This week with sit down with former Mayland Basketball player, Rhodes Scholar, NBA Player, Congressman and current member of the USM Board of Regents, Tom McMillen. He gives us his take on Mike Locksley getting the backing of Jim Smith as well as the current state of college athletics. We also chat about his time in politics and on the 1972 olympic team. A report over the weekend stated that Locksley will remain with the program through 2026, and the school will give more financial support to the school in the hopes of building a real winner. Coach Locks shares his thoughts on his future and why he feels Maryland is on the cusp of something great on the gridiron.
The University of Maryland is bringing Mike Locksley back in 2026. Athletic Director Jim Smith says they want to increase funding for the program in general, but Dave Lomonico says the financial situation is what's preventing them from firing Locksley in the first place.
