It’s Eve and Roarke’s first wedding anniversary! We feel like Nora celebrated this occasion by writing a book that gives the fans a present: Everything they love about this series crammed into one book: A great case; Eve giving Peabody the chance to investigate a cold case; Peabody’s parents are in town; the first mention of the closet fairy; the candy thief makes an appearance; Mavis makes an appearance; we meet Dennis Mira for the first time; Eve having to go back to Dallas for the first time and all of the emotional stuff that goes along with that; but also chasing the suspect all the way to Italy and back; PLUS, their anniversary celebration! Not only do we have one of the best cases we have had so far in this series that features a villain who is one of the smartest killers that we’ve had so far. Julianna Dunne is someone that Eve help put away 10 years before, but has been released from prison, and it coming after Eve because she was the only woman on the team that brought Julianna down. But before that, Eve picks out a cold case and gives it to Peabody to solve, and Peabody is elated and excited and scared all at once. That’s made even better when Eve and Peabody go back to Cop Central and find that Peabody’s parents are in town! Peabody’s mother, Phoebe, puts the whammy on Eve and gets her to invite them to the mansion for dinner. Later, they put the whammy on Roarke and got an invite to stay at the Mansion while they are in New York, and we have the rare opportunity to see Roarke baffled by how much of an easy mark he was. Also, while Sam and Phoebe Peabody are staying with Eve and Roarke, and Eve still decides to go for a swim naked where, as per usual, her guest, Phoebe, walks in on her swimming naked. We think Eve should know better, but, then again, maybe Eve’s a closet exhibitionist? In this case, Eve kind of forgives Phoebe because she’s brought croissants and a gift: a goddess statue that has been in her family for generations. When Eve tells her that the statue should stay in her family, Phoebe says: “I am keeping it in my family.” Awwww… Jen goes on a little bit of a rant about the book saying something about “12-year-old anorexics.” We get that these are still early books where we as a society weren’t as cognizant of that kind of thing, but it’s just not a great comment. Eve questions one of Julianna’s former prison mates, Maria Sanchez about what she knows about Julianna, and in order to get her to talk, Eve promises to get her a conjugal visit from a licensed companion. She didn’t necessarily mean Charles, but Charles volunteered, and really took one for the team. Another of Julianna’s pals in prison tells Eve that Julianna talked about visiting “The Bone Man” (which is her first victim), “The Sheep Man,” “The Cowboy,” and “The Dallas Dude.” Eve immediately thinks that “The Dallas Dude” could be Roarke. But, also: The Cowboy could be Julianna’s stepfather who lives in Dallas, Texas. So, Eve realizes that she will have to take a trip to Dallas to question Julianna’s stepfather, but knows she will also need to take the opportunity to confront some of her demons. Speaking of Demons, Sam Peabody, while helping Eve with a headache, accidentally sees a memory from Eve’s past, and that causes a huge problem between Eve and Sam, and it’s really heartbreaking for both of them. Speaking of heartbreaking, the trip that Roarke and Eve take to Dallas and them finding the room Eve and her father were in when Eve finally kills him, is one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the entire series. “Intense, unflinching…a gratifying story.” —Kirkus Reviews “A devastating and beautiful read that clearly shows the complexities of addiction, fear, love, and friendship.” —SLJ “A gratifying story of a young woman’s path to recovering pieces of her past self through a present laced with pain.” —Booklist In this gritty, heart-wrenching mystery, prose and verse mix to explores themes of disability, pain, belonging, loss, addiction, and friendship. Everything was fine before. When Eve and Lidia could hide their physical differences inside goofy Burger Hut costumes. When Lidia shook Eve up and Eve made Lidia laugh. When Lidia was there. Everything is different now. Cut open . . . rearranged . . . stapled shut, Eve is left alone to recover in a world of pain and a body she no longer recognizes. Her only companions being a bottle of Roxanol and an infuriating (but cute) neighbor, Eve strikes up a relationship—and makes a pact—with the devil. Sacrificing pieces of a place she doesn't know to return to a place she does. What will she discover when she unravels her past? And is having Lidia back worth the price? In verse and prose, Fix paints a riveting picture of a teen struggling to find herself and move forward with her life in a sea of opioids, regret, grief, and hope. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3epFxSD

Bible Reading: Galatians 5:22-26Eve stood in front of the mirror and carefully arranged her hair. Then she stepped back to see how her clothes looked. It was picture day at school, and Eve wanted the picture to be perfect."You look so pretty," said her little sister. "What can I wear to look pretty too?""I don't have time to help you," said Eve crossly. "I still have to find a necklace to go with this shirt."Kelly looked disappointed. "Can I borrow a necklace?" she asked.Eve shook her head. "No way! You'd lose it."Kelly's eyes filled with tears. "No, I wouldn't. I'll be careful!""I don't have time for this," Eve snapped. "Quit pestering me, Kelly!"When Eve went to the kitchen, she saw a vase of flowers on the table. "Oh--roses!" she exclaimed. "Where did they come from?""Mrs. Green just brought them over," said Mom. "They're from her rose garden. They're beautiful, aren't they?""They sure are!" But when Eve reached for a flower, she pricked her finger on a sharp thorn. "Ouch!" she cried as a bright drop of blood appeared on her finger. "The roses are pretty, but the thorns are sharp," she complained as she held a tissue to the sore spot."Pretty, but sharp," Mom said thoughtfully. "That describes how people can be sometimes. ActuallyI'm thinking of you, honey.""Me?" asked Eve in surprise. "Why me?""Like the roses, you look very pretty this morning. But I overheard you talking to your sister, and you were very sharp with her. Would you want someone to talk to you that way?""II guess not," Eve answered slowly.Mom nodded. "The Holy Spirit gives us the qualities we need to show others the love of Jesus. When you trust Him to help you treat others the way He would, you'll display the beauty of His love in your words and actions--not sharp thorns."Eve sighed. "You're right," she admitted. "I wasn't very nice. I'll go tell Kelly I'm sorry.""Good," Mom said. "Maybe you could still help her decide what to wear. I made a suggestion, but I think she really values the opinion of her big sister." (Karen E. Cogan)How About You?What do you think about more often--your looks or your actions? It's good to want to look your best, but it's even more important to be Christ-like in your actions. Today's Bible reading lists the "fruit of the Spirit"--characteristics God gives us so we can show others His love. When you use them in your words and actions, others will see His beauty in the way you treat them. Today's Key Verse:Do to others as you would have them do to you. (NIV) (Luke 6:31)Today's Key Thought:Treat others with love

This video isn't about a discussion on whether or not the Bible is literal or a guided story. It is about the concept about Adam & Eve. In which lives within us all. How to you get back to the Adam & Eve concept of living naked and within the Garden of Eden!!? When both the left hemisphere and right hemisphere of the brain, when both pineal and pituitary, when both above below, when both left and right, when both in and out are united within, the Holy Marriage takes place. This is the part in the Bible when Jesus says for the Bridegroom to be ready. For you know not when the Master comes. It is the Sacred union that takes place. And you will know that it is time. When Eve ate the Apple, sge wasn't using her higher mind. She was tempted. Therefore she was using her sexual energy, desires, to have what she wanted. Not thinking of the consequences. Adam followed suit because it is easier to do what you want when you're not thinking about it and others are doing it as well. It takes using our gut, our heart as well as our mind to cone up with the greatest plan in life. Is what you're thinking, saying, feeling, doing enriching your life as well as being the greatest overall experience for everyone? Donations accepted and appreciated through PayPal at

As humanity faces the urgency of climate crisis, it is hubris versus hope when Kate Larkin joins a secret project to save the world by resurrecting a ghost species, the Neanderthals. But when the child Eve is born, Kate's role as scientist, and mother, forces her to ask what really makes us, and Eve, human? In an intimate portrayal of high-concept big ideas, can we engineer ourselves out of a problem of our own making? Set against the backdrop of rapidly approaching climate catastrophe, scientists Kate Larkin and Jay Gunesekera are recruited by tech billionaire and mogul Davis Hucken to the forests of Tasmania, Australia. His Foundation's mission is not only halting the effects of climate change, but to re-engineer and reverse the damage through the ambitious process of reviving species lost to the earth over time through natural and unnatural means. Including a clandestine ambition to resurrect the Neanderthals. When Eve, the first child, is born and grows up in a world crumbling around her, questions arise that her and Kate must face. Is she human or not, real or unnatural, and is she the ghost species or are we? As more and more of us are waking up to the truth about our climate, and our need to reverse the damage we have caused, James Bradley's novel is incredibly timely, poignant and reflective on what it means to be human on a personal and a global scale.

Word: Read Genesis 3:1-7    Same old, same old. When Eve encountered the serpent in the garden, the question the snake posed was a question he is still hissing today: “did God really say...?” It describes the number one weapon the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy: twisting the Word of God into a lie. His arsenal includes a number of weapons but the most effective by far is the half-truth. In his reinterpretation of truth in Gen. 3:4-5, he displays this cunning weapon skillfully. The half-truth on the front of his statement is punched with the lie on the back. And that lie is his gem because it speaks to a deep desire in our proud souls: you can be like God.    The three things that attracted Eve about the apple included two harmless observations: good to eat and pleasing to the eye. The garden was loaded with food that checked those two boxes. It was the third that spoke to her pride: “and she wanted the wisdom it would give her.” (v. 6)     Isn’t that just like us today? We want the wisdom to run our own life, to make our own decisions, to grab hold of the wheel. Wouldn’t that be magical? To have the knowledge to create a perfect life? That’s what drew Eve to take that bite.    As we go through these 30 days, you’ll be challenged to give up some half-truths the enemy has been feeding you about disruption and detours. He wants to convince you to keep both hands on the wheel of your life. May God give you wisdom for the journey and courage to let go of your half-truths and embrace the whole truth and nothing but the truth.     Wait in prayer: Write out a prayer that Jesus would reveal places in your life where you are accepting half-truths and identify them by name. Pray that you would know the whole truth and nothing but the truth about this area of your life. Pray that you will know the truth and that truth will set you free (John 8:32)    Worship: Voice of Truth performed by Casting Crowns. IntrusionOne of the great joys for many teachers is assembling their class-rooms: hanging bulletin boards, organizing supplies, and arrangingthe rooms in the most desirable way. When we look at God’s vision forthe classroom that was the Garden of Eden, we see the care He took inpreparing a learning environment for Adam and Eve. He desired beautyto surround them. We can imagine that every flower, bird, animal, andtree offered an opportunity for Adam and Eve to learn more about theirworld and about their Creator.Yet, there is an abrupt shift from Genesis 2 to Genesis 3. We havetaken inventory of all the good that God created with divine intention. But in Genesis 3:1 we also awaken to God’s provision for free will. Thepresence of the serpent as “more subtil than any beast of the field” isa departure from the language heretofore used. Such words as “verygood” and “not ashamed” and “pleasant” are adjectives used to describeGod’s creation in the prior chapters. Now, however, with the serpent, there is a change of tone. The word “subtil” also is translated in someversions as “cunning.” Suddenly a negative element is introduced inwhat, so far, has been only perfection. In contrast, Genesis presents God as the opposite of “cunning.” Godis emphatically clear about His expectations of the pair in the Garden. We know from God’s command in Genesis 2:16, 17 that He has estab-lished one key rule that they must obey, and that was not to eat fromthe forbidden tree.Whatever else we can take from this story, one thing stands out: Adamand Eve were created as free moral beings, beings who were able tochoose between obedience and disobedience. Hence, right from the start, even in an unfallen world, we can see the reality of human free will.In Genesis 3:1–6, examine the descriptions the serpent used and that Evethen repeated. What do you notice about the information that theserpent offers Eve? What do you notice about how Eve then regardsthe tree of knowledge of good and evil?In Genesis 2:17, the Lord told Adam that if he ate from the tree hewould “surely die” (emphasis supplied). When Eve, in Genesis 3:3,repeated the command, she did not express it as strongly, leaving out theword “surely.” In Genesis 3:4, the serpent puts the word back in but in anutter contradiction of what God had said. It seems that though Eve wastaught of God in the Garden, she didn’t take what she learned as seri-ously as she should have, as we can see by the very language she used.

Adam and Eve lived in the beautiful Garden of Eden where God placed them. They were happy taking care of the animals and the land. God was with them there, and life was perfect. Until...temptation came slithering up to Eve one day... Satan tempted Eve by pointing out that she would be just like God if she ate the fruit from that tree. When Eve took that first bite and ate from the tree, she also gave some to Adam who also ate. And in doing this, they disobeyed God. In spite of their sin, God loved Adam and Eve so much that he promised a Savior when He cursed Satan. "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between her offspring and your offspring; he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heal," Adam and Eve were encouraged by God’s promise knowing that though they had sinned God still loved them.

We can often mistake the good for the great. Even though we love to “work” for God and serve Him in many ways, the Christians's true passion and possession is the Lord Himself. He has blessed us with all we need (see Ephesians 1), most importantly His presence. When Eve looked at the garden, she saw the abundance God provided, but chose to delight in the one thing she couldn't have (Genesis 3). In the abundance was fellowship with the Lord. When God says He will be our God and we will be His people (Jeremiah 31:33), it is all we really need to hear. Like David, we can say our cup overflows. Yes, the things we do for God are good, but simply being with God is great! Lust Of The Eyes! And the tempter came to Him (Jesus) and said, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.”Matthew 4:3 One significant fact we need to consistently maintain in our hearts. If Satan tempted Jesus, he will tempt us. From the garden, his plan has repeatedly been to cause God and man to be in opposition. One such trap is the lust of the eyes, all humans struggle with this fierce temptation. There is no doubt God made certain desires to live within us. It seems confusing that the God of divine creation strategically placed a passionate desire to lust within our hearts. Yet, it can be a sincere desire when properly used, which will become a tangible reward for the good? Lust is a desire for something we wish for, and amazingly some remarkable things we want can be beneficial. But when that desire invariably becomes a deliberate attempt to infect oneself, then that which God placed in us for good has now made us polluted. If there is one thing, we can draw from the heart of God. He wants mankind to enjoy life. Certain appetites are necessary for our wellbeing and happiness. But appetites that extend beyond proper reasoning and commands of God, will become the result of our demise. Sensuality in the confines of a godly relationship, meaning a marriage can be advantageous, but outside of that circle, we have a temptation that causes sin. Remember it's not sexual carnality alone that we struggle with, but the lust of the eyes, which has brought about the imminent fall of created humans. When Eve realized that the budding tree of knowledge good and evil, could be taken. That was not sexual lust. It was a desire to lust for something she was forbidden to have. We read a great example here that brought about her destruction. Like Adam and Eve, we too are tempted and tricked by satan into earnestly desiring that which God has not ordained for us. manlikeradio.com

At the Columbia River Correctional Institution in Portland, Oregon, USA, Dave and Anna - previous guest, Episode # 49 - interview three Adults in Custody who have found their "insights" through Anna's program. The Insight Alliance's philosophy is that we need to live from the inside/out, not the outside/in, that our very thinking determines our environment. Only then can real transformation occur. Eve (no last names), a transgender female, came to the realization that everything will be OK, no matter what. When Eve stop letting others' judgement become her judgement, life became settled and happier. Eve also learned from Anna not to worry so much about negative thoughts, that all thoughts come and go and they pass on their own. Angel has been in and out of prison many times; even served time with Dave! His turning point came in an accountability session, where he was called out by fellow AICs. Through his raging thought came his ah-ha moment, where he understood that THOUGHT created his experience of life not the world around him. He sees that but for this thinking he's OK. Damian is a veteran with PTSD and a retired paramedic. He should be used to dealing with high-stress situations, right? Well, he didn't in one situation and it landed him in prison. When he came to the realization that he created his own misery and understood the power of his thoughts, his mental pain started to subside. Or as Earl Nightengale said, "We become what we think about." Rising Above to Reach a Greater Purpose     Eve Davis-Paul is a Lesbian, Woman of Color, and Native of Washington D.C., whose passion for women’s freedom stems from the abuse she endured as a result of Maternal Narcissism. Marriage and motherhood have given Eve an urgency to sound the alarm and bring global awareness to Maternal Narcissistic Abuse, while providing hope and creating solutions for freedom. Defining moments and your purpose are what Saidx is all about. Eve, share your voice and your story starting right now.     When Eve noticed that her marriage and happiness was about to be destroyed, like the other successful things in her life had been, Eve understood that she had a greater purpose. Triumphing over the loss of both siblings, a life of lies, depression and self-shame no longer would let her continue to dismantle what she was constantly building. Understanding that she wasn’t the only woman who struggled with taking her life back gave Eve the strength to be a voice of freedom from Maternal Narcissism. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:16-17 Let's start with a couple of basic truths as follows: Coveting is one root of moral failure. Comparison is the root of coveting. Let's look at some examples from the Holy Bible. ACHAN “But the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel.” The children of Israel had just experienced a tremendous victory at Jericho (their first battle after crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land). They decided at their next battle, which would be at Ai, that they take lots less men to battle because they had learned from spies sent out that the people of Ai were few. However the Israelites suffered terrible defeat at Ai. Joshua fell on his face and cried out to the LORD. God answered him, “For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.” “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.” Joshua called out (through revelation) the tribes, families, clans and households in the camp of Israel. It was found that Achan had taken a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels and hid them in the ground in the middle of his tent. He had taken the “accursed things” that belonged to God. Notice that in the original Hebrew―and depending on the context―what is “devoted to God” is “accursed to man” when stolen from God. So all Israel took Achan―with his sons, daughters, animals and tent … and the “accursed things” he had stolen―and burned them with fire after they had stoned them. ACHAN LUSTED AND STOLE FROM GOD SOLDIERS & FAMILY DIED AS A RESULT ~ ~ ~ MESSIAH JESUS CAME TO GIVE US VICTORY IN PURPOSE EVE AND ADAM In the Garden of Eden, Eve was tempted by Satan. God had instructed Adam: “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Satan tempted Eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which she did. “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” NOTICE THIS: You can talk to God. He understands the situation. Ask Him for help. When you are tempted with coveting or lust, learn to say to the LORD, “Jesus, do you want to do this with me?” And, if you can't ask that question—or feel uncomfortable asking it—then you know NOT to perform the action. Just because it feels good—or looks good—does NOT make it good. In Genesis 3:6 we read that Eve thought the fruit was: Good for food Appetite Lust of the flesh Pleasant to the eyes Appeal Lust of the eyes Desired to make one wise Applause Pride of life But in 1 John 2:16 we read that, “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” And in verse 17, “And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” EVE AND ADAM DISOBEYED GOD … OBEYED SATAN … AND PLUNGED THE WORLD INTO SIN, DEATH AND HELL ~ ~ ~ MESSIAH JESUS CAME TO HEAL THE SEPARATION ANANIAS & SAPPHIRA When the Holy Spirit was poured out on Jesus' followers—on the Jewish Holiday of Pentecost—the people in the Early Church decided to have all things in common and share their goods in community with one another. They were so happy that the promised Messiah had come to pay for their sins on the cross-stake and was raised from the dead after three days. They were ALL Jews who followed Him … plus maybe a few unkown Gentiles. “Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.” (Acts 2:44) “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.” (Acts 4:32) “Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.” (Acts 4:34-35) But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things. Ananias and his wife, Sapphira, coveted the praise of others and fell prey to the pride of life. They wanted to compare themselves with the other believers—to be seen as sharing in like manner—while holding back part of the price of the land they sold. They did NOT even have to give the price of the land ...it was theirs … but they wanted to look like the others who were sharing 100% … and therefore they lied to the Holy Spirit. ANANIAS AND HIS WIFE COVETED THE PRAISE OF MEN THEY DIED SPIRITUALLY AND PHYSICALLY ~ ~ ~ MESSIAH JESUS CAME TO HELP US BE GENEROUS SUMMARY It's easy to see that coveting and lust are bedpartners. It's also easy to discern that the antidote―basically, the solution―to COVETING is contentment. “Now godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6 “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.” For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 The other bedpartner―LUST―can actually be removed with a good dose of faithfulness and self-control. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited … envying one another.” Galatians 5:22-26 Coveting and lust are basically stealing: wanting what is another's. There are, also, some other areas of coveting that are often overlooked. Coveting can involve stealing from God. Stealing the glory―or the credit―that belongs to Him. Lack of respect for your neighbor … or another person or entity. Doing what Satan does: desiring to be like God. When Eve desired the fruit of the (forbidden) tree to make one wise, she was the same as attempting to sit in God's throne. TAKE YOUR MEDICINE: Contentment is the antidote to coveting. Faithfulness and self-control are the antidote to lust. REMEMBER:"You once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air,the [evil] spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience."Ephesians 2:2   THE KEY: When it comes to character, play offense!“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill lust of flesh.”Galatians 5:16   HELP FOR YOU: If you have NOT received the POWER to WIN over coveting and lust, Pray this prayer ... “Lord Jesus, I need help. I know you're there. Please save me and forgive my sins. Give me the POWER to walk in the Holy Spirit and to serve you here on earth. Take me to Heaven when I die.
