After going into early retirement at age 39 due to a chronic illness, but not yet ready for her life to be over, she decided to bring her dream to life. Without really knowing what she was doing, or how far she could get, she just sat down at her laptop and began writing. You can check out her novel by clicking the LINK IN BIO on her Instagram @authorangelayers. Get cozy, grab your favorite drink and listen to this week's amazing.

Hey Hey! In today's episode, I bring you my good friend and fellow Healthy Lifestyle Coach, Karlee Welder - Holistic Nutritionist Karlee and I met when we we both teamed up with Enagic (or magic water as we like to call it), and have stayed in touch over the past couple of years. Karlee decided that affiliate marketing just wasn't her passion and she decided to dive back into what she originally went to school for, and I'm so glad she did! She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to health and nutrition, and one of the reasons Karlee and I gravitate to one another, is the fact that we both strongly believe that eating clean and living a healthy lifestyle DOES NOT need to be complicated. We also both love fitness and our main passion is helping people achieve the goals they desire in a sustainable way! In this episode Karlee and I discuss: How living a clean and healthy life can be simple and the reasons so many people fail when they begin a new health journey Tips on how to make small changes in your daily routine to improve your overall wellness Different types of nutrition and our personal opinions on some examples ***Please NOTE*** I am not a doctor or nutritionist, I have just formed my own opinion on some diets and trends that are out there today based on my own experience. Please do your own research, and form your own opinion on some of the topics discussed today We even chat a little bit about Covid-19 **again, please do your own research** Karlee's course "THE UN-MEAL PLAN" is launching this September so be sure to check out her socials and shoot Karlee a DM if you have any interest in giving her amazing coaching a try! It’s all about perception, right? This pandemic continues to be trying, BUT one thing it has given many of us is time. Celebrated Reiki master Patti Penn (@pauseinjoywithpatti) says that this time is our “great pause,” a chance to take stock of the energetic forces in our lives like work and our relationships, and really evaluate what's making us lighter, and what's making us heavier. Like so many inthe world, Patti rightly observed that I'm operating at 50% right now, and that I need to let go of the heavy baggage that's weighing me down. Who are you? Why are you here? These were the questions posed to Akosua Edwards by a female-driven collective in rural Uganda, where she had gone to take her knowledge as a successful accountant to give advice and guidance to grow their business. Little did she know she would be the one who ended up learning the most, uncovering new truths about the meaning of success, purpose and self-love. The answer, she found, was that “You are here to give out the gift the universe put into you.” Identifying her gift has taken Akosua on a journey from unemployed accountant to successful author and award-winning social entrepreneur. Tune in (LINK IN BIO) to hear Akosua speak powerfully about the impact of a strong community, the freedom that comes from releasing those things that do not drive your purpose, and the role that business can play in creating not only commercial success, but also significant social change.
“Human Design is a system that is based on your exact time, date, and place of birth. It’s what gives us our energetic DNA.” -Erin Claire Jones We want to say a huge thank you and mahalo to Erin Claire Jones for being interviewed on the That’s Deep Podcast! You are truly such a kind, insightful, and inspiring soul. I genuinely had such great time chatting about everything Human Design with you! Erin is a Leadership Coach who specializes in Human Design. She helps leaders and teams to step into their highest potential by offering them a blueprint to how they operate so they can perform at the top of their game (in their personal and professional lives). She’s consulted for startups across the globe and she’s also been featured in Forbes, Nylon Magazine, and Well and Good. In this episode, she shares her story of working in various startups but started to notice that people didn’t quite understand each other and didn’t know how to work/function together. She ended up diving into personal development modalities for her own personal growth, and then she discovered human design in 2015 and the rest was history. When she first started, she felt like nobody was really ready for it. Now, in the last two years she’s had her own practice where she helps individuals and companies to align with their own unique blueprint so that they can perform and operate at their best in their personal and professional lives. Before talking story with Erin, I’ve always thought that I was a projector. But come to find out, I’m actually a generator. Erin said that generators have the energy and the life force to build and make things happen. But the most important part is that they’re deeply lit up by what they’re doing. They are built to design their life and business through their magnetism. Listen to the episode to find out more about your type and all about the basics of Human Design. *LINK IN BIO. *Fun side-note: I just bought my mom a blueprint for Christmas and she is absolutely over the moon! My mom and I are actually business partners as well, and we work on a real estate team together here in Hawaii. I can’t wait to learn more about her energetic DNA so I can be more supportive and honor her unique needs and gifts (as a daughter + biz partner) Thank you Erin for your wisdom and kindness!
