Anthonette Cayedito, a 9-year-old Navajo girl, disappeared from her family's home in Gallup, New Mexico, on April 6, 1986. According to her younger sister, a knock on the door around 3 a.m. woke the family. Anthonette answered, believing it was a relative, and was reportedly abducted by unidentified individuals. Her mother, Penny Cayedito, was initially unaware of her disappearance until the following morning. Despite intensive searches and investigations, no concrete leads emerged immediately. A year later, a mysterious phone call to law enforcement, allegedly from Anthonette herself, claimed she was being held against her will, but the call was disconnected before it could be traced. In the years following her disappearance, various leads and tips surfaced, including eyewitness accounts and a reported sighting of a girl matching Anthonette's description with a couple in Nevada. However, these clues failed to lead to her recovery. The case remains unsolved, and Anthonette is still listed as missing. Her story has become emblematic of the many missing and murdered Indigenous women in the U.S., highlighting systemic challenges in investigating such cases. Despite the passage of decades, her family and community continue to seek answers and justice. In September 2021, Daniel Robinson, a geologist, went missing in Arizona in June 2021. Despite these efforts, his whereabouts remained unknown as of my last update. The circumstances surrounding Daniel Robinson's disappearance remained mysterious, and investigators were looking into various leads and possibilities. This classic episode documents the tale or a rich girl in love with a poor farm boy, and an egotistical wealthy father that wants to stand between them. Why? Because rich people - are evil - especially in a comic TV series. (As a side note, the evil rich father is played by Alan Alda's father!) The Dukes help the girl out to marry her farm boy Fred, thanks to the Joe Dirt bridge, and in the process of it all end up killing Daisy's 74 Road Runner…which by this point's isn't actually a '74 Road Runner at all. It's replaced by a brand new product placement white Jeep Renegade named Dixie. This is a fantastic episode for stunts, shoddy hiding of car effects, sped up and slowed down car chase footage, and again - unrequited T&A. 9 Corndogs!

On June 23rd, 2021, 24-year-old Daniel Robinson was enjoying his dream job working for an engineering company at a remote job site in an Arizona desert. It was raining that morning, so he and his co-worker would have to wait for the weather to clear up before they could start. For some unknown reason, Daniel decided not to wait. He got into his 2017 blue-grey Jeep Renegade and took off - never to be seen again.About a month later, his vehicle would be found wrecked in a ravine only a few miles away from his work site. Inside was his wallet, laptop, cell phone, and a whole case of bottled water - but no sign of Daniel. The police would conclude this to be a missing person's case - nothing criminal, but after hiring a vehicle collision expert who reported the jeep had been moved after the crash, Daniel's father believes a crime may have occurred. It has been over two years since Daniel drove out into the desert never to return and his family says there is cause to have his missing person's case turned into a criminal investigation. Jeep drops the Renegade, a lousy Jeep based on the lousy Fiat 500L. We're *very* glad to see it die. Trauma surgeon Stephan Moran talks about how distracted pedestrians contribute to pede-cyclists deaths. Dr Moran introduces his, "pede-cyclist fatality risk duality coefficient". Yes, we're trademarking it. We spot a 2002 Jaguar S-type sedan. We think it either killed Jaguar or contributed significantly to Jaguar's death. For the record, we are aware that Jaguar isn't dead, but, honestly, Jaguar in 2023 is a zombie brand. We discuss and then list our favorite Jaguars of all time. #carsoncallpodcast #steveautos #jaguarusa #jaguarhistory #traumasurgery #traumasurgeon #traumasurgeonsafety #jaguarstype #jeeprenegade

Sons of Speed Publisher Paul Herrold sits in for Jill this week. Paul and Tom opened the show talking about the discontinued Fiat 500X and related Jeep Renegade small crossovers. Tom asked Paul if he thought Jeep's recent sales decline came—at least in part—as a result of the brand's small, too-conventional crossovers, such as the Renegade, Compass, and Cherokee. Paul talked about four new Sons of Speed videos available for viewing at WeAreMotorDrive.com. The videos feature lap time at Road America race track, and include the Toyota GR Corolla, Volkswagen GTI, BMW M2, and Toyota Supra. Following up on Jill's EV charging issues from a week earlier, Tom shared a tale of similar frustration, including broken Evgo charging units—which were listed as operational on the provider's app—and Electrify America's over-hyped “Super Fast” charging. In the second segment Paul and Tom welcome Ram Communications Manager Trevor Dorchies to the show. Trevor updated the hosts on product in the Ram pipeline, including the redesigned 1500 pickup, the RAM REV electric pickup, and the extended-range plug-in-hybrid Ram Ramcharger. Also discussed is the new, ultra-luxury Ram 1500 Tungsten. In the last segment Paul is subjected to Tom's “Best Mileage” quiz, which includes a surprising Burger King bonus question. The hosts wrapped up the show by discussing why Tom's test vehicle, the 2024 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro, makes Tom want to shoot a water buffalo.

Steve G joins Sober.Coffee at a table for three and gives us a glimpse into his life and how he found sobriety. A sneak peek - it took losing everything over a 20 month period, being homeless and living in the back of a Jeep Renegade, then finding himself in a surprise intervention to get Steve on the path to recovery. Now, 30 years sober, Steve still goes to a lot of meetings. Why? Because nothing will so much ensure immunity from drinking as intense work with other alcoholics. Besides sponsoring others, going to meetings, and being available to meet for coffee - Steve focuses on sober living, and is the Executive Director for RCOSA, a sober living community in Chicago. If you know someone who needs to hear this episode, share it with them!Mentioned in this episode:RCOSA: https://www.rcosa.org/Blue October Home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJTMBGFJVkk&feature=youtu.beFor more about this podcast:Visit Sober.Coffee website: https://www.sober.coffeeSober.Coffee on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sober.coffeepodcast/Recorded at Audiohive Podcasting: https://www.audiohivepodcasting.comIn collaboration with Care Addiction Center: https://www.careaddiction.com

Geologist Daniel Robinson drives away from his worksite west of Phoenix, Arizona, and is never seen again. David Robinson, who lives in South Carolina, has been in Arizona leading searches himself after his son's Jeep was found by a rancher found. The blue, 2017 Jeep Renegade was discovered in a remote, shallow ravine on his property, rolled over and on its side. The vehicle's airbags were deployed, and authorities said the evidence shows that Robinson was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The rancher, who runs cattle in the area, says the vehicle was not there just three days before. The private detective hired by Robinson's father, David, says he believes the crash “looked like a stage event to me.” Data shows after the airbags deployed, someone turned the Jeep's ignition over at least 46 more times.
