While holding in an occasional fart is unlikely to cause any lasting harm, doing so frequently can lead to some uncomfortable and potentially bothersome side effects. Here's what happens when you hold in a fart: Increased pressure: The gas gets trapped in your intestines, which can cause bloating, cramping, and pain. Discomfort: The pressure can also make it difficult to breathe and move around comfortably. Belching: Some of the gas may travel back up your esophagus and out of your mouth, causing belching. Diverticulitis: In rare cases, chronically holding in farts may contribute to the development of diverticulitis, a condition that causes inflammation in the pouches in your colon. It's important to note that there is no evidence that holding in farts can lead to serious health problems. However, it's generally best to let them out when you can to avoid discomfort and potential complications. If you're concerned about excessive gas, talk to your doctor. They can help you identify the underlying cause and recommend treatment options. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/moodkillers/message

Accountability partners are individuals who are willing to hold you accountable. The idea is that, once someone other than yourself knows what you need to do or what you want to achieve, there is a greater incentive to go out and do it to avoid having to explain why you didn't to another person. In this episode, we're discussing why having an accountability partner is great for pushing you towards your goals and keeping you on track, what qualities to look for in an accountability partner and telling you our personal stories and experiences of us both being accountability partners for each other on this podcast. Party Favorz is back with volume three of the Ultimate 90's House Classics [1998 - 1999] and this set dives deep into progressive territory. We kick the party off with one of our all-time favorties 'Lately' by Divine with Joanathan Peters performing remix duties. With it's ubeat synths and fantstic harmonies — 'Lately' packed floor every time it dropped. Of course all the club favorites from this era are here like Faith Hill's 'Breathe' and the sweeping Hex Hector accompanying remix, 'Sexual' by Amber (a Thunderpuss instant classic), 'I Will Go With You' by Donna Summer that was packaged with the some of the biggest name DJs from that period, 'Someone To Hold' by Veronica showcasing Johnny Vicious' versatility who would go on to be an in demand DJ in the early millennium, Whitney Houston's defiant 'It's Not Right, But It's Okay' (another Thunderpuss instant classic that takes the R&B original and jacks it up by a factor of 100 while blowing a hole in the roof with Whitney's powerful vocals - thank you Clive) and the massive 'You're Still the One' by Shania Twain courtesy of Soul Solution. Some of you may be looking at this track list and scratching your heads over the inclusion of 'Ojos Asi' by Shakira. I grew up in South Texas and the Columbian born singer was already a massive star through Central America, Mexico and various pockets of the United States with large Latino populations. The song has a strong middle eastern sound and was not like anything else on her fourth album the critically acclaimed and multi-platnium 'Dónde Están los Ladrones? It was tacked on to what was otherwise a more rock and acoustic album that elicited comparisons to Alanis Morissette. Once the video dropped for 'Ojos Asi' all bets were off. The song blew up and Shakria had arrived. Under the tutelage of Emilio Estefan (husban of Gloria Estefan), Shakira was primed to cross over into the American market and it would be two years before she dropped her first English language album 'Laundry Service' in the states. The remix for 'Ojos Asi' is often credited to Thunderpuss but was actually Pablo Flores who was also producer on her album. The song was an instant floorfiller upon its release in 1999 and frankly, fits in nicely with the tracks that surround it. Before there was Todrick Hall or Lil Nas X — there was Kevin Aviance. 'Rhythm Is My Bitch' was his second of three #1 dance club hits, which followed his 80's remake 'Din Da Da' and was proceeded by 'Alive' in 2002 with two other top 5 releases 'Give It Up' and 'Strut.' He had a cameo in Madonna's 'Secret' video and has worked with Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston. He was also a member of the vogue-ball house 'House of Aviance' and was a gender bending leader who paved the path for others. Check out the video below: https://youtu.be/Nk7GilPqr1I I've still got two possibly three more sets to go in this series. I'm setting a goal of getting them all out this next week without sacraficing tracks or quality. It gets harder once you start getting to the bottom but I'm convinced I can work it out. Until the next time...ENJOY! Album : The Ultimate 90's House Classics [1998 – 1999] Vol. 3 Genre : 90's Classic House Year : 2021 Total Time : 3:30:12 1. Divine - Lately (Jonathan Peters Full Mix) 2. Marina is a doctor of Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She opened her office in Encinitas four months ago. She's grateful for the transformation it's given her. She's making enough to cover her costs, and her clients are referring even more clients. 01:42 Challenge: I still don't feel solid, stable, secure. I would like to create safety, but I know it takes time. I need to trust the process. I tend to be harsh on myself. 02:52 Brad: The feeling doesn't go away, there will always be swings, but you will get better at dealing with it. Life is inherently unstable, it's about your ability to cope with that. 03:15 Question: What does security and safety look like for you? 03:20 Marina: I want to be booked a month in advance. At this moment, people come, but it's unstable. 03:42 Question: What can you do to ensure you have more bookings? 03:51 Marina: I just realized that I need help. I've been feeling alone in this process. I'm doing it all myself. I don't have any support, and I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my creative vision. 04:18 Marina: I recognize that I cannot have a business coach because I have a lot of resistance to that. But I need help. So I'm trying to find the right solution, for me. 04:46 Marina: I need someone to keep me in check, to give me homework to do. 04:48 Brad: You said you're resisting getting a business coach, and you want to hire somebody from the Phillipines to market your local businesses. Can you walk us through some of these decisions? 05:05 Marina: All my marketing can be done from anywhere. 05:05 Brad: Theoretically. It doesn't mean people are good at it. It just means it's cheaper. 05:09 Question: What's the resistance around hiring a business coach? 05:12 Marina: It's ego. That I know better. 05:18 You gotta laugh at that, because we all do it, right? 05:23 Marina: I just know that I'm going to be resistant the whole time. So I do need a different approach. 05:29 I would challenge you on that. 05:32 Question: How long has this been an issue? 05:34 Marina: Since I was a child. 05:38 Question: How long have you not had a booked calendar? 05:42 Marina: I just opened in February, so it's been on and off for four months. 05:48 Brad: I just want to acknowledge that you were so scared to even make the investment originally. Now you're at a different level. You can pay your rent. But you want more. So why not double or triple down what you're already doing, then from that space of clarity - my intuition is that when you get to that place you'll find something wrong, too, but, for now, while you're here in this place, to get to that place double or triple down on your investment and energy. What you're doing seems to be working. 06:43 Marina: I'm considering taking a business loan, so I can go the next level in my marketing. But I don't have a clear vision on what that looks like. 06:50 Brad: Are you profitable right now? 06:52 Marina: I'm covering my costs and personal costs. I'm not saving anything. 07:08 Brad: So you're breaking even. How many business owners took years to get to break-even, let alone profitable? I know did. I burnt cash like crazy at first, because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. So, congratulations! 07:45 I heard something about you wanting to book people out a month in advance. Are you doing anything to make that happen now? 07:52 Marina: Yes, I sell packages. I recently increased my prices again. And it's been good, people still buy it. 08:02 But what about telling people to book a month in advance? Like, I'm booked out for the next month; start there. The first restaurant I opened in Napa, we told people we were fully booked for the first two weeks we were open. We were not fully booked. But it built a want and need to get in there. Then we couldn't even handle the demand. 08:28 Brad: Yeah, create scarcity. 08:29 It might take a month or so to build that momentum, but if you make it seem like you're so busy that you can't book somebody, people will want in. 08:42 Brad: Provided you actually deliver. If they had shown up to your restaurant, and nobody's there - 08:54 Brad: But the way you did it actually worked, because you knew you had a great product. People did show up. 09:00 Even if we're really good and we think we know what we're doing, there are blind spots that we have that other people can see. That's what a good business coach does, is helps you see your blind spots, helps you work through them, and holds you accountable. I think it's the accountability more than anything, is having somebody to report to. 09:15 You know probably 5-7 things that you need to do that you're probably not doing. It's true for all of us. The benefit of having a coach is having somebody that you're realistically rely on. 09:45 It's about accountability and it's about you doing things that you know you need to do. You can't do that for yourself. We're all incapable of hold ourselves to the standard that we really should be. 09:57 Brad: And our best thinking has only gotten us where we are. It won't get us were we want to go. 10:14 Marina: My whole life I've been disciplined. I don't understand why I'm not disciplined at this moment. 10:24 Marina: I should be strong. I should know what I'm doing. There's a resistance. Three key points: Your best thinking has only gotten you where you are. It won't get you where you want to be. A coach will hold you accountable. Create scarcity. If you want people to book a month out, tell them they have to.
Sergeant Mark Green served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 12 years. On his last deployment and upon his return home he was transitioned to the Army Warrior Transition Battalion where he underwent two surgeries and began his recovery. Encouraged to get up and out of his room by his cadre, Green began going to adaptive sports activities and was introduced to not only adaptive cycling, but now, Run For The Warriors Race Director, Robyn Womac, who at the time was the adaptive sports coordinator for the Battalion. Handcycling quickly became his outlet where he didn’t feel limited by his disability and gave him the opportunity to socialize. When he was faced with the news of having another surgery, Green was worried that he would have to give up his newfound passion. This was a fear Womac wouldn’t allow him to have. Not even a month after surgery, Womac moved Green from a recumbent bike to a handcycle that allowed him to still remain active despite his cast. The Porncast Season 2, Episode 6 Hosts: Chris Krotz & Jack Dodgen We talk about how to ask someone to hold you accountable. How do you have that awkward conversation? What are the steps? We answers these questions on the Porncast. Email your questions to: chris@wheniamweak.org
"I just need someone to hold me accountable." "If only there was a community where I could get advice…" "Let me tell you my plan…" Have these phrases ever passed your lips? And then you failed to 1. execute your plan, 2. take action on the advice you received, or 3. be accountable? I'm going to assume the answer is "Yes," because it's a mistake we've all made before. Although some of us longer than others. That's what I did for about a decade before shipping Twistori, before Freckle, before JavaScript Performance Rocks! — before 30x500. I used to talk about the business I would build, some day. The software I would design, some day. I had HUGE ambition. I was always looking around for something that would make me do it. And I learned: There's no such thing. There is no force on earth that can make you do something. Really — nothing. Even if a moustachio'd highwayman held you at gunpoint and demanded "YOUR LAUNCH DATE OR YOUR LIFE," you would still be choosing between consequences: Do I ship? Or do I take the bullet? You get to choose. You cannot be truly forced. And why would you want to be, anyway? Why would you want to put yourself in that position? Nobody does, not for long. So you say you want "an accountability partner," and that lets the pressure off, and then… nothing gets done. No surprise there: you relied on the pressure, and then you let it escape. Accidentally on purpose. This is a pattern I've seen over & over in myself, before I decided to get over it. And in the last 5 years I've seen it in so many of our students. It's one of the core causes of failure and if you want to succeed, you need to address it. To help you, I recorded a little Amy Productivity Psychology Story Time for you. I explain the why, the wherefores… and what to do about it.

New Years was banging from everywhere around the globe this year. You did not have to be there to channel into it. For me, in 7 days, I had that celebration rushing from Belo Horizonte to Tai Pei. They were amazing and they were living for every moment as was I. But now, I had one more stop to go to and give it on NYE; my hometown of NYC, and it was going to be a long and crazy night for sure. Getting on that plane in Taiwan, I knew that I would actually be able to feel my first sunrise of the year and it would continue rising as my set went on, but I would enjoy it for sure when I was done at XL in New York. Since I knew we would be going 'til very late, I decided that after I was sure that I have served them properly with my fully loaded library, that I was going to entertain them in another way musically. XL changed the color and décor of the room and it became a land of classics being played with a rising sun. Perfect. I made selections for my set by going for titles (which I partially obsessed over) that have touched me, changed me or gave me the courage to accept change as I was living here within a talent pool of maestros that is legendary after legendary. Respect to you all. For all my friends and fans out there, please understand, you don’t have to come from New York to feel it, and much of the music originated in other great cities, but they inspired me here and I hope you enjoy this and have a Happy New Year, Tony.
