Super Wildcard Weekend has come and passed. There was a lot of shock and disappointment.  Joe Flacco's magic ran out, The Browns turned back into a pumpkin at midnight, and the juggernaut that was this team is going home. Is CJ Stroud the next elite QB? Are the Texans the new Fav in the AFC South for the next decade? Dolphins and Chiefs were on pace to be the game of the weekend. Well, that game had other plans. The fins became victims again to hot weather teams can't travel to cold in the postseason. Besides that narrative, this team was plagued by injuries and the jury is still out on McDaniels and Tua.  The Trade Bowl. Stafford and Goff. The game with the most headlines and emotion this whole weekend. Detriot did the impossible finally winning a playoff game let alone hosting a playoff game.  What is the limit for this squad? The Cowboys and Eagles....... Nick well he is just Nick, and Dan had some tech difficulties. Does The OG Anunoby trade make the Knicks that much better? Seems like a lot was traded for a player that can be better than what you had but, can't be the final move.  Will the team wait till the summer or is a deadline the time to strike?Who is the real MVP? CMC or Lamar! The cases for both players are there, and they wish they could win.  But, that's not how it works. Both offer so much value to their teams that this might be the best shot an RB has had since AP.

We are looking at you, Monty Williams, and Greg Popovich.  Both teams are in the middle of some of the worst stretches of basketball in the history of the league. Leaving the question of whether they are outdated in their systems or just not reaching the new era of players. In the NFL the elite teams are rounded out into playoff forums.  Surprisingly, with the teams that made the Super Bowl last year that isn't the case. Eagles and Chiefs both look off aren't the same teams they were last year.

This past week across all sports we have seen a lot of dumb mistakes. From game-winning plays being called back to, franchise-altering decisions.Tell us if you have heard this story before, Draymond Green is suspended for assaulting another player. While we are already having thoughts that this Golden State team is on its last leg and can't afford to be fucking around, this happens. Do the Warriors just let Dray walk in the summer? Is he worth the headache for what he can still offer?Zion Williamson is once again in the headlines for his weight.  Teammates, the media, and his front office all think it must be addressed. So, of course, the idiots on this show think otherwise. What do you think? Kadarius Toney not only cost the Chiefs a massive win over the Bills but also took away the best play of Travis Kelce's Hall of Fame Career. His teammates are at is defense but, should they?Tommy Cutlet is making Bill miserable, but Dan and Nick think otherwise. Team building and all that bullshit comes up. The Chicago Bears added an elite pass rusher in Montez Sweat to pair with those two top-five picks in 2024. While talking about the moves that did happen we also have to talk about the ones that didn't happen. Overall a very exciting deadline from the NFL!

Week 3 offered up a lot of storylines, and parody in the NFL, from the Jets being in the hunt for the Lombardi to Caleb Williams, and a new favorite in the AFC. Zach Wilson is clearly not an NFL QB. The Jets are on the verge of this season being lost, and that locker room is a time bomb. Why is Zach still the guy? Have we called the Vikings yet?  Stafford is looking pretty interesting in LA. Jets lose once again to the Patriots. Again, Mac Jones does enough to win and has moved up the power rankings in that 21 draft class. How far up though? The Dolphins might be the team to beat in the AFC. With the two fastest WRs in the league, plus a great O-line and one of the best offensive minds in the league. Who is going to beat this team? Tua is in complete control and this team is historic. On the other side of that loss, Sean Payton needs to do some soul-searching.  Russ isn't the problem. The offense is clicking, while through 3 games the Broncos defense is the worst in the history of the game. Both the AFC North and South are pure chaos. No one team is clear above the rest and, teams we thought dead are definitely alive. Lots to unpack this week enjoy!

Liverpool is competing with their new play style, and Mo Salah is playing in a new role. While the scored goals aren't there, Mo is still creating and Liverpool is getting results.  Spurs seem to have not missed a beat in the post-Harry Kane era. Son seems to be a legit 9, while James Maddison has shown he can lead a midfield for a big club. Postecoglou has shown he can build up and change the culture of Tottenham.Chelsea and Man United leave a lot to be desired. Both teams have spent a lot, and are in the mud. Chelsea has too many guys, with not enough spots in the 11, and United has no leader. The Ten Hag era has left a lot to be desired with drama almost every week, combined with the lack of results, the seat is getting hot.  La Liga, as per usual Real Madrid and Barca are at the top. This year though, Barca seems to be different. With key new additions, this team looks deadly. Real Madrid keeps winning, but how long can they play without a 9?

As the NBA season heads toward its conclusion, there are a lot of teams that have questions without answers.  The battle for the play-in spots in the west is up for grabs, and while it's hard to say anyone is a lock, it seems like the faith of some teams might be sadly written. Can Luka get the Mavs in and overcome the Kyrie effect? Can the Lakers overcome the Play in range? Are the Grizzlies legit? Who can make it out of the East? Players are also on the hot seat. Ja being a leader for Memphis, Kawhi still being that elite leader, and James Harden enough to help Embiid advance deep into the playoffs? Plus, the NBA CBA has been renewed and offers many good changes for the league.

This week on BOTB FC, multiple times, we have talked about being dressed for a funeral, and well, it was time to say goodbye to the hopes of some of our teams. Liverpool is now sadly out of European Ball for the 2023 season; Real Madrid, while not being out mathematically, La Liga is pretty much over. Coming off the high of knocking off Liverpool, the hopes of Real Madrid keeping the hunt for the La Liga trophy alive seemed easy. Well, Barca proved again that they seem to have Madrid's number.  Haaland is on pace to break almost every EPL scoring and English side record.  Futbol seems to be setting up for a wild finish, and this panel can't wait.

Opening day is among us, and the baseball team for BOTB couldn't be more excited. With the crew mainly in the Ny region, there were talks of Mets and Yankees to start the pod with a "State of The Union" on both teams. Division winners and wild card teams were the bulk of the episode. Each panel member breaks down who will reign supreme in each division and who will round out the playoff picture in the wildcard. Some different views, as well as alleging views, make things interesting. End-of-the-year awards for each league make things enjoyable as it becomes love for the players and logic in the battle for the who we believe will take home the hardware. Over/ Under for teams that are must-watch finish off the episode. As a show, we are genuinely excited to say baseball is back.  *Episode was recorded Pre Edwin Diaz injury*

To say this was a high-energy week of Ball on the Brain would be an understatement. A week that featured a lot of moves around the NFL within the league tampering period and the start of Free Agency, from the Bears trading down out of the 1st overall pick to the 9th in what was a King's Ransom and possibly a franchise-changing move for both teams. Aaron Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee show he intends to play for the New York Jets in 20203, plus his list of requested players. In both discussions, tempers flair between the guys in a heated debate over how each roster should be handled and if the moves are worth it. Lamar still doesn't have a contract, and Who is the MVP of the NBA?  Finishing off the episode, we have a segment of “Guess the Player”. The Futbol season is in full swing in Europe, and we have much to discuss. Liverpool destroys Manchester United  7-0 , and Arsenal stays atop the EPL. After a dominating performance, it seemed like Liverpool was back on track. That was until a loss to 20th-place Bournemouth. It seems like every time the squad takes a step forward, and they go two steps back. For United, on the other hand, it was a 0-0 Draw against Southampton.  Both teams struggled domestically with big games on the European stage this week. Barca and Real Madrid meet again in the Copa Del Rey, this time with another Barca victory. Madrid doesn't love the recent struggles with Barca and might be thinking about some major changes, yet still alive in the Champions League. A lot to unpack this week.

On this week's episode of Ball on The Brain, it's Franchise Tag deadline day. The New York Giants are the topic of discussion with how they, let us say, prioritized the players they had to decide on tagging. Dan, Dylan, and Nick aren't fans of the deal that Daniel Jones signed with the Giants. Dan and Dylan think it's the worse move the Giants could have made. Nick understands it while not loving it. We all know you're waiting for Mr. Giants and the biggest supporter of Daniel Jones thoughts. Well, Bill thinks the move was a good one. Looking more at the big picture and how flexible the Giants are now, even with the amount, he's happy. Lamar is also brought up. How crazy is it that he stays under the Tag when he is a former MVP? Is his time in Baltimore coming to an end? After football talk, the NBA is the topic. Ja Morant, Tatum, and the Celtics struggle, and "Guess the Player". This episode is a must-listen!

This week on Ball on The Brain, there are a lot of questions about moves made at the trade deadline for the NBA. The Lakers are going as "all in" as possible, and the Mavs trade for Kyrie. The Kyrie Irving experiment is a big topic for the panel, making us wonder if everything in Big D is okay. Was it the right move? Is the balance of roles off? What is the problem with Kidd and Luka? What does the future look like in Dallas? Following Kyrie's role in Dallas and Damian Lillard's 71-point Master Class, we revisit a topic discussed last week with Kyrie v. Dame time. Nick seems to be a man on an island with this topic, but it gets interesting.  If you enjoy it, please visit our website for more analysis and takes. This time of the year in the world of futbol it's all about European play and how well the big club stack up against each other. Europa play has led to some exciting results and possibly exposed shaky play. It's never an FC episode without Dan and Junger going at it with Barca and Madrid banter. We go into what has happened with Barca on the big stage under Xavi and if this is an issue for his future at the club. After discussing Barca, the discussion moves toward Real Madrid and their game against Liverpool in the Champions League. With another Real Madrid comeback in this tournament, it seems to be this team's theme under Carlo Ancelotti. No matter how big the stage is and how great the pressure is, Madrid stays calm and finds a way to pull through. For Liverpool, we have a different story, and it seems to be a running theme on this show, but once again, we talk about what is going on with the squad and how it feels every day it becomes more and more clear Klopp's days are possibly numbered. To finish this episode, the Premier League title race seems to become more interesting by the day. With Arsenal kind of stalling, possible points deduction for City, and United getting hot at the right time, this season could be one for the ages.

On this week's episode, the All-Star game is the topic of discussion. With the weekend now past us, we discuss how the NBA handled the events and if there is any way to save it. With a Dunk contest that hasn't been the same for the last few years. A Skills Challenge that was good and now is ehhhh.  Three Point Contest is good, and an All-Star game that isn't even a game, and the players and coaches hate it. With no real solution, all we can do is hope the people who make money in sports can figure out something.  After All-Star weekend we break down Russ to the Clippers and if there is any chance it can work. Some do and think their pace of play could get better, and others think it will fail as the Lakers did. Finally, we introduce our new segment."Hot Topics", where we bring up a hot-button issue that came across. This Week, Whose's the best passer in the history of the NBA? Who you got?
