Aaron from The Washboard Union joins Jackie on air to talk about their brand new single "Never Run Out Of Road.""On their new album Everbound, The Washboard Union secure their status as one of Canada's preeminent country bands with 10 songs that celebrate the simple joy of life. The follow-up to their 2018 album What We're Made Of—which earned the trio their first JUNO Award for Breakthrough Group Of The Year—Everbound keeps the good times rolling with an irresistible blend of roof-raising anthems and poignant ballads. The impeccable three-part harmony and top-notch musicianship once again displayed by Aaron Grain, Chris Duncombe and David Roberts is only one aspect of The Washboard Union's appeal. With about 30 songs in the running to make Everbound's final cut, the group was determined to offer only their best material, aided by the keen ears of Nashville producers Gordie Sampson, Thomas “Tawgs” Salter and producer Karen Kosowski, who also co-wrote the album's uplifting first single “Country Thunder.” Accompanied by a video starring puppet versions of Aaron, Chris and David, its quick rise up Billboard's Canada Country chart made the song their highest charting single to date. There are sure to be many more converts in the wake of Everbound as The Washboard Union continue to prove that creativity is not limited by the use of traditional instruments. Although they will still be called country, The Washboard Union will always sound exactly like who they are."

Performing on stages for nearly 2 decades classically trained pianist and Singer/Songwriter Aimee Allen has just taken the next step towards the spotlight. With an incredible team beside her it's now her time to shine. Aimee is most well known for performing multi instrumentally and vocally alongside multi award winning Country Music singer/Songwriter and husband Aaron Allen. “After all these years of being onstage with Aaron, I knew my time would come to pursue something of my own. I have this sound inside of me that I want to share with the world.” And truly the stars aligned for Allen to release her first solo song and she couldn't be more elated. Aimee began writing songs at an early age and continued throughout her life until her pursue of art took the wheel. Still continuing to perform and record studio albums, Aimee also became a well established and quite popular Tattoo Artist which is where she put most of her time and energy. But music was always there silently calling for her when the time was right. Aimee's debut single “It Is What It Is” was produced by multi award winning and former Sony ATV staff Producer Jeff “Diesel” Dalziel who has seen his share of success in the Country world producing artists such as Brett Kissel, Juno award winners The Washboard Union and of course Aimee's other half Aaron Allen. But Jeff is no stranger to the world of Pop and was a strong guiding light on this journey. The song is honest, raw and on par with today's cutting edge Pop acts. Although it's a debut the years of experience come shining through in Aimee's smooth, confident and uniquely pleasing delivery on “It Is What It Is”. Now as she journeys into the unknown it's up to the universe to decide what's next. With Apple Music supporting and playlisting “It Is What It Is” in it's first week of release on 4 playlists, it's fair to say it truly is Aimee Allen's time to shine. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/steven-cuoco0/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/steven-cuoco0/support
