The 2-5 WVU football team will host the 5-2 TCU Horned Frogs in a Big 12 Conference matchup on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Star quarterback Josh Hoover leads TCU into Morgantown to take on a struggling Mountaineer team, who will be relying on true freshman signal caller, Scotty Fox, who is being thrust into action due to injuries to multiple West Virginia quarterbacks. Sonny Dykes' TCU squad will also rely on wide receiver Eric McAllister, who has already eclipsed 600 yards receiving and seven touchdowns on the season. McAllister will be lined up against a WVU secondary that has been struggling since Big 12 play began. Rich Rodriguez's Mountaineer team has been decimated by injuries on the offensive side of the ball. In addition to quarterbacks Nicco Marchiol, Jaylen Henderson and Khalil Wilkins, WVU is also without their top two running backs in Jahiem White and Tye Edwards. Both players are out for the season.
