Frank Reich enters his first year as head coach. They do return fourteen starters. Third down conversions were near the bottom of college football. They rushed for just 3.6 yards a carry and completed 58.2% of their passes. The Cardinals allowed 36.1 points per game last year. Hawaii finished at 5-7 and returned fifteen starters. Timmy Chang is in his four seasons as head coach with no winning seasons. Despite their experience on defense, the Warriors were near the bottom of college football in completion percentage against and yards per rush attempt of 4.9 yards.
