"The Charmings" was an ABC sitcom that aired from 1987-1988. The show followed the adventures of Snow White and Prince Charming, who after a thousand year spell found themselves in 20th-century Los Angeles. Along with their two sons, the wicked stepmother Lillian, and a wisecracking Magic Mirror, they tried to adapt to modern life while clashing with contemporary norms. While some viewers appreciated "The Charmings" quirky premise, it struggled to find a consistent audience. Additionally, there were complaints from Disney about the unauthorized parody of Snow White which may have contributed to its challenges. Ultimately, low ratings led to its cancellation after two seasons. While the S1E1 boys enjoy this fairy tale turned sitcom? Listen as they deep dive the show's pilot episode. Write us we would like to hear from you Prepare to plunge into a reimagined, atmospheric adaptation of Jules Verne's classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, crafted in the brooding style with cinematic flair. This is not just a journey beneath the waves—it's a descent into the human soul. Join Professor Aronnax, his loyal servant Conseil, and the brash harpooner Ned Land as they are swept aboard the enigmatic Nautilus, a submarine unlike any other, captained by the brilliant yet tormented Captain Nemo. Trapped within its iron confines, they are drawn into Nemo's obsessive quest for freedom from a corrupt world above—a quest that spirals into vengeance, tragedy, and a confrontation with the unfathomable power of the sea. From breathtaking wonders of the deep to the haunting isolation of the abyss, this adaptation explores themes of freedom, captivity, and the price of defiance. With relentless action, vivid characters, and a chilling climax in the heart of a raging maelstrom, this is a journey that will leave you questioning: can we ever escape the weight of our own choices?"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Tom Konkle, bidding you goodnight from the shadowy corridors of the mind, where stories are told and dreams are shaped into the sounds you've just heard. Tonight's production has been a humble offering from the Mindstream Players Radio Reborn Podcast—our attempt to bring you the extraordinary, the macabre, the moving, and the marvelous.I wanted to do an adaption of this Jules Verne classic but honor it by having a new take on it as a moody, introspective fever dream. Audio fiction leads itself to such things and so I began this tale. But of course, no such endeavor is truly the work of one man. For tonight's voyage into the theater of the mind, I owe my deepest thanks to my dear and talented friends: Vernon Wells as Nemo, Tom Konkle as Professor Aronnax, David Beeler as Ned, Paul Eiding as Conseil, with Pete Lutz, Larry Groebe, Kurtis Bedford Jack Ward, and my own son, Sean Konkle. Their voices have lent life to the characters that moved and breathed within this little world we built together. As always, the writing adaption, the music, the editing, and the direction—such as it is—are mine. A pleasure, as ever, to weave the tale. But the magic is yours, dear listeners. You make these stories live, simply by hearing them. And so, until next time, we leave you here—between the ticking seconds, the fading echoes, and the whisper of dreams yet untold. I remain, as always, your obedient servant, Tom Konkle. GoodnightSupport the show Lumen Actus Productions, Inc.

Besides telling us about his time in Trek, Paul explains how his time in the army led him towards acting, being a clown and improv performer, what he learned from Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop, and how a chance meeting with Gordon Hunt changed the course of his career and brought him into the world of animation. The OCRemix that I talked about is called "The Sin War". Unfortunately, it seems that the track was removed from OCRemix for not technically being a remix of music from the game. While the narrations are genuinely in-game audio, the instrumentation is an original composition not from the game, so it "didn't count" as a real OCRemix. However, there's a project called OCRemoved which archives songs that have been removed from OCRemix, and you can still get the mp3 by clicking Here. Since it's not an official OCRemix any more with a nice YouTube link, I did end up putting the whole thing on the end of this episode, despite what I say during the show. I did quickly balance down the audio level a bit so that it better matches the level of the rest of the show and I don't blast out your ears. If you get the MP3 from the link it'll be a louder version. Also... how do you imagine your Transformers collections will look by this point? Do you think you’ll have pretty much everything you want and you’ll be close to finishing your collections or is that still a long way off? Can you ever see yourselves “complete and finished” If so, what next? Do you close the curtain on your collections and move on to something else or do you continue to replace the older figures with the new and improved versions if companies still keep making them? Hope you had a blast at retro con, Mike and Vanessa your costumes looked awesome. Shout out to all the family in the extended BSU (Blackout & Shout Universe) including all the four legged ones...Oh and err.. FUJB Tyler: Can you ask Vanessa if Mike is okay? Also, is nostalgia what drives your collection or are you in it for the love of toys? I got to thinking earlier this week about the types of figures I collect and the reasons behind it. It's from Nostalgia that I collect Beast Wars, but I've discovered an affinity for many new lines from different fictions like Gears Of War, Starship Troopers and those new JoyToy figures that are made in the spirit of the Titanfall games. Are there any newer franchises that interest you enough to collect them or is it strictly a hobby reserved for nostalgia? Love the show, even you still Mike. Caught up with one of our best comic con friends, Paul Eiding, to chat about his latest projects!! Chatted about his voice acting role as Reflux in Incredibles 2, working with his family and theatre friends to make massively viral videos (and fund raise for LA park conservation projects!), and the highs and lows of his venture into the world of comic book writing on Blastosaurus, with New Zealand artist, Richard Fairgray. We also spoke briefly about his voice acting role as Perceptor in the original Transformers cartoons, as Grandpa Max on Ben 10, and his work in video games such as Snake from Metal Gear Solid, the 'Vault-Tec' guy from Fallout, the 'arrow to the knee' guy from Skyrim, the 'construct additional pylons' guy from Starcraft etc etc etc (too many to mention in one pod!). Forgot to chat about his role as Pa Kent in upcoming DC animated movie The Death of Superman... oops, hopefully he will let us call him back another time soon!! Was lovely to catch up, and we very much appreciated Paul taking time out of his busy schedule to chat to us about all his exciting creative projects!!  Paul's IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0251646/ Paul's Twitter: https://twitter.com/4pauleiding?lang=en Paul's Official Fan Page (ATTN: viral videos posted here): https://www.facebook.com/officialpauleiding/ Ask at your local (Aussie) comic book shop about adding the latest Blastosaurus Comics to your pull list... http://www.acecomics.com.au/blastosaurus-0 A prequel issue of the all-new series that was New Zealand's top-selling indy comic for the last 10 years! The story set up the full series and gives readers insights into the unique relationship between a mutant triceratops and two little kids. Together they battle and befriend an octopus and a ghost, save a man and everyone in Freak Out City from a newly opened alien portal. It's just another day in the life of our detective hero, Blastosaurus!
