We learn that generosity is a product of our gratitude for the mercy God has shown us. Dr. Loritts also teaches us that the pathway to our provision is through generosity. It not only honors God and those around us but it changes the fabric of who we are. We give, not to get in return, but so that we may be given more to share through generosity.

It is by faith we follow God and Abraham was a perfect example of this. Pastor Dan Watson walks us through Hebrews 11, showing us that Abraham understood the power of knowing God's voice despite not being raised to know who God was. We can look to Abraham as a shining example that circumstances are not a reflection of God's character and that we can prevent ourselves from losing sight on God's goodness by looking back at all God has done in our lives. — If you are interested in participating in Above + Beyond or looking for more information, check out the information here: https://passioncitychurch.com/above-and-beyond/

How is your soul, your joy, in the valley? A surprising amount of the Bible is devoted to addressing anxiety and how to overcome it. This reflects an ancient yet modern problem: how to navigate life's valleys. The surprising solution is worth exploring in a series of messages and perhaps even a lifetime of pursuit. On today's Friday edition, we chat with Kristian Stanfill of Passion Music! From its start in 1995 Passion has been rooted in the truth of Isaiah 26:8 – “Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and Your renown are the desire of our hearts” - existing to glorify God by uniting students in worship, prayer and justice for spiritual awakening in this generation. Passion believes that worship and justice go hand in hand, so students arrive ready to give. They give toward the END IT Movement, fighting against modern day slavery and this year Passion also called students to give toward Share Light – a campaign to see the Bible translated into the 6,000 known languages of the world during this generation's lifetime. Passion has encountered millions of students and 18-25 year-olds, young people whose lives have been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.   One of the most impactful and stirring aspects of the movement founded by Louie and Shelley Giglio has been the sea of voices uniting together to lift up the name of Jesus. Passion, currently helmed by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone, has ushered in the writing, recording and leading of some of the most recognizable and unforgettable worship anthems of this generation. Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Crowder, Christy Nockels and more have also lent their voices alongside Passion throughout the years.   With more than 2 million units sold and a multitude of chart-topping singles such as “Glorious Day,” “Build My Life,” “God, You're So Good,” “How Great Is Our God,” “God Of This City,” “One Thing Remains,” “Even So Come,” and “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” listeners across the world continue to be impacted by the music of Passion. But today God wants to clear up our common misconceptions and help us enter this process with joy. Open your heart to the kindness of Jesus and allow him to give you rest. Melodie Malone from Passion Music is with us today. We are sharing how worship can bring us through hard times. Passion is a movement founded by Louie and Shelley Giglio in 1995, Passion has been rooted in the truth of Isaiah 26:8 – “Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and Your renown are the desire of our hearts” - existing to glorify God by uniting students in worship, prayer, and justice for spiritual awakening in this generation. Passion has ushered in the writing, recording, and leading of some of the most recognizable and unforgettable worship anthems of this generation and is currently helmed by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker, and Melodie Malone. Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Crowder, Christy Nockels and more have also lent their voices alongside Passion throughout the years.   With more than two million units sold and a multitude of chart-topping singles such as “Glorious Day,” “Build My Life,” “God, You're So Good,” “How Great Is Our God,” “God Of This City,” “One Thing Remains,” “Even So Come,” and “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” listeners across the world continue to be impacted by the music of Passion. They have more than two billion album streams total, and their most recent release, Follow You Anywhere, has more than 47 million global streams alone.

No piano on Earth embodies the "City of Music" more than Bösendorfer. Today the tradition thrives, as innovation beautifully enhances this great instrument. Sabine Grubmüller, Managing Director of Bösendorfer, generously took time to talk about all-things-Bösendorfer: the history, the artists, the innovation, the factory, the vision. To all the moms out there: I appreciate, respect, and cherish you!   It is through you that I found inspiration to launch my monthly podcast Moms With Passion And Purpose, as an extention of my current All About You podcast.     Meet Kimberly Dawn. She is one of those women in my community that many look to for inspiration. Kim exemplifies a woman with passion. She finds drive in her music while leading a purposeful life in our community of Westlake Village, California. She is constantly looking out for others; whether it be participating in charity work with Casa Pacifica, lending a helping hand in school functions, or offering support for members of our community. Kim always leaves a lasting impression with her generous heart.   She is a loving wife, incredible mother, and an extraordinarily devoted friend to her tribe of women.  In this episode, Kim shares how she manages to find time in her busy, often chaotic life to stay true to her passion of being a songstress. If you want to know how she does it all: writing, performing, traveling, and manifesting a life that we all might be a little envious of, she lays it all out on the table in All About You.   When I first got a peek into her sacred, creative space, it opened up a new level of fascination in me. If you get a glimpse in her closet, you’re likely to feel that way too. In Kim’s words, she lives in her “Barbie dream mansion” that she manifested as a little girl.  We can all learn how to have more balance in our lives with grace and ease and Kimberly Dawn has mastered that skill. It was such a pleasure and so much fun to spend time in her beautiful home, recording study and dreamy closet. We both have four kids and are on a mission to help others. I adore this beautiful woman and I know you will too.

In a world filled with distraction, sin and trauma, how many “things” a day would you say you think on that are excellent and praiseworthy? If you are anything like Sara, focusing on the negative is so much easier than on the positive. But in her studies this week, she was reminded of a small scene in Peter Pan that is so appropriate: Peter is in the children's bedroom; they have seen him fly; and they wish to fly too. They have tried it from the floor and they have tried it from the beds and the result is failure. "How do you do it?" John asked. And Peter answered: "You just think lovely, wonderful thoughts and they lift you up in the air."That sentiment is a little sappy but it also contains a measure of truth. The only way to defeat evil thoughts is to learn to think differently.BE IN THE WORD:"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things." (Philippians 4:8)BE EDUCATED:1. Think On These Things An article that breaks down each of the words Paul instructs us to think on. 2. The Perfect You author Dr. Caroline Leaf. We have incredible minds that are truly worth celebrating. We must also remember, however, that with the incredible power in our minds come responsibility for how we use it: we cannot escape the consequences of our choices.3. Bigger Than I Thought You Were by Passion Music. This is the song Monica talks about. BE DOERS, NOT JUST HEARERS:“You are special. You are unique. You have a particular way of thinking, feeling, and choosing that acts like a filter through which you experience reality. It shapes the worldview you build into your mind, which in turn shapes your future thoughts, feelings, words and behavior. If this filter is broken, your perception of reality can become distorted. If you are bitter or have low self-esteem, for example, your world view can become clouded by toxic thinking, which in turn shapes your mindset and actions…trauma and sin can interrupt your design.” (Dr. Caroline Leaf)Do you know you? How well do you know yourself? Your personality? Your natural tendencies? Is your filter broken? What has happened to you that you might be hanging onto aware or unaware that is distorting your reality? “It is important to remember that thoughts are made into habits through deliberate, repeated, and conscious cognitive thinking. This type of thinking has to occur for a minimum of 3 cycles of 21 days in order for the true understanding to take place.”Are you trying to develop new ways of thinking? What deliberate strategies have you put into place in order to change your way of thinking? “To ensure that we stay in our Perfect You and correctly respond to the circumstances of everyday life, we need to train ourselves to consult with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. We can ask the Holy Spirit to help us renew our mindsets and teach us how to react and behave. The Holy Spirit will guide us, if we choose to listen to him, and show us the correct way to ‘consciously veto’ our thinking, feeling and choosing. In this way, we fulfill the requirements of Scripture to constantly pray.”Do you call upon the Lord, upon the Holy Spirit to help you grow and change the areas of your life you know is

Jordan Thomas is an amazingly talented young man based in Bakersfield California. Jordan is the author of three books and his most recent book is Create, Execute, Repeat – Leveraging Creativity in Business & Life.  But here’s something really cool about Jordan, he’s only 20 years of age and is currently study Business Administration at California State University in San Bernardino? Three books already at 20 years of age…Amazing! Greg Walker, author of DREAM TO GROW RICH, sums Jordan Thomas up perfectly; HE’S A MILLENNIAL THAT UNDERSTANDS LIFE. Passion Music was Jordan’s first passion and he began signing when he was five years of age and began writing his own music when he was seven years of age. So far he has written three books, two poetry books and one business book, so it’s proof that business and creativity can obviously coexist. Innovation Many people see business as being, stiff, boring and constrictive, however many people miss a key element of true business success; innovation. In business you do not have to act or think a certain way anymore. Technology has changed all this. The purpose of being in business is to expand your thoughts and to open your mind, but at the same time don’t be foolish. It’s really important to make sure your choose the right career path. The root of your fruit What we produce, the content we create is our fruit and it’s about progress, not perfection. It’s important to not over-stress and try to please everyone. It’s also important to not compare your life to other people and what they have achieved. What we see on social media is not realty, therefore our perception is not always right. Creativity In Jordan’s book it’s about understanding how the creative mind works, not so much about having a creative mind. Your creativity is affected by many factors. Who you surround yourself with is extremely important. Success breeds success.  Life is not about entertaining it’s about edifying. Be a Go Giver You always here about people who are go-getters, those that are willing to go out there and get what they want, but it’s more important to be a go-giver. In life you should be trying to give, not always trying to get.   Execution There are three C’s to execution: Change, Confidence and Christ and when you’re confident you’re more willing to change. Jordan’s new Blog address www.impactoverincome.wordpress.com Jordan’s goal is to make an impact in life, that’s what matters in the end. Income is important, but impacting others is far more important. Joy over happiness Joy is a constant state of mind, whereas happiness is a fleeting moment. Joy is long-term and it’s far more important than happiness. It’s all about your priorities in life. Ask yourself today…What is important? FACEBOOK: Jordan Thomas Jordan’s Book: Create, Execute, Repeat is available at all online bookstores.
