Episode 1992: Our random article of the day is 1981–82 English League South season.
It's FRIDAY baby, and you have earned a beer or three with us this week! A manager was fired, but to Kelly's disappointment, it wasn't Brendan Rodgers. Bruno and Wolves part ways after their lost to West Ham at the weekend drops them into the relegation zone. Three hat-tricks and three red cards grace the weekend, and Kelly and Gordon pay dearly for it. Three shots and beers to boot cause all sorts of mayhem this week, to the hosts, to the script, and to the weekend prediction. One in which Kelly not only predicts the score line of the Forest Villa game, but also an on field display of passion. Also below is the full read out of Graham's history piece. Check it out! Midlands Derby – Well actually Villa is located in the West Midlands and as a district inside the city of Birmingham you would think that their natural rival would be Birmingham City butactually their biggest rivalry of all seems to be with West Bromwich Albion. On the other handNottingham Forest identify themselves as an East Midlands team and their biggest rivalry iswith Derby County, Leicester and obviously their next door neighbors Notts County whosehome ground is actually less than 300 yards away from their own City Ground. Which happens to be the shortest distance between two English professional teams. So how about the rivalry between the Aston Martin race car and the Raleigh Bicycle. I havealways assumed that Aston Martin cars were constructed in the midlands but it turns out thatthe Aston in Aston Martin refers to a testing track on Aston Hill which is located closer toLondon than Birmingham… Shows how little I know about history although I am correctregarding Nottingham and the Raleigh Bicycle. I understand that during the 50's, 60's and 70'sninety-five percent of bicycles sold in the US originated in Nottingham. So why did I get excited when I first saw this fixture for this weekend? Well for me I was mostactive as a football fan during the late 70's and early 80's when English sides dominated Europe. The Big Four of the day were Forest, Villa, Leeds and Liverpool. You could argue that they werethe Big Four in Europe and not just England. In the eleven seasons from 74/75 through 84/85those four English sides made it to nine European Cup (Champions League) finals whichincluded back to back winners Forest in 1979 & 80 and Villa 1982. Leeds were beaten finalist in'75 Liverpool made up the other 5 final appearances' winning 4 and losing just the one. Both Villa and Forest have also won the European Super Cup – Forest twice and Villa once a featthat not many English teams can claim. Forest has won the English League once and the FA Cup twice to go along with their twoEuropean Championships while Villa have been crowned English League champions on 7occasions to add to their 7 FA Cups trophies so between them there has been quite a haul ofsilverware. So I was a little surprised and even disappointed that there was not a juicier back story to comeout of this particular fixture although on September 11 th 2016 Aston Villa tied 2-2 withNottingham Forest in the Championship, the second tier of English football and what wasspecial about this particular game? Well it was the very first time that two former EuropeanChampions have met in a second tier league game anywhere in Europe and even though theyplayed each other a further five times in the EFL Championship they are still the only twoformer European Champions to have played against each other EVER in the second tier.

Pennyworth Season 2 Episode 9 Synopsis Episode Written by: Hannah Boschi Episode Directed By: Rob Bailey With less than 48 hours to go until the English League surrender or face annihilation from the detonation of a Storm Cloud device over London, Alfie, Thomas and Martha concoct a plan to infiltrate Raven Union HQ with Daveboy and Lucius to steal project Stormcloud. As the boys enter the mouth of the dragon their plan goes wrong and they are captured, beaten and imprisoned. While Lucius, Daveboy and Thomas languish in their cells, Alfie is reintroduced to his tea-trolly father who tries to persuade him to join the Raven Union side. Failing to convince Alfie, Salt informs Mr Pennyworth that they will enact Plan B - Deception. Back in their cells, they have a fortuitous encounter with Bet, Peggy and Vicki Du French who have rescued Frances Gaunt. As Bet and the girls make their way to Salt's living quarters, Alfie and the boys attempt to escape again and fail. The end is here as we reach the Pennyworth Season 2 Finale. Episode 10 The Lion and Lamb establishes a new normal for the show along with a surprising addition to the Batverse. Full Spoilers follow in our chat about the episode. Pennyworth Season 2 Finale: Episode 10 Synopsis Episode Written by: Bruno Heller Episode Directed By: Rob Bailey With the recovered vial of Storm Cloud in hand, Alfie, Lucius, Daveboy and Thomas along with his father drive back to London in triumph. As Alfie returns to tell his mother of his dad's survival and Storm Cloud is taken to the English League all is not quite as triumphant as they appear. Gully Troy is looking for Alfie, his father has something to hide and the vial containing Storm Cloud is a fake! At Raven Union headquarters John Salt rejects the League's unconditional surrender after they discover his ruse and he makes his way up to his penthouse ready to unleash the real Storm Cloud safely positioned in London ready for detonation. Back in London, with all hope lost, some try and make a run for it while Thomas and Martha say yes and ask Aziz to marry them. Meanwhile, back at Alfie's home, Mrs Pennyworth is shocked to see her husband but finds it in her heart to forgive him. However, the atmosphere is uncomfortable and tense and things get worse when Alfie learns of his father's involvement in the Raven Union's deception. Upset and angry Alfie's home truths to his father and some words from his wife convince him to reveal the location of Storm Cloud in Lord Harwood's coffin. As they race against time to defuse the bomb they are helped when Salt runs into the fists and boots of Bet and Peggy Sykes back at Raven Union HQ, but Salt manages to push the trigger but is arrested by the army and Fracis Gaunt resumes leadership of the Raven Union. In London Storm Cloud activates but “quick” thinking sees Gully swallow the capsule preventing a devastating detonation, but unfortunately for Gully it detonates in his stomach. Six months later as the Raven Union launches it's final assault on London, Martha gives birth to a girl and the English League, led by Alfie and Bet Sykes, unleash a new weapon on the Raven Union forces.
