Some shows age like a fine wine.  Others age like bad milk.  This show falls under the latter, a show which would never see the light of day in 2025 but did get 13 episodes in 1988.  Scott Bakula stars in this series as a new hotshot lawyer who has a way with the ladies, a year before Bakula would hit it real big.  In true 1988 "don't give a darn" fashion, there was enough misogyny and quasi-racism to go around.

Well. We weren't sure what exactly to expect going into William Shatner's other foray into "Trek" documentary making, but we definitely weren't expecting this. Join us as The Shat turns everything into a self-serving therapy session, especially with Patrick Stewart! Gape in horror at the mind-numbing misogyny he spews in front of Kate Mulgrew! Be pleasantly surprised by how darn personable Bakula is! Blink and you'll miss Chris Pine! And wonder, forever, if Avery Brooks is messing with Shatner or if he's genuinely that odd! This time around Sam finds himself stuck not in the body of a glam rocker, nor in the body of one of those women, nor in the fleshy meat tomb of a gangster or something. No this time around he's in the body of one of man's closest relatives... a chimpanzee!Sam's mission is to save the chimp he's inside of (eww that sounded gross) by making the chimp the best astronaut it can be. And yes, that's the real plot of this episode. So quit monkeying around and listen in!

The story of Quantum Leap is simple, well no it isn't but let's say it is. Sam (Scott Dracula) goes back in time and inhabits the bodies of random people while his friend Al (Dean Stockwell) helps him out using a computer that's real good at probabilities. This time around Sam finds himself inside the body of a guy called Tonic, a 'glitter rocker' in the vein of KISS who is due to be stabbed in a few days if Sam and Al can't figure out who the stabber isThe episode includes a whole bunch of awesome fake music, weird guys with largely fake British accents, and of course a sex, drugs and rock and roll**Note: Scott Dracula is actually not cool like his name implies and is instead very much against the ideas of sex and drugs. Rock and Roll, however, may remain provided it doesn't get too intense

We kick off #AUGHOST with 1987's PRISON.  Directed by Renny Harlin (CLIFFHANGER, THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT) and written HALLOWEEN producer Irwin Yablans, PRISON is a curious partnership between New World Pictures and Empire Pictures.  And who's the beneficiary of this partnership?  We all are.   Don't let the title fool you.  The Prison in PRISON offers loose rules, plenty of yard time, and a ghost that's out for revenge.  In this prison, you're locked up with an ensemble cast including Chelsea Field (or Mrs. Bakula according to Marc) from BIRDS 2: LANDS END, Lane Smith (SON-IN-LAW) and some guy named Viggo Mortenson.  He didn't do a whole lot outside of this movie but that doesn't stop Erica from creating a new fan club called the Viggans (pronounced, "vegans").  The meals are exceptional and they have open mic night.    PRISON feels like it could have been an entry into the Hellraiser franchise or a Pauly Shore vehicle while also carving it's own path.  Spoiler, we spend a lot of time talking about Pauly Shore.
