This one's for the spiritual rebels and the cosmic dropouts who are tired of being told they have to remember who they were in Atlantis in order to evolve. The New Age industrial complex sings the same tone-deaf songs on repeat: “Remember who you are!” and “Remember where you came from!” and “Remember your soul's purpose!”Why are all these made-for-TikTok gurus so obsessed with “remembering” everything? And how many grudges do you think they carry if they're always hyper-fixated on digging up the past? It's exhausting to constantly “process” and “unpack" your life. You're allowed to become something new without recovering every last version of who you've been. What if forgetting is how we survive the things that would otherwise shatter us?This episode is about how freaking punk-rock it is to say, “Fuck my origin story!” (Not really, but kinda.) We're not saying your past experiences are unimportant. And we're not saying you need to forget everything you've been through. We're not even saying that forgetting is easy to do. But sometimes… it is easy? Actually, many times… forgetfulness just… happens.Forgetting is a function of your consciousness, not a flaw. It's a psychic technology (and a healthy neurological process!) that helps you drop your outdated scripts, abandon your self-imposed limitations, and start fresh. You can't live a full-ass life if you're always trying to recover some perfect past version of yourself. In an era where everyone's clinging to their storyline, maybe the most sacred thing you can do is lose the plot on purpose. Maybe the goal isn't to remember who you are, but to become who you weren't.If you're white-knuckle-gripping anything that's outgrown you, this episode is your permission slip to misremember it on purpose, or forget about it all together. And if you can't remember what any of this means tomorrow — good.***************************Podcast & Host Links:Clairannoyance InstagramClairannoyance TikTokClairannoyance WebsiteMegan's InstagramMegan's TikTokMegan's WebsiteRyan's InstagramRyan's TikTokRyan's Website
This week at Mission Church, Guest Speaker Chasen Behrends takes us through Galatians 4:1-7 as we look at the cure for spiritual amnesia. Do we find ourselves in a season of forgetfulness where we have forgotten where we've come from, what God has done, and what we have to look forward to?In this sermon, we see that the cure is to remember our adoption story: the truth that we were dead in our sins, God adopted us as His children, and has given us an eternal inheritance. All the work, the striving, the plans we make—how much of it will truly last? We pour our lives into building something meaningful, but time seems to have a way of erasing even the greatest accomplishments. Monuments crumble, names fade, and even the brightest legacies dim as generations pass. It's a sobering thought, isn't it? Welcome to the Daily. We go through the bible verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, every single day. Our text today is Ecclesiastes 1:11. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after. — Ecclesiastes 1:11 Have you ever heard the phrase, "Out of sight, out of mind"? It's shocking how quickly we can forget what once seemed unforgettable—a significant life event, a hard-earned lesson, or even God's faithfulness. King Solomon, reflecting on the cyclical nature of life, points out a sobering truth: humanity has a habit of forgetting. Generations rise and fall, achievements fade, and even the most memorable moments are eventually overshadowed by time. This isn't just a historical observation; it's a spiritual reality. The Bible is replete with examples of forgetfulness. Here is one. Israel, after being miraculously delivered from Egypt, quickly grumbled in the wilderness, forgetting God's provision and power (Exodus 16). Likewise, we often forget God's past faithfulness when faced with new challenges. Solomon's words challenge us to reflect on how forgetfulness leads to ingratitude, complacency, and disobedience. The lesson here is obvious: we must guard against spiritual amnesia. When we spiritually forget, we lose sight of how God has provided, protected, and guided us. Forgetfulness erodes our connection and gratitude, and our hearts grow distant and cold. That's why it's vital to intentionally remember—to reflect on God's work in our lives and share those stories with others, especially the next generation. This is one reason I think it is essential to read the Bible every day, like we do here, simply to remember. To fight spiritual amnesia. Take some time today to remember what God has done in your life. Write down moments where God's hand was unmistakable—times God answered prayers, gave you strength or carried you through trials. Let those memories anchor you in faith and gratitude. And don't stop there—pass those stories along. In doing so, you'll build a legacy of faith that endures even when memories fade. Never forget to remember—your history with God is a testimony for tomorrow. #SpiritualAmnesia, #FaithfulGod, #EcclesiastesReflection ASK THIS: What are some ways you've seen God's hand in your life recently? How do you intentionally remember God's faithfulness in your daily routine? Why do you think it's easy to forget significant spiritual lessons or events? How can you share your testimony of God's provision with the next generation? DO THIS: Write down three moments when God was faithful in your life and share one with someone close to you. PRAY THIS: Lord, help me to never forget Your faithfulness in my life. Anchor my heart in gratitude and teach me to share Your goodness with others. Amen. PLAY THIS: I Won't Forget.

What To Do When You Lose Sight of Who You Are.
Everyone has an external situation, meaning psychophysiological nature, based on their modalities. And you can rise above that—anyone can rise above that. Kṛṣṇa says, by simply getting back in touch with devotional service, you know the material world is really about forgetfulness of our personality, of our true nature. Sometimes people get amnesia, and they forget who they are. There was a famous recording artist, Jan and Dean—you guys have never heard of him, I guarantee you—Jan and Dean, from the 60s. Not that I was a big fan, but I do remember him—Jan and Dean. One of them, you know, just like a regular hot shot rock and roll star would do, had a major car accident in his fancy car, driving too fast, and then had a head injury and got amnesia. And one of the ways that they brought him back to remembrance of his actual position—because he forgot who he was, that's amnesia, "Who are you?" "I don't know, I don't know where he came from"—they played some of his music. He was like, "Oh yeah, I remember that." So, there's a way that we can forget our connection with Kṛṣṇa. But just by hearing the sound vibration from that realm, we can remember again who we are. The first five stanzas of Psalm 103 are reminders that forgetting the blessings that we receive from God can be spiritually deadly, debilitating, damaging and destructive. Any such incidence of “spiritual amnesia” dampens and detaches our worship from its True Source who is the LORD. According to the Psalmist, the LORD “satisfies our desires with good things” (stanza 5a). Because of our sin nature, worship is not a natural response but requires us to be intentional about remembering what the LORD has done and blessing or worshipping Him. This sermon focuses on three components of that response: our temptation, our task and our testimony.

A famous film director once shared an interesting spiritual perspective about Superman that has always stayed with me and it inspired this episode!I like to believe that we are in some way extensions of the Divine. Spiritual beings who are made up of energy and Love. Yet at some point, on this crazy journey called life - we've forgotten that these human bodies and these ego-personalities we show up in, are not based on our true self. They're our “alter egos”, a costume we wear during our human experience here, and the identities we create around them. Today on the Karen Kenney Show, we're talking about a sort of “spiritual amnesia” that has us forgetting who we truly are, where we came from and what our ultimate purpose is.Instead, we find ourselves attending this little weirdo human Halloween party, wearing a disguise that kinda' hides our true nature, has us trying to blend in, and often conforming to societal expectations that only work to dim our inner brilliance. With today's episode I extend an invitation to shed the costume of our ego, get curious and ask ourselves...Who am I really beneath the facade, mask and costume and what do I think I'll become when I return this temporary outfit to the “costume shop”?KK's Takeaways:• Superman Was Born Superman (2:49)• We Are Extensions Of The Divine (4:42)• Love Is Eternal (9:13)• Spiritual Amnesia (10:54)• We Are Not Of This World (14:49)• Love Is Our Superpower (16:52)• We Are Love (19:02)• Alter Ego (22:28)• How Social Media Affects Us (23:43)Karen Kenney is a certified Spiritual Mentor, Hypnotist, Integrative Change Worker and a Life Coach.
