When Michael Ryan Burke posted an iPhone on Facebook Marketplace, he was just trying to find an honest buyer, maybe haggle, and move on. But instead, he became the target of a Facebook marketplace scam that began a few days earlier.  A buyer agreed to meet for the phone, and Ryan gave his home address. Tina Heins was 15 weeks pregnant when she was slaughtered in her home, while her husband was on duty. Tina's brother-in-law, Chad Heins, was home during the murder and was awakened when the fire alarm blared - leading him to discover various small fires in the home. He rushed to get Tina, only to discover she had been murdered. Without much evidence, Chad was charged, convicted and sentenced to life in prison for Tina's murder (in addition to sexual assault). In 2007, Chad was officially exonerated. But Tina's murder remained unsolved, until an arrest was made in September 2025!  It was an arrest that shocked everyone. Tara Grinstead disappeared from her house in October 2005. The investigation led authorities to various suspects over the years, but sadly, Tara's case went ice cold. Then in 2016, a budding filmmaker (Payne Lindsey) decided to investigate the case in season 1 of his true crime podcast, Up and Vanished. The podcast was a hit and by early 2017, GBI released a statement, they had made an arrest in Tara Grinstead's case. 10 days later, another arrest. The alleged perpetrators? Ryan Duke and Bo Dukes - no relationship to each other, despite the similar last names. After the two men confessed to their part in Tara's disappearance, the case seemed pretty cut and dry, until one of the men took the stand in his own defense and flipped the script. In early December 2022, dismembered body parts were found scattered over a 3 mile radius in Georgia. The Jane Doe remained anonymous for 6 months, but due to genetic geneology, her identity was discovered. The victim was 40-year old Mindi Kassotis. Her parents were shocked to learn that she had not only been murdered, but dismembered, because they had been told Mindi died at a hospital from a stroke. In January 1994, a hiker near Muir Beach, California, made a grisly discovery—a woman's body, wrapped in a sleeping bag, dumped off a coastal cliffside. In this shocking episode, I discuss a case out Kleine Brogel Air Base in Belgium.   In 2023, SSgt Wright was driving from Belgium to the Netherlands, when she failed to yield, hitting a woman on a bicycle. The woman was Faride Khoshnoud Fashandi. She later passed from her injuries and her husband became enraged. When the Dutch authorities relinquished authority over the case, handing the case to the U.S. to pursue, he decided to take the law into his own hands. 9 months later, he attacked SSgt Wright with a kitchen knife. This is the shocking true story of how one negligent act spawned a retaliatory attack. ⸻

On June 26, 2023, Sergeant First Class Ashley Henning was celebrating her 37th birthday with her family and a few close friends. But what was meant to be a happy occasion ended in tragedy, when home surveillance footage captured Jordan Henning, her husband and also a soldier, shooting and killing his wife, before fleeing the scene.  Jordan Henning was subsequently charged with murder by the state of Kentucky and he would have his day in court in March 2025, where he would testify in his defense that he was a battered husband who suffered at the hands of his wife.  Jordan's testimony was NOT corroborated by anyone who knew the couple. And the video surveillance footage also painted a different story.  When the jury returned their verdict, everyone was shocked. Was there really justice for Ashley Henning, a 20-year Army veteran? On July 9, 2024, evil walked into a house on a quiet cul-de-sac on Ashlyn Close in Bushey, Hertforshire, England. And when it walked out, he had taken the lives of 3 women in the Hunt Family - Carol, Louise, and Hannah Hunt.  This massacre, dubbed the Crossbow Killings, gained widespread media attention for its brutality and calculated execution. The perpetrator was Kyle Clifford, a former British Army serviceman.
