Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including: WPIAL is in Hershey Park for the High School Football State Championships. In PGA news, the Hero World Challenge was fun to watch. The Hero World Challenge saw the best pros in the world. John Rahm was the winner at Albany in Nassau Bahamas. Tiger Woods finished 2nd to last in his own tournament at +1. There are no more PGA events the rest of the year. PGA action will pick back up when they start their Hawaii Swing at Kapalua Plantation Course the first weekend in January. The Riverhounds sold Christiano Francois' contract to Ottawa Fury FC. The Riverhounds signed defender, Ryan James. While the season is over, Riverhounds pre-season starts February 10th, with regular season play in March. The Penguins traded Daniel Sprong to the Ducks for Marcus Pettersson. The Penguins are searching for their identity right now. The Pens are 10-10-5 and find themselves 6th in the division at this point. Recent losses against the Avalanche and the Flyers have the Penguins on their heels. The Simmonds and Oleksiak fight was great - one of the best we've seen in a bit. Tom Wilson had another BS hit on Brett Seney of the Devils. He is a constant offender and should have gotten the 42-game suspension. Seattle gets awarded an NHL team to balance out the conference and gives Vancouver a natural rival. The new Seattle team begins play in the 2021-22 season. Pitt got BLOWN OUT in the ACC Championship game. We take a rundown of the Bowl previews. Steelers have some shake-ups in the line-up due to injuries. We're expecting a boomerang from James Washington after being benched against the Chargers. Bruce Grobbelaar is a former Zimbabwe international footballer who is most known for his time at Liverpool FC between 1981 and 1994. Born in South Africa, Grobbelaar grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), before moving to Canada and the Vancouver Whitecaps of the NASL in 1979. He gained Liverpool's attention during a loan spell at Crewe Alexandra during the 1979–80 season, and signed for the club in 1981. Making 628 appearances for Liverpool over the next 13 years, including 440 in the League, he won the League championship with the club six times, as well as three FA Cups, three League Cups and the 1983–84 European Cup. Grobbelaar left Liverpool for Southampton in 1994, transferred to Plymouth Argyle two years later, and thereafter played for an assortment of English lower-league teams, never for more than a few games. He is currently the Goalkeeper Coach for Ottawa Fury FC of the North American Soccer League since 2014. In this episode, Bruce takes us through his life and career journey from his early days in the Rhodesian army during the Bush War to becoming one of the most iconic players of Liverpool FC and the English League.
