This week on the KOKO Show we have landed one of the biggest names in the world of rugby. We are talking about hot bloody property! This bloke is a 6 foot 3 - 105kg piece of Temora forged titanium, a consistent threat under the high ball and a fella that is doing his best to make the 70's pornstar chin beard a thing in 2026. That is right we are joined by the Western Force enforcer Mr Zac Lomax. With ‘Zac Attack' in tow the lads chat about his transition from league to union, the cultural differences between the two codes and he sheds some light on the 2026 NSW State of Origin team selection. Furthermore, the boys delve deep into Zac's acclamation process in Perth with the Force and they speak about the biggest league fan boys within the footy club. Plus, we play a little game of ‘Footy, footy or Footy' to unpack some of the lesser known off-field controversies from the three football codes over the years. Finally, we of course chat about all the action from Round 14 of the Super Rugby, we preview all the juicy clashes in the final two weeks of the season with knockout implications and lastly we pick our Earth XV to take on the Mars XV in the inaugural intergalactic showdown. So sit back, relax and let the ‘Hot as fuck boi' energy of Zac Lomax wash over you like a session at one of those fancy Japanese head spas. New Zealand broadcaster and host of the popular DSPN podcast Martin Devlin joins Brett McKay on the AUS Rugby scene this week, to look ahead at the return of Super Round after a wild Round 10 last weekend. A round that had everything saw Moana Pasifika put up way more fight than expected, we had the first edition of extra time for the season in Hamilton, the Fijian Drua enjoyed a first away win in Australia, and the Western Force claimed another scalp. That puts all eyes onto the return of Super Round in Christchurch, and their brand new, magnificent stadium just blocks from the city centre. The latest Western Force signing George Bridge is our guest this week and what a lad he is! From humble beginnings in Gisborne, to carving up for Canterbury, the Crusaders, and then going on to wear the black jersey on the biggest stage of all! But it hasn't all been smooth sailing. George had his struggles moving down to Christchurch as a 17 year old, he had to deal with some brutal injuries – knees, pec tears, appendicitis, he had three surgeries in eight months! He even played a Super Rugby Final with a nasty vomit bug. Despite all that, he kept bouncing back and showing his class and always finishing of tries! Some highlights for me in this one were..Hearing why he made the leap from Gisborne to Christchurch, The pathway he took to becoming an All Black,The influence of Leon MacDonald,The heartbreak of the 2019 World Cup semi-final, Why he moved to France and how he found itHis next chapter with the Force,And heaps more including all your questions.George is someone who always took his opportunity on the field through work rate and the never give up attitude. Players loved playing with this man cause he would never let them down and he is a champion lad! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
