This week on The KOKO Show we get our Swoopy back from his impromptu golfing trips to make the group whole again as we break down a wonderful week that was in the world of rugby. The lads came together to run a fine tooth comb through the Super Rugby W Final that saw the Tahs tackle the Reds at North Sydney Oval, to make it back to back chips in 2024 and 25. Plus, we go large on round 9 of the Superb Rugby Pacific, highlighting the Brumbies big win over the Reds, the Tahs toppling the challenging Chiefs and the Crusaders taking their rightful place back on top of the Super ladder. Moreover, the boys go full business mode as they tackle all the hard hitting topics in a saucy smattering of Other Rugby News. However, the highlight of Episode 17 has to be our very special guest, all the way from the fortified walls of Edinburgh Castle with his new Whiskey in hand and donning a gorgeously snug pair of togs, it is Scotland's South African chunky chappy Mr Pierre Schoeman. We discuss everything from the state of rugby north of the wall, what it was like growing up in South Africa and now proudly playing for Scotland and finally his delicious little side business he shares with teammate and friend Duhan van der Merwe. So sit back, relax and hook up your IV drip full of Hirundine Whiskey and just let those mellow smokey notes of four flogs trying to make a rugby pod fill your gills with glee. Because it is time for episode 17 of Kick Offs and Kick Ons. In this week's first spoonful of The KOKO Show you all get treated to a tasty charcuterie board of fine footy yummies. This week the lads decided to do the ‘Superb Rugby Roundup' a little differently, instead of winding their way through every game one by one, they decided to tackle another cracking week of domestic footy by illuminating their ‘Top 5 Talking points'.Moreover, with this new found angle and creative direction, the fellas have conjured up some of the best and most beautiful rugby punditry money can buy, as they deep dive on how all the Aussie teams are shaping up after three weeks, as well as establishing a mutual agreement that no Super Rugby team has hit their straps just yet.Plus, after the boys clean themselves up from that sensual Super Rugby session of common sense, they add to their tally of ‘Locked in Lions' and finally they finish with a truly edge of your seat installment of the KOKO Quiz.So sheer your sheep, milk those cows and collect the eggs, because Old MacDonald has a fucking good podcast for you to listen to. In this week's second instalment of what to listen to when you have no will to live, sorry I mean The KOKO Show, we are joined by an extra large special guest. This man is known as the Seven Hills Hulk, the ‘Steifel Tower' and the ‘bestie Westie' to ever play footy. So please put your hands together for a man that has captained the Wallabies, played for the Tahs and is currently turning the French Top 14 on its head, it is the one and only Mr Will Skelton. In this episode The KOKO Crew chop it up big time with Willy discussing everything from his early days in Wallaby Camp all the way through to his desire to play in the upcoming Lions Series.Plus, we give you guys a preview of the upcoming Six Nations matches as well as who the boys are tipping in round 2 of the Super Rugby Pacific Competition. So stand up tall and slide into a pair of Antoine Dupont endorsed Cuban heels for a few extra inches as we tackle all the big issues with an even bigger Will Skelton, right now on Kick Offs and Kick Ons. For your second trip up to the all you can eat KOKO buffet of happiness and rugby filled banter, we are giving you a healthy lashing of Super Rugby excitement, a side salad of ‘What's Drewin' and little sweet treat to finish as we name our first round of ‘Locked in Lions'. With the ‘Superb' Rugby season merely hours away from kicking off the lads run their greasy mitts through each and every Australian franchise, handing you unsolicited pearls of wisdom about how each team will compete and fair in the upcoming 2025 season. We talk crucial INS, OUT and and what could have ‘beens' for each side, as we put together the most complete and comprehensive season preview that zero dollars could buy. Plus, the boys have to smooth over some tense moments with Gits as he comes to terms with the fact most of the best Rebels players on the market didn't and shouldn't want to live in Canberra. I mean we could all ‘A SEE T' that was coming! Moreover, Drew clears the cobwebs off the age-old debate “What is Sua'ali'i's best position?”, as the Tahs look to play him at the back, whilst Schmidt saw his value in the centres. Finally, to keep our little frostbitten friends north of the wall happy, we have introduced a new segment called ‘The Locked in Lions”, where for the 12 weeks the lads will pick one player each every week to put on our whiteboard that can pack their bags and book their exit rows seats for the Lions Tour Down Under. So, put your tray tables away and place your seats in the upright position as the KOKO Crew point out each and every debaucherous exit on your whirlwind trip to pleasure town. Last night I had the opportunity to sit down with the fabulous and engaging former Brumby and current Waratahs tight head, Tom Ross. Tom talks about how he escaped the barren wastelands of the ACT and signed with the Tahs in November 2023. He reflects on a fair prop education while down south with one or two reasonable prop mentors and some useful coaches as well. 2024 saw Tom in the Tahs starting XV before he too succumbed to the Tahs curse, doing his MCL five minutes into the match against the Chiefs, but battled it out till halftime. Tom is on the recovery trail and we discuss all things rugby. From his rugby trajectory, to how to help Sonny-Bill Williams evolve as a commentator and everything else in between. Special thanks to the Waratah media team for the opportunity and also to Tom. 'Tross' (must be short for Albatross) was a terrific guest and ''much better than Julian Heaven'' (Tom's words). We talked Brumbies rugby, coaches, life at the Tahs and a whole lot more. Sit down, pour yourself a refreshing beverage and enjoy. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
After a will-they won't-they saga all season, the Waratahs have decided to let Darren Coleman go. The boys are here to discuss all in this FLASH pod! But was it a good decision? Why do the Waratahs seem to change but get no better? How come the state with the biggest population and the most rugby players in Oz is perpetually disappointing, like pesto pasta writ large and in an out-of-form Super Rugby form? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
To kick off this new series, our first guest has been a revelation at the Tahs this year. Starting the year on a 'training contract', injuries to other players coupled with his own rising form saw him demand a spot on the pine and then quickly into the starting team. Currently recovering from a shoulder injury, we welcome NSW Waratahs hooker, Julian Heaven. Special thanks to the Simon at Waratah Media for his co-operation and support. And of course to 'The Axe' himself, who as you'll hear is not just a cracking person, but also a young rugby player, working multiple jobs all in the pursuit of his rugby goals. Fergus Lee-Warner and the Liquidators sounds like the name of a band, but it's our two guests this week as we look at the Rebels situation and catch up with one of the former Western Force stars now playing for the Tahs.

The boys are back in town! The boys being the Tahs and the town being good ol' Syd-da-ney. Nick, Nathan and Josh are here to talk about the Tahs, Reds, Rebels and more. How good are the Tahs? Will Swinton ever see red? What's up with the Reds? McReight or McWrong - whats with these judiciary decisions? The Rebels are looking good aren't they! Should Debreczeni start for the Wallabies? (red hot I know) and should the Waratahs Women swap with the Mens? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This week on 'A Frank between two Sean's', the boys discuss the MVP two horse race between Nathan MacKinnon and Nikita Kucherov, the positive development of Juraj Slafkovský in Montreal, and the push to the playoffs in the East between Detroit, Washington, Pittsburgh and the Islanders. Plus Sean and Sean present what they learned in the NHL this week, with the playoff candidate Flyers imploding, maybe this season is a failure after all in Philadelphia? Meanwhile, DGB demands an Islanders/Rangers playoff series, plus they provide their thoughts on the atrocious non-call on Noah Dobson after he cross checked Vinny Trocheck with a hit from behind into the boards, and the boys 'video tribute' Alex Ovechkin and Auston Matthews goal scoring prowess ahead of another edition of TAHS question and answer period in the app. Learn more about your ad choices.
