in the coming weeks. Talking Pointes is produced on the lands of the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, to whom we pay our greatest respects. This season of Talking Pointes is sponsored by Energetiks. Energetics, specialize in creating sustainable for the stars of tomorrow. Josh, Nick and Ivka discuss South Melbourne's decision to rest seven of their starting XI against Dinamo, with disastrous consequences.Heidelberg and Preston played out a classic 1-1 draw in Bundoora, in which only star turns from both goalkeepers kept the scoreline in check. But how do the Lions stack up against South on Friday night?Alarm bells are ringing for the Cavaliers after a 'shock' loss to the Sharks, but one member of the panel wasn't surprised in the slightest. There's screamers and howlers in equal measure as Hume take the points at Frank Holohan, Avondale flexes their squad depth, and Dennis 'The Menace' Menelaou has a night to remember as Bulleen thump North Sunshine.Plus, we receive a mysterious talkback call from somewhere on the road to Gundagai...
