We want our live to be filled with love, we want to know we matter to others, and we want others to know we love them. How do we become people who are known for loving others? We get to look to the example that Jesus set for us, to be people who love radically.

Friendships and the people that surround us are some of the most important things in our lives. In fact, even through recent studies we can see that loneliness negatively affects our health. However this doesn't mean we should surround ourselves with whoever we can, we should seek out and surround ourselves with Godly friendships and relationships. Surround ourselves with people who will encourage and challenge us.

We have been given the ability to create, we've been given a blank canvas despite our surrounding circumstances. God has gifted us with our lives and now it's time we ask ourselves, what kind of life do you want to create?

We're continuing with the idea of going beyond, and seeing how Jesus life and example directly plays a role in that. Letting go, and letting Jesus take the lead, we go beyond what we thought possible.
It's time for us to step outside our comfort zones and trust in God to take us "Beyond" what we think is possible. It's time to have faith in a life beyond our dreams , to let go of control in certain aspects of our lives, and to rely on God's wisdom. To go beyond we need to let go and surrender to see what God can do in our lives.

We all have families full of imperfections, hurts, and drama. We have fights, beef, and feuds with the people we were meant to be closest to. It's time to apply what God teaches to our familial relationships; apply his principles and wisdom so we can reach healthy relationships. The health we have with family impacts all areas of our lives present and future.

We get so focused on the things around us that we lose focus on Jesus, on the one who can actually help us. Let's direct our eyes from the circumstances around us and place them on him.
We are diving into a time of evaluating our lives and the way we're choosing to live them. Are we being carried by the flow or the motions letting life decide for us? Or are we making smart, intentional choices to truly live a life full of love and joy. Join us as we explore this.
We always are told by others what God is speaking or saying to them, but what does that even mean? How does one hear God, and is there more to it than just hearing him? Join us as we dive into what it all means in the Art of Hearing.

We all fall victim to our own excuses, we justify staying stuck where we are or not changing. It's time for all of us to let go of the excuses that keep us from having the full life God promised us. There's so much more to this, but we've got to stop holding ourselves back.
For episode 71, we have Sergio Torres, Co-Founder & CEO at Alvva, a FinTech startup helping immigrants pay for their immigration applications! What's really interesting about Alvva is that it enables immigrants to pay for their immigration applications while also helping them build their credit at the same time, which is important because traditional financing options are often unavailable to immigrants. As for Sergio, he was born and grew up in San Diego, and spend his life going back and forth across the US / Mexico border. His father was born in the US, and his mother was born in Mexico, so he experienced many of the challenges immigrants face when moving to and settling in a new country. After a long career in the financial services industry, he married his professional experience with his personal family immigration experience to launch Alvva. So, here's what Sergio and I are going to be talking about: Sergio's personal immigration story from Mexico to the US How Sergio got into financial services and what he learned over 15 years in the industry How the idea for Alvva came about, and Sergio's first steps How Alvva works, where the company is today and where it's going Sergio's thoughts on how technology can help immigrants And more! Join us in celebrating this Easter and what Jesus did for us. To acknowledge the full power of what He did for us and what He's still doing for us, we have to also acknowledge the darkness. The complete picture of Jesus' resurrection requires us to recognize what He overcame and what He's bringing us into.
This month we're talking about the essentials of life. The things that are absolutely necessary to have. We know all the basic ones like food, air, and water; and we know some others like friendships, clothing, etc. But there's one that often gets overlooked, Jesus. Jesus is actually the most essential thing for our lives, join us as we explore why.
Why should I do dating differently? Why should I have Godly relationships? Tell me why. There are a million ways to do things, which can lead us to question how can this one way, God's way, be better. Join us as we dive into why His way is better than anything we could do on our own. There is a better way to do marriage, dating, and singleness.

Aren't you tired of trying to do things your way and it just not working out? Why do we keep trying the same strategies or life hacks over and over, knowing good and well it won't work? We all need to try another way, a better way. Stop trying to handle everything on your own. Give it up and look to the one person who can actually help, look to God.

Celebrate the end of 2022 with gratitude, and the prepare for the New Year, 2023, with a heart of surrender.
This month we celebrate the birth of Jesus, probably the most unexpected birth in history. As we celebrate we dive into how God operates in so many ways that defy our expectations. How he uses the unexpected moments of life to teach us and draw us to him. It's time we recognize that God isn't always going to work in the way we think he is and grow comfortable in a life of faith and trust.

What will your life amount to? In the generations after you what will be your impact? In this series, we tackle the important question of Legacy. To live for more than just the now, but generations and generations to come. It's time to build your legacy.
Debt, inflation, gas prices, shortages, etc. We're pretty sure there is something in there that causes you some stress and comes to take away your peace. But how often do we make rational decisions in response? It's more than likely that in response to these stresses we do the nonsensical thing like stress eating some fast food, retail therapy, online shopping (Amazon prime anybody?), or some other habit that costs money we don't have. We effectively hand our peace away. Join us this month as we address this topic and what to do instead, so we can keep our peace.
