Good news for Tilly apologists (like M. Foss): Ashley is warming up to everyone's favorite cadet. Bad news for fans of Saru (like M. Foss): we can't say the same about everyone's favorite Kelpian. Ashley still hates him. Also bad news for anyone who has ever seen The Original Series (like M. Foss): Ashley is all in on her choice of Harcourt Fenton Mudd as her favorite Star Trek character so far. But all these news items come with…you guessed it…CONTEXT. Join us to learn all about that context and much, much more. For funsies, here's an article you might enjoy about blasting past Star Trek's final frontier: swear words on the show. Okay so this is the episode where both Mike and Johnson can BOTH agree that at the very least, Michael Burnham is written well, and less aggravating than usual - though that doesn't stop Johnson from having some strong points of feedback. That being said, we loved the episode "All is Possible" as a whole, where we get some awesome character moments. And who else is on this Saru and T'Rina ship!?!?! We also say a bittersweet farewell to Tilly, at least for now. Here's hoping she isn't a stranger, and if she is indeed going to get her own Starfleet Academy show that Mary Wiseman lets us know first!!

Jobob, Warden, and Willy dig into the sixth episode of season two of Star Trek: Discovery. They discuss Kelpian flechette guns; more prime directive madness; and numerous ongoing themes. All opinions are our own. If you like something we don't: Great! Enjoy! We're glad you do! Everyone needs their thing.
The actor talks creating Saru's movements
All’s well that ends well, right?! Season one comes to a defending climax with the Klingons having control of most of Alpha Quadrant, the DISCO attempting a suicidal mission to find the weaknesses in Qo’Onos, and this could be the end. Will it be well?! Or just: all’s that ends? The good news is, the Kelpian feasting, murder ambitious, machiavellian emperor from the Mirror Universe is in charge of this new assault so — wait. Is that good news? Oh dear. Will you take my hand?
Hosts Cam Smith and Tyler Orton frantically dodge Mugatu claws while exploring the classic aliens they'd like to see the crew of the USS Ceritos encounter on Star Trek: Lower Decks. From sentient plants with a penchant for cloning, to the game-obsessed Wati people and the Kelpian's unsettling enemies the Ba-ul, the duo dig through the canon for potentially amusing ideas. Plus, the hosts also name their most memorable lame missions! Right-click to download.Read more »

In Episode 12, ‘Vaulting Ambition,’ we find ourselves still in the Mirror Universe with ever increasing danger. Michael Burnham and Captain Lorca are summoned to the Emperor’s Palace ship, the ISS Charon, to confront the Terran Emperor, a ruthless Mirror version of Captain Philippa Georgiou. She sentences Lorca to suffer unending pain for the remainder of his life in the Agonizer for the failed coup attempt he led. To celebrate his capture the Emperor invites Michael to dine with her on fresh Kelpian soup. It’s at this dinner that Mirror Georgiou reveals she had uncovered Mirror Burnham’s betrayal and sentences her to death for treason. To save herself and salvage her mission, Michael confesses her true identity as an agent of the Federation. She proves her claims by showing the Emperor the Prime Georgiou’s delta pin that Michael had retrived from Kol. Mirror Georgiou agrees to spare Michael’s life and the Discovery crew, if she will share the schematics for their spore propulsion drive. Georgiou also provides Michael with information about her Doppelgänger and Lorca that convinces Michael that the man she has been serving with actually is the treasonous conspirator of the Mirror universe. Simultaneously with this revelation, Lorca escapes the agonizer booth and reconfirms his identity as Mirror Lorca. Stamets, whose consciousness is trapped within the mycellial network, must find a way to reconnect with his physical body in hopes it will save himself. Culber reappears to Stamets to inform him of his fate, but also to let him know that nothing truly dies. He tells him Mirror Stamets is not to be trusted and is responsible for an infection that is destroying the mycelial network and, ultimately, life itself throughout the multiverse. Back on the Discovery in sickbay, Lt. Ash Tyler is at war within himself as two consciousness – Tyler and Voq - violently battle for control of his body.
