When one of us has a major failing, it hurts all of us."Luke Morgan on the significance of having support systems in leadership: "So many leaders are free soloing in their leadership… we've got no safety gear."Luke Morgan on the importance of having trusted counsel and the humility to receive it: "He had one guy whom he could trust, and he had the humility to do what he told him. Those are the two pieces that so many pastors are missing in their ministry today."----------------Looking to dig more deeply into this topic and conversation? Episode 74 (Madison Bowey)The fellas were joined by Brighton, MI native and current forward for the University of Michigan Wolverines, Luke Morgan. Luke is a hell of a player and has played with some notable names throughout his career (Quinn Hughes and Josh Norris - sound familiar?) Luke takes us through every stepping stone that led him to donning the maize and blue, which, as a Michigan native, is a dream come true (shut up State fans - it's the same for you too). *did not mean for any of this to rhyme* Side note: just this past year, Luke played with three of the players that will likely be drafted in the top 10 in this year's NHL entry draft (Matt Beniers, Owen Power, and Kent Johnson). Luke has been feeding these guys so many apples it's a wonder why he hasn't gotten a look at the big show. The boys round out with some talk about the finals between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning. This is first appearance by a Canadian team since 2011 and Montreal's first trip to the final since they won it back in 1993. This would be Tampa's first time in franchise history playing for a chance at back-to-back Stanley Cups. Buckle up, folks - the end is near!

In this episode of the Cinema Australia Podcast, host Matthew Eeles is joined The Xrossing director Steven Mihaljevich and producer Carl Maiorana to discuss their new coming-of-age drama. The two also co-wrote the film. After the murder of a young girl in the Perth Hills, three boys harass a reclusive Aboriginal man known in the neighbourhood as “Black Bobby (played by Kelton Pell). One of the boys, Chris (played by Luke Morgan), must apologise to Bobby and make amends. Encouraged by his media classmate and friend, Abbey, (Georgia Eyers) Chris builds an unlikely friendship with Bobby. Old friendships are tested and new friendships take shape against the forces of ignorance and crime in the neighbourhood. Betrayal, incarceration and more tragedy are now all at the cross roads. Carl and Steven share some great stories about the making of The Xrossing, including their decision to spell the tittle with an X and they also share a very interesting story about how they cast the film following the tragic death of an original cast member. We were also given a very special opportunity to share a song from the film, We Should Have Paradise, sung by Kelton Pell, which you can hear about half way through.

In this episode, Luke Morgan discusses his article "The Broken Branch: Capitalism, the Constitution, and the Press," forthcoming in the Penn State Law Review. Morgan begins by discussing the economic decline of journalism, and why applying market logic to the public good of journalism has precipitated its decline. He continues by explaining why journalism cannot exist as a market product, arguing that its limited success in that regard is a result of a combination of subsidization by advertisers, a business model that has been destroyed by the internet. Describing two emerging models of addressing the problem -- patronage and corporatization -- he details how each undermines the democratic purpose of journalism without solving its fundamental economic problem.Morgan then explores the role of the institutional press within the Constitutional system, noting the importance of press freedom and of the institutional press itself to America's founding generation. He argues that the Press Clause of the First Amendment has been essentially been written out of the Constitution through the Supreme Court's adoption of the "dissemination theory" of the Press Clause, and argues against that theory. He notes that the combination of market and political pressures threaten press freedom, creating a condition of "press unfreedom." Morgan concludes by providing his insights and recommendations for the public, policymakers, and governments. He is on Twitter at @s_lukemorgan.This episode was hosted by Luce Nguyen. Back to Pro14 rugby action after the Autumn Internationals. After a hammering to Leinster's reserves, what now for Dragons? Is Bernard Jackman facing a must win game next up in the league? Elsewhere, hat trick for Luke Morgan, late blow for Cardiff Blues and Scarlets lose to 14 men. We also preview the European Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup ties next week. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
England have got their Autumn International campaign off to a winning start, and quite a surprising one too over South Africa. In studio with Brian Moore to discuss that and the other international fixtures is former Scotland scrum half, Rory Lawson. Was England’s win down to luck? Brian says no, former England scrum half Kyran Bracken says yes. Kyran also says that Farrell needs to be playing at fly half due to his greater physicality than that of George Ford. We discuss the Doddie Weir Cup with Rory and former Wales winger Dafydd James who says it was a lacklustre performance in which the home side never got going, with Luke Morgan "a bit starstruck by the occasion". Paddy Wallace makes his Full Contact debut to discuss the incredible depth of the Irish squad as displayed at Soldier Field on Saturday night and he tells us about Rhys Ruddock the captain for the match against Italy. We also look at the World Rugby Player of the Year nominations including an appraisal of Faf de Klerk. Plus World Cup winning coach Gary Street brings us up to date with everything in the women's game and looks ahead to the Red Roses' internationals.
Ospreys wing George North finally gets his right of reply on this week's Pod. Martyn and Steff chat to his team mate Luke Morgan about his call up to the Wales squad.
We hear from all four regions looking forward to European action this weekend. Wayne Pivac and Ken Owens from the Scarlets, John Mulvihill and Ellis Jenkins from the Blues, while Ospreys wing Luke Morgan talks about his transfer from Wales Sevens and Dragons wing Ashton Hewitt on his return from injury.

For this week's podcast, we caught up with artist and designer Morag Meyerscough at the recent Something Good festival in Bristol. Regarded as one of the UK’s most prolific designers, Morag’s work is instantly recognisable for its punchy shapes, bright colours and bold patterns. Treading a fine line between art and design, she creates installations and immersive spatial designs that champion community and public interaction – adorning everything from cafes and hospitals to museums and art galleries. After graduating from the Central Saint Martins and the RCA, Morag embarked on full-time work with design studio Lamb & Shirley, followed by a six-month stint at the Milan-based Studio De Lucchi. Feeling there was something of a glass ceiling for women in the industry, she decided to “compete against the boys” and found her first studio, Myerscough Chipchase in the early ’90s. Together with fellow RCA graduate Jane Chipchase, the duo created work that infiltrated the architectural world. Morag has served as her own boss ever since, moving on to launch the multi-award-winning Studio Myerscough in 1993, and often creates alongside fellow artists and designers, including frequent collaborator Luke Morgan. She discusses how she went from being told she’d never get a job, to stamping out a unique style that has allowed her to explore fine art, product and interior design. Her advice to those starting out? Don’t copy or follow the crowd: “Absorb and take in what you see, let it rest and filter, then produce something original.” See the full article here: lectureinprogress.com/journal/morag-myerscough This Lecture in Progress podcast was presented by Indi Davies and the producer was Ivor Manly.
