In this shocking episode, I discuss a case out Kleine Brogel Air Base in Belgium. In 2023, SSgt Wright was driving from Belgium to the Netherlands, when she failed to yield, hitting a woman on a bicycle. The woman was Faride Khoshnoud Fashandi. She later passed from her injuries and her husband became enraged. When the Dutch authorities relinquished authority over the case, handing the case to the U.S. to pursue, he decided to take the law into his own hands. 9 months later, he attacked SSgt Wright with a kitchen knife. This is the shocking true story of how one negligent act spawned a retaliatory attack. ⸻
Send Kris and Rob a Text Message! In 1986, Marine David Cox helped carry out a Code Red at Guantanamo Bay on a Private who fully recovered from his injuries. When David and nine others were faced with a court-martial and an Other Than Honorable Discharge, he refused a plea deal, stood trial, and walked free; his attorney arguing that he was following orders. That courtroom drama would go on to inspire Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men. But David's story didn't end there. In 1994, Cox was found shot to death—execution-style. Wallet intact. No robbery. No suspects. No justice. This week on Hitched 2 Homicide, we're peeling back the Hollywood polish and military records to expose the haunting, unsolved truth behind one of the most infamous cases of military justice—and murder—in U.S. history.
In this shocking episode, we expose the terrifying case of Sgt. Greville Clarke—a soldier stationed at Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos)—who preyed on his fellow service members in a brutal 18-month crime spree. From 2021 to 2022, Clarke broke into Army barracks, raped and tortured female soldiers, and even attempted to murder one. Despite multiple reports and escalating violence, the predator evaded capture for over a year. This is the chilling true story of how one of the Army's own turned into a serial predator—inside a place that should've been safe. On June 26, 2023, Sergeant First Class Ashley Henning was celebrating her 37th birthday with her family and a few close friends. But what was meant to be a happy occasion ended in tragedy, when home surveillance footage captured Jordan Henning, her husband and also a soldier, shooting and killing his wife, before fleeing the scene. Jordan Henning was subsequently charged with murder by the state of Kentucky and he would have his day in court in March 2025, where he would testify in his defense that he was a battered husband who suffered at the hands of his wife. Jordan's testimony was NOT corroborated by anyone who knew the couple. And the video surveillance footage also painted a different story. When the jury returned their verdict, everyone was shocked. Was there really justice for Ashley Henning, a 20-year Army veteran? Listen to this episode, where Margot does a deep dive into the courtroom testimony. On July 9, 2024, evil walked into a house on a quiet cul-de-sac on Ashlyn Close in Bushey, Hertforshire, England. And when it walked out, he had taken the lives of 3 women in the Hunt Family - Carol, Louise, and Hannah Hunt. This massacre, dubbed the Crossbow Killings, gained widespread media attention for its brutality and calculated execution. The perpetrator was Kyle Clifford, a former British Army serviceman. Join Margot, as she discusses Clifford's premeditation, his twisted mindset, and the subsequent trial, where he was thankfully sentenced to a whole life order (British lingo for life without parole). When authoritieOn October 22, 2023, 30-year old Breanne Pennington, mother of 4, was gunned down in her bed, while her kids were in the next room. When authorities searched for Breanne's husband, they found evidence that he fled the home minutes before his kids knocked on a neighbor's door asking for help. Since Breanne's death, Massachusetts police have been on the hunt for 33-year old Aaron Pennington, an Air Force veteran and former Raytheon employee - who has been charged in Breanne's murder. His car was found the day after the murder in the woods, and authorities are focusing their search in that area. The search ceased from November 2023 until early 2024, where police picked up the search. Authorities believe that Aaron Pennington walked into the woods and either took his own life or maybe died from hypothermia - but until his body is found - authorities are believing he is still alive. If you have seen Aaron Pennington recently, or know anything about his whereabouts, please contact the Gardner PD at 978-632-5600 or the Massachusetts PD at 508-829-8326. 09/20/2023 Bruh Issa Murder About The Guest(s): Mama Margot is the host of the true crime podcast Military Murder. She is an attorney by trade and is passionate about sharing the stories of military members involved in criminal cases. Summary: In this episode, the host is joined by Mama Margot, the host of the podcast Military Murder, to discuss the mysterious death of Denisha Montgomery Smith, a military police officer who reported a physical assault before her death. The case raises questions about a possible cover-up and the handling of the investigation by the military. The host and Brooke analyze the evidence, including a video call in which Denisha details her assault and discusses the challenges faced when investigating assaults in the military. They also highlight the importance of seeking help and maintaining a paper trail. The episode concludes with a call for justice and transparency in Denisha's case. Key Takeaways: Denisha Montgomery Smith reported a physical assault to her chain of command before her death. The military initially ruled Denisha's death a suicide but has not provided the family with the full investigation file. The video call in which Denisha details her assault provides evidence supporting her claims. The military's handling of the case raises questions about transparency and accountability. Individuals need to seek help and maintain a paper trail in cases of assault or abuse. Quotes: "The soldier herself had reported a physical assault to her chain of command and her family weeks before her death." "The question arises is, did this assault have to do with her death? Was there a cover-up, or is this a bad situation or circumstances?" "The family, Denisha's family, are asking for information, and the military isn't completely open about it." "The whole attack is so just, it seems to me over the top. First of all, uncalled for." "If we wouldn't have had her recording to her family, everyone would just be like, oh, the family is just they just didn't know anything about Denisha." "The military needs to be more transparent with what is going on during those investigations and also give people... the proper investigation." "The more we continue to share Denisha's story and keep her out there, the more other people and possible victims will learn about the cases." This week Clint speaks with Mama Margott. Margot started a true crime podcast, Military Murder, in 2019. She wanted to create the podcast, as a true crime enthusiast to create an avenue to remind her brothers and sisters in arms that crime occurs everywhere. She wants people to "remain vigilant always." As a leader in the military, Margot served as a victim's counsel, she was saddened by how easy people let down their guard depending on their location. Working in the legal office, she saw the worst of the worst and wanted to use storytelling as a way to help others. I am sharing an episode from my podcast bestie Margot from Military Murder. As a service member herself, she is the perfect person to walk you through cases involving the military. Happy Memorial Day! John Battaglia Jr. was a handsome Marine veteran who used his looks and his charm to sweet talk women in his life. But there was a secret inside that he unleashed as soon as his wives were “trapped” in marriage with this monster. His first wife, Michelle Ward, a highly educated lawyer, suffered domestic abuse at his hands, while his second wife, Mary Jeane, a wealthy woman suffered both emotional and then later physical abuse at his hands. John terrorized his estranged wives and then his ex-wives, but the real terror wouldn't be against his unlucky ex-wives, his revenge would be against the most innocent of innocent. Dig in with Margot as she discusses John Battaglia Jr.'s reign of terror on his family. Warning: This episode contains issues of domestic violence and violence against children. Listener discretion is advised. If you or anyone you know is suffering from domestic violence, needs help, encouragement, or support, please contact the NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE at 1-800-799-SAFE(7233).
