Alli Walker has spent 15 years in the music industry, but it wasn’t until 2024 that everything clicked, like opening, singing and BAGPIPING with Shania Twain, being nominated for Female Vocalist of the year at the CCMA Awards, and signing a record deal with Sony. Alli’s music has gone viral, especially with her infectious tune “Creek.” Her newest song, “First Time Living,” duets with Gretchen Wilson, just released and had Gretchen in tears the first time she heard it. Now, she’s set to take her music to London and Glasgow for C2C in March, proving that this is just the beginning.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode, Dr. Laura branches away from the specific subject of career fulfillment and speaks with her guest, country music star George Canyon, about spirituality and servanthood. George Canyon has recently released his memoir, My Country, and the book reveals the challenges and adventures he's faced, his determination to help others dealing with Type One diabetes, and the faith that keeps him going.George tells Dr. Laura that though his book is full of vulnerability and authenticity, he shied away from relating negative stories. He chooses positivity wherever he can because, as he says, “nobody needs to read more negativity”. The conversation delves into the challenges his teenage diagnosis of Type One diabetes brought him, how hard he worked to succeed in the music industry, and his spirituality and faith in The Creator that drives him day to day. It's a more spiritual conversation than is usually had with Dr. Laura's guests but it's not tied to any specific religion and it's a conversation full of hope that everyone can benefit from. “... we're humans, we put titles to everything - everybody has to title something, I don't know why. It's just, I guess, to make us feel more safe and conformed. Church, the title church, is a community. It's a community of people. The original churches were held in people's homes. It wasn't a big building you went to with four walls. It was a home where you got together to talk about your faith, to talk about what the Creator's done for you, to encourage each other, to pick each other up, not to be judgmental and condemn each other.” George CanyonAbout George Canyon:George Canyon rose to become one of Canada's hottest Country Music stars in the early 2000s and has won countless accolades and awards, including Juno Awards, CCMA Awards, and ECMA Awards to name a few. He has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, recorded 12 albums, and was recently presented a certified Platinum Award for his debut album ‘One Good Friend'. With country hits like Just Like You, I Believe in Angels, Drinkin' Thinkin', Daughters of the Sun, I Got This, I Want You To Live, Slow Dance and many, many more. He is also a highly regarded humanitarian, a strong supporter of the military, and, most importantly, a proud father and devoted husband.Over the years George has also had the privilege of collaborating with fellow talents, a prime example being when he joined forces with multi-platinum pop and rock icon Richard Marx to produce two albums, 2008's ‘What I Do' and 2011's ‘Better Be Home Soon', the latter of which featured When Love Is All You Got, written for George by Marx and the legendary Kenny Rogers. ‘What I Do' was an enormous success, going Certified Gold during the first three weeks of release.George is so much more than an award-winning musical talent. Helping others has always been a huge priority for him, particularly for children with Diabetes and his work as a spokesperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). It's a cause close to Canyon's heart, starting from when he himself was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes at the age of 14. In addition to his work with JDRF, George is an ardent supporter of our military, having performed many times for troops overseas and even releasing a moving tribute with the single I Want You to Live, which touches on the very heartbreaking fact that in fighting for our country, some of our troops won't make it back home. The music video for the single features several real soldiers talking about their lives and careers, putting faces to the group of people working to make our country safe.Among his many identities, Canyon is also a proud Canadian and huge hockey fan, and roots for his team, the Calgary Flames, for which he just completed his 8th season singing the national anthem during the home games.Resources:Website: GeorgeCanyon.com“My Country” by George CanyonJuvenile Diabetes Research FoundationGerald Auger on InstagramEpisode 54 | Special Episode on the LiLoHia Project: with guests Gerald Auger and Sass JordanLearn more about Dr. Laura on her website: https://drlaura.liveFor more resources, look into Dr. Laura's organizations: Canada Career CounsellingSynthesis Psychology

With over 20 million worldwide streams, Alberta born artist Dan Davidson has created undeniable momentum. His latest single “Girl Drinks Beer” featuring Travis Collins and Australian tour cap off a banner year. His early 2022 EP 6 Songs To Midnight marked a pivotal moment of his career, closing his previous chapter and embarking on a new era as a multifaceted artist, songwriter and producer. With the EP debuting at #1 on the iTunes sales chart in Canada, Davidson took his new collection of music on a European tour, and returned home to a CCMA nomination for Record Producer of the Year. It was at the CCMA Awards that he celebrated receiving a Platinum record for his sophomore single "Found". Dan exploded onto the Canadian country scene in 2016 when the release of his second single "Found" (co-written by Clayton Bellamy of The Road Hammers) sky-rocketed up the charts and he became the #1 charting indie artist in Canada. It was also the #1 selling Canadian country song for several weeks and went on to become certified Platinum in Canada. Since then, the rising artist has seen 6 CCMA Award nominations, 10 ACMA awards, and Top 20 charting numbers. He may be only 6 years into his country career, but Davidson is far from "green" in the music industry. He spent over 10 years playing in the well-known Canadian indie rock band Tupelo Honey, who had several top 40 hits, top selling iTunes records and toured with bands like Bon Jovi.

You've heard the voice of today's guest on a previous episode where she participated in a panel recorded live at the CCMA Awards weekend in Calgary - but no doubt, we needed AT LEAST an hour to cover off her brilliance, if not more. Funny story; I had no idea I was already connected with Morgan through e-mail. Truth be told, I thought she was an Indigenous dude from what I could tell through our servers. I was communicating with 'MJ' to recieve a weekly Indigenous Music Countdown from NCI FM, a partner to SiriusXM who I worked for at the time. Fast forward to an episode recorded with Keziah Myers from ADVANCE. We were trying to figure out if there was a single black programmer in Canada working in Country music...after asking around for days...Amanda Kingsland led me to MJ from Winnipeg, who I was already e-mailing. Whoops. This episode teaches me a lesson about assumptions in so many ways. The ways I make assumptions. The ways that others make assumptions. We are human and we make mistakes. Morgan demonstrates how kindness, curiosity, and compassion can lead you to the lesson. We talk about her transition from Rhythm to Country radio formats, her thoughts on Morgan Wallen and micro-aggressions in the industry, and we talk about how minorities are represented in media. Currently, MJ is the Music Director of Now Country & NCI FM in Winnipeg. She also hosts a show on Now Country and the MJ Show Podcast where she interviews Country musicians. Multiple award-winning Alberta-based country band Nice Horse recently received a Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) award nomination for Video of the Year for their music video for "High School". In addition to being nominated as a band, the members of Nice Horse were also all individually nominated for CCMA Awards. Brandi Sidoryk (vocals/bass) was nominated for Bass Player of the Year, Tara McLeod (electric guitar) was nominated for Guitar Player of the Year, Katie Rox (vocals/banjo/acoustic guitar) was nominated for Specialty Instrument Player of the Year, and Krista Wodelet (vocals/drums) made history as the first-ever nominee for Drummer of the Year. “We are beyond thrilled, and honoured to have received these nominations. As a band, it truly means a lot to be recognized for our musicianship. We love playing together and we love that other artists give us a chance to play for them too. We feel it is incredibly unique that we each got a nod for doing what we love to do, and really cool that Krista made history as the first female to be nominated in the Drummer of the Year category,” says Katie Rox of Nice Horse. “As for the Video of the Year nomination, it is particularly special to us because that is a video we made ourselves. We shot everything ourselves on our iPhones using green screens, did our own wardrobe, hair, makeup, collected all of the High School photos from fans and friends, and Brandi and Krista directed the entire video and put it all together. We are so proud of it, and it feels pretty great to see that hard work pay off in a nomination like this."

The band continues to create great country music, sung with the distinctive harmonies that are their hallmark. They log thousands of miles on the road each year thrilling audiences of all ages across the United States and abroad.Ricochet is:Heath Wright – Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar & Fiddle Chris Hempfling – Drums & Vocals Larry Hight -Steel Guitar, Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Saxophone & Vocals Bruce Bennett -Bass & VocalsRick Toops -Keyboards & Vocals • Ricochet's debut single, “What Do I Know”, was the highest charting debut single of 1996 rising to #3 in R&R and #5 in Billboard. Branded as the ultimate ‘All American Girl' by Scenes Media, Howie unapologetically embodies the untamed tradition that country music was built on, and she's hellbent on bringing her own grit to the honky tonk. Not many can say they've shared the stage with the likes of Carrie Underwood, and Howie is one of even fewer who can say they were handpicked to do so at the age of 5; while other kids were learning how to ride a bike, she was teaching people to expect the unexpected whenever they hear the name Payton Howie. Her music has been highlighted by leaders in the industry, including “Never Go Home” featured on Spotify's Fresh Finds Country: Best of 2021 and Country Rock playlists, and “Country Before Me” featured by COWGIRL Magazine and CMT. On the verge of releasing her debut EP, ‘Youngblood,' Payton Howie is prepared to scorch country music with a brand that's hers alone.

We discuss: - what her day to day life is like being an award winning, Music Row Songwriter - How she maintains time for herself to make room for creativity, even amidst the chaos - How she turns off the constant distractions to trust her inner Source to come up with songs - How to listen within in order to get the best musical results - How she's learned to constantly pivot in the ever-changing music industry, while still maintaining her songwriting integrity - Finding the time to be quiet and what that does to propel your songwriting - How therapy has helped her “take the hard” out of her songwriting process, and how you can too! - We talk about your Creative Source, imposter syndrome, anxiety in co-writes and performing and how this Award-winning songwriter got through it all to see her dreams come to fruition and SO MUCH. On this week's episode Mike is digging into the world of Canadian country rock! First up, Cory Marks (3:20) returns to chat about writing his latest Gold-selling single, “Outlaws and Outsiders” and album, ‘Who I Am', which Billboard called a “long-awaited next-generation country rock record.” Mark discusses his years between albums and the changes he made to his career, the serendipity that led to working with famed producer Kevin Churko, and a lot more. Later, the guys from highly-revered country-rock trio The Road Hammers (28:00) join Mike to discuss songwriting, egos, what “country music” even means, and a lot more. An undeniable staple in Canadian country music, with over 25 million streams, five CCMA Awards and a Juno Award win; The Road Hammers are Jason McCoy, Clayton Bellamy and Chris Byrne. They formed in 2004 with a plan of making just one concept record, but more than 15 years later they can't stop writing and playing together. With Mike, the guys explain what keeps them together and how the style and spirit of The Road Hammers has evolved.
Alberta's ANNIKA recently released not 1 but 2 singles on the same day: "I Really Don't Want To" & "It Still Hurts". It's something she calls a 'twingle' - twin singles. She's taking a new musical direction since moving on from the CCMA-nominated country-pop duo Leaving Thomas. The duo accumulated over 6 million career streams and was nominated for multiple CCMA Awards and placed top 3 in SiriusXM's Top of The Country Competition. "I Really Don't Want To" is a heavy-hitting musical jam with a message of empowerment while at the same time, describing the intoxicating, sometimes impossible to understand feeling of falling in love. ‘It Still Hurts’ outlines the painful, often lengthy healing process required after a love goes wrong. "The single "I Really Don't Want To" has a message that hits home for me as someone that has a history of falling in love, completely unafraid and uninhibited every time even though I knew heartbreak was likely around the corner,” explains Annika. “After so many breakups, I got used to picking myself back up and carrying on without resentment or a jaded attitude towards love. The bluesy, soulful sound of the song is uplifting in nature, making it a great tune to jam out to on the piano and I loved that while recording, I could really let loose on the vocals." Annika is set to release her first full-length solo album in the coming months and is ready to showcase a more mature, introspective side, highlighting her talents as a musician, songwriter and specifically a piano player. To date, she's co-written over 100 songs with hit writers including Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Phil Barton, Brian White, Patricia Conroy and Liz Rose.
Together with American Songwriter and Sean Ulbs of The Eiffels, we had the pleasure of interviewing Brett Kissel over Zoom video! One of Country music’s fastest rising stars, Brett Kissel, recently released his new album, What Is Life?. Released on OneRPM, What Is Life?, is a 14-track collection of original material with ten musical compositions produced by the 18-time Canadian Country Music (CCMA) award-winning musician Brett Kissel, Bart McKay, and Jesse Frasure, and four short monologues reflecting on the title What Is Life? from Kissel and his children. While fans were still buzzing about last year’s Now Or Never album, Brett started looking towards his next release, but couldn’t get three words out of his head – What Is Life? The search for something “more” weighed heavily on the country star’s mind, and with the new album, Brett Kissel invites fans to take a deep-dive with him into songs about love, celebration, and gratitude. Brett Kissel is on Warner Music Canada and has had tremendous success in his home country. His charismatic personality, energetic stage presence, and music style have propelled him to the top of the Canadian Country music charts, with two Gold-certified albums, a Platinum and eight Gold singles, and 15 top-10 radio hits to his credit. 2019-2020 was a storybook year for Brett, winning the JUNO Award (equivalent to the American Grammy) for Country Album of the Year and earning the Canadian Country Music Association's Fans' Choice Award, following a record-breaking 112-date tour that reached every single province and territory. In 2019, he completed two legs of his headlining tour, marked as one of Canada’s most extensive tours, selling out venues and reaching nationwide status. The Canadian Press crowned him "The New King of Canadian Country." The accolades continued in 2020, when Brett was the big winner of the CCMA Awards, earning four trophies, including Fans' Choice, Male of the Year, and Album of the Year. As one of the top acts on the Canadian Country music scene, Brett Kissel is on the brink of becoming a household name across the United States. Having toured with artists such as Garth Brooks and Brad Paisley, the young entertainer is no stranger to the stage. We want to hear from you! Brett Kissel is constantly exploring new ideas, while never forgetting what he does best. It's an approach that has propelled him to the top of Canadian country music, with two Gold certified albums, a Platinum and eight Gold singles and 15 top-10 radio hits to his credit. 2019 was a storybook year for Brett, winning the JUNO Award for Country Album of the Year and earning the Canadian Country Music Association's Fans' Choice Award, following a record-breaking 112-date tour that reached every single province and territory. The Canadian Press crowned him “The New King of Canadian Country.” The accolades continued in 2020, when Brett was the big winner of the CCMA Awards, earning 4 trophies, including Fans' Choice, Male of the Year and Album of the Year. Although some artists might see these accomplishments as a cue to hit cruise control, for this proud husband and father of three, it's only added fuel to his fire to give his audience more, and to expand his musical vision. That's precisely what he's done on Now Or Never, the first in a series of albums the pride of Flat Lake, Alberta, already has planned to release on an annual schedule. Now Or Never sets the tone of the new decade by delivering a dynamic mix of 21st Century country (“Drink About Me,” “She Drives Me Crazy”) and traditional heartstring tuggers (“I'm Not Him, I'm Not Her,” “Coffee With Her”) that are sure to find a place alongside Brett's best-loved songs. But listen carefully and it's clear there's a lot more going on. “I was in a really creative zone coming into making this record, and had written so many songs, that we decided to concentrate on the ones that showcased the diversity within my sound,” he says. “That's been the case with every album I've made to a certain extent, but now we want to take the lessons we've learned from those records and really focus in. There's traditional country, pop country, and acoustic country, which really plays into the eccentric style I have as an entertainer!”” Brett credits co-producer Jacob Durrett for covering a lot of the bases on Now Or Never and channeling the creative energy in exciting directions. With experience working with artists in nearly every genre ranging from country to hip hop, Durrett's cutting edge studio techniques gelled perfectly with Brett's goals. “Jacob and I are the same age and have been buddies in Nashville for about eight years,” Brett explains. “We've both come up through the ranks together, and as I started planning Now Or Never it felt like the right time to collaborate with Jacob. He's been able to put more of an international spin on my music, and bring out different nuances in my voice.” That said, Brett didn't leave his longtime producer Bart McKay out of the process, and his steady hand maintained the album's overall cohesion. The seamless blend of the new and the familiar is the real strength of Now Or Never, exemplified by the first single “Drink About Me,” which rocketed to the top of Billboard's Canadian Country chart (Brett's second career #1 single) soon after its release. It's set the stage for the arrival of the album's more pop-friendly tracks, particularly “She Drives Me Crazy,” which places Brett squarely at the heart of country music's current evolution. “My family and I are just like every other music fan. We are all over the place. With the ways people listen to music these days, I don't think anyone pays attention to genres like they used to,” he says. “One of the tracks from my last album We Were That Song, ‘Anthem,' had a lot of pop elements in it, and it became my fastest single to go Gold, as well as becoming an instant favourite in our live show. So with that in the back of my head, I sat down with Karen Kosowski and Emma-Lee to write one day, and we started trading lines. ‘She Drives Me Crazy' was finished in 45 minutes, and it was an amazing experience.”
For Recording artist JoJo Mason, the past few years have been an incredible journey. The two-time CCMA Rising Star Award nominee released his latest EP Changes last fall; featuring six new songs, Changes continues to highlight Mason's vibrant vocals and larger than life personality, while focusing on his evolution as an artist. Lead single “Chemical” has amassed over 1M streams, and adds to his impressive 26M global streams to date. Now, with five Top 10 tracks under his belt, Mason continues to deliver, notably performing as part of the 2020 CCMA Awards national broadcast, taking over SiriusXM Country as a guest host, garnering features with ET Canada and more.

By Design - Gal 5:16-25: I'm old enough to remember Calgary's skyline before the Calgary Tower was built. At the time, the tallest building was a round Sheraton Hotel that was 8 floors high. When the tower arrived it literally “towered” over the entire downtown! Today, unless you have the perfect sightline, you can barely see the thing. I love the design of many of our downtown towers. They display creativity, ingenuity and thoughtful architecture. One of the metaphors I love most about God is referring to Him as the Master Designer of our lives: we are “made by design” and what a beautiful design we are! This weekend, we'll consider the heart of the design, the truth that we are made to know God and in knowing Him we find truth, purpose, hope and grace. It will be great to celebrate being together as everything relaunches this weekend! For the Sunday services, we have a special team called “Tim and the Glory Boys” leading us in worship. These guys are unbelievably gifted and it will be awesome! They are unfortunately not available for Saturday night as they are performing at the CCMA Awards so you guys will get Ethan and Nicole (whom I'm renaming “Ethan and the Hallelujah Girl!”) for the weekend. Whatever service you are a part of it will be fantastic to see you and to encounter Jesus together! Bless you all! Ian

The song reached number 9 on the Billboard chart and the video (Directed by Mack) went on to earn two CCMA nominations for Video and Video Director of the Year. 2013 also saw Mack win the inaugural CCMA Discovery Program as well as the Unsigned Only Music Competition, besting some 10,000 artists from around the world. Following these milestones, Mack spent much of 2014 writing and recording in Nashville. Armed with new music, Mack exploded outward in 2015: he released his 3rd and 4th top 20 singles “Before You Drive Me Crazy” and “The Way You Let Me Down”, picked up his 8th CCMA nomination, and performed with Shania Twain across the nation on her “Rock This Country” farewell tour. In late 2015 Mack released his debut album “Edge of the Storm” which was nominated at the 2016 CCMA awards for Album of the Year.“Edge of the Storm” debuted at number 4 on the iTunes chart in September 2015, but the music and writing that went into it began as early as Spring 2012. As an independent artist, Mack began writing and recording, piecing together one song at a time. The success of his debut single, along with powerful performances opening for Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert in 2013 propelled him into the thick of country music. Mack wrote and recorded extensively in Nashville; performed to ecstatic fans with Shania Twain (serving as her only opening act, and once again with a duet, performing her hit “Party for Two” each night with her on tour); took to the stage on the CCMA Awards show (while being nominated for songwriter of the year); and finally released the album, closing one chapter and beginning the next.Mack took to country music at a young age, fueled by his surroundings in his home province of Alberta. At 11, Mack's father taught him to play the guitar (he too was a musician, having had a number 1 hit song in Canada in 1969 playing in the Sugar and Spice). Mack spent his teenage years growing out his hair, playing in a band, and learning to write and play numerous instruments. He moved to Vancouver with his band and received a degree from the University of British Columbia, and continued to cut his teeth playing in bars and clubs. As an indie artist Wes also leaned to produce music and direct music videos giving him another leg up and another way to create. Mack's behind the camera skills have served him well, as he has gone on to direct 11 music videos including four of his own, which have earned him multiple CCMA and BCCMA nominations for Music Video and Director of the Year. While carving out his path as a musician, Mack has also chosen yet another form in which to create: as an actor. His resume has grown to include work on the television shows: Heartland, Smallville, Supernatural, The 100, Continuum, The Vampire Diaries, and Motive. He has also taken on roles in films: Power Rangers, Magic Beyond Words: The JK Rowling Story, A Dog Named Christmas, The Phantoms and in the upcoming Liam Neeson picture Hard Powder. Between his time on numerous creative ventures, Mack has worked to give back to a number of institutions to which he owes much of his life. As a young child, Mack underwent heart surgery to correct a congenital heart defect. Now, as an adult, Mack has paired with the Cardiac Kids (in connection with the Sick Kids hospital in Toronto) and the Alberta Children's Hospital in an effort to raise awareness and money for these organizations.Between festival performances, Mack spent much of 2016 in Nashville writing for his second album, which is currently underway. Ontario's Meghan Patrick, who now lives in Nashville, co-wrote all but one of the 12 tracks on her new album Country Music Made Me Do It. Some of her other co-writers include Kelly Archer (Brett Young, Dustin Moore) and Justin Weaver (Kip Moore, Jason Aldean), who helped pen Walls Come Down, an ominous number about family strife. Case Of Beer And A Bed, written with Derick Ruttan and J.T. Harding (Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney), is a sentimental song about going back to the basics. Meghan co-wrote the title track with Stover and roots singer/songwriter Dan Isbell. The singer has recently experienced a lot of highs with the CCMA Awards and chart successes that she has earned, but there have also been a few lows such as the end of a long term relationship. Country Music Made Me Do It captures some of the peaks and valleys with heartfelt emotion in a traditional country setting. Meghan lives hard and loves hard, and her songs reflect this passion. She loves trucks, fishing and hunting, riding horses and a good stiff glass of whiskey, and all of these elements fuel her countrified lyrics. Think the free spirit of Emmylou Harris from those magical days when she performed with Gram Parsons, combined with the spark and sensuality of Tanya Tucker, the only female to crack the Outlaw genre, and you begin to have some idea of what Meghan Patrick is all about.

Marshall Dane's infectious blend of country and rock is set to blaze a trail in 2014. Country by definition, but fueled by rock and roll and infected with a watermelon-sized helping of hope, love and salvation, Marshall's the kind of guy you want to have on your side when the going gets tough in this world and his new album, One Of These Days is set to be your alibi. Born in Southern Ontario, Marshall grazed on a rich fix of music, from the country sounds of his preacher dad – “He first taught me how to play “The Farmer's Song” on guitar” – through his mum – in his own words the strongest, toughest, hardest working woman he's ever met – who played piano in the evenings to his four sisters and two brothers and through his own musical discoveries from John Denver to Michael Jackson – “Thriller was the first album I bought, on cassette!” Playing in bars and clubs as a solo singer and with a touring band – has given him his fair share of stories and insights – great for writing songs. He has opened for Alan Jackson and Emerson Drive, played at the 2011 CCMA Awards and toured on his own. On days off however, he prefers to spend his time out of the bar – in the gym, on his motorcycle, practicing yoga or at home in his apartment “cooking up something scrumptious.” Marshall Dane will join Take 2 Radio Music for a chat and music on Wednesday, October 29th at 3pm eastern!
After spending his teens and most of his 20s playing in rock bands, Ontario's TERRY FERNIHOUGH made a decision to quit, and put his energy into what he really loved, which was writing songs. Terry explains that he was "too rock for country in the 80s, and too country for rock." Then everything changed. Some called it "New Country", some called it "Country Rock". Terry just called it good music. As time has moved forward, his tastes have broadened even further into more traditional country, folk, and even contemporary country, which has moved even farther away from its traditional base. He feels very fortunate to write with some of the most talented artists on the Canadian country music scene. These artists have been nominated for CCMA Awards, ECMAs, provincial country music awards in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario, and two of them are even Juno nominees. Terry will talk about songwriting and will share two of his songs recorded by Canadian country artists Donny Parenteau & Sarah Beth Keeley. MELODY LOVEJOY is a country recording artist and songwriter based in Edmonton, Alberta. Melody has performed on stages as small as your living room and as large as the Jubilee Auditorium. Notable performances include the 2010 Grey Cup Huddle Town Stage, The Honda Indy Ultimate Street Party and the Taste of Edmonton. Her debut album is set to release soon with the lead single I'm Letting Go which will hit Canadian Country radio on September 16th!

Launched in May 2013, in time for last year’s CMAO Awards – for which he was nominated in several categories including Male Artist and Album Of The Year – and featuring the single and title track, “One Of These Days”, Canadian Country Artist Marshall Dane’s latest album puts life back in to the swing of things, driven by a swirling blast of fabulous melodies that gives you a country rush right from the get-go. One of These Days has country in its veins, topped up with doses of rock, pop and a side helping of soul. This latest collection is never far away from a radio-friendly corner, whether it’s the thrill of “Living It Up” or the reflective energy of “How Do I Get There From Her,” or the rollicking new single, “Alcohol Abuse,” set for February 2014 release in the US and worldwide. Born in Southern Ontario, Marshall grazed on a rich fix of music, from the country sounds of his preacher dad – “He first taught me how to play “– through his mum – in his own words the strongest, toughest, hardest working woman he’s ever met – who played piano in the evenings to his four sisters and two brothers and through his own musical discoveries from John Denver to Michael Jackson He has opened for Alan Jackson and Emerson Drive, played at the 2011 CCMA Awards and toured on his own.
