Discover 5 ways on how to celebrate Purim! These exciting ways to celebrate Purim will make this feast a joyful one to remember. Purim is such a joyous and wonderful celebration. It is a festival that every generation should enjoy and celebrate every year. This Biblical feast is based on the Book of Esther. And here are 5 ways on how to celebrate Purim with your friends and family. 1. Make a plan Purim is simple to plan. I recommend marking it on your calendar now and set a reminder to start prepping a week ahead of time. 2. Pray Pray for God’s chosen people - the Jewish nation - around the world. Ask God to protect them from lies and evil plots for their destruction, which are still rampant today. 3. Gather Gather some fun noise makers. Think “New Year’s Eve” style and yes, even fireworks! Gather crowns, hats, and costumes. Get creative with things you have around the house. 4. Decorate Find your favorite fun decorations. The theme is kings, princesses, queens, royalty, victory! Again, use what’s around the house (although, of course, a bit of shopping isn’t out of the question). Get the kids involved. Ask them for ideas. Provide arts and crafts materials so they can help in the preparations and decorations. 5 Make and give gifts to friends and people in need Plan this with your kids. Ask them who they want to give gifts to and bless. If you have trouble deciding who to bless, cast lots to decide. This is how Haman chose the day of the holocaust. Purim means lots. The casting of lots. It is also known as the feast of lots. Here are 5 ways on how to celebrate Purim this year and every single year. How about you? How do you celebrate Purim? Let me know in the comments below! Learn more about these fun ways to celebrate Purim at home https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/how-to-celebrate-purim/
Can you lose weight on the Bible diet? Discover the surprising link between the Bible diet and weight loss - and be your best self today! Now let’s get started with today’s questions. 1. What are the healthy fats of the Bible? (Jamie) Visiting Israel you will be met with the most delicious foods ever. The restaurants and hotels buffets are delicious. The fats in Israel – include the fats of the bible. Olives and avocados are in Israel, nuts, pistachios mentioned in genesis 43:11, fish – fresh, from the sea of galilee and the Mediterranean. Even favorites such as chickpeas to make hummus has a small number of fats. 2. How do I lose weight eating this way? (Nick) Learning how to recognize our body signals is the way we were intended to live. Yes, in the biblical days they had celebrations and there are also 20 verses on gluttony. Yet – food is not meant to consume us as it does today. Eating foods God designed in their purest form is what makes any diet work. Eating foods only when you are hungry and stopping when you are satisfied – brings freedom to be at the weight you were created to be. Never overweight. Too many times we eat because of addictions – I really love my _____ Or we eat for fun. I love my popcorn and doritos when I watch. Or we eat because of habit. Your body was created with cues – hunger and satisfied. Today we have to learn these cues and heal the microbiome so the hormones – ghrelin, and leptin can work for us. To many people are leptin resistant – which means they will have a difficult time learning hunger satisfied cues. Their weight will continue to be a struggle. We can change that – it takes work. The deeper we are in the food addictions – the harder the climb out. When I interviewed Dr Michael Brown – from Ask Dr brown – he shared it was easier to overcome his heroin addiction than his food addiction. Yet – it was not impossible. And today he has gone 6 years free of his food addiction and plus has not had 600 headaches – since he had headaches at least 3 times per week. So was it worth it to eat this way – by all means – emphatically yes. So losing weight is very possible – and it will happen. Stay focused and enjoy the journey. 3. How can I obey God more with my diet? (Sara) Obeying God is about being responsive to what he is calling you to do. And yes – God spoke to me many times about my health and eating. And yes – my eating and health were at an impasse. One had to change – either call God a liar – I can’t lose weight – let me have my ice cream Or I had to change my heart and let God show me his love and grace. Then stop living as if tomorrow does not matter – start living as if my health was necessary - and it is. 4. How can I stick to an eating plan when my family refuses to? (Tom) Good question. The first answer is - you are the only person responsible for what you eat. I doubt you are being force-fed. This means – make is a joy to eat healthy – not a prison sentence. Make it fun to cook – new recipes, tasty and delicious wins many people to eat healthy. Then start enjoying life. As you eat healthy life becomes more fun - now showoff that fun! I am saying don’t limit God. If this is his desire for you to care for your temple and enjoy His foods then ask God to change the hearts of your family. This is not a foreign idea or magic. It is praying God’s Words back to Him and asking for your heart’s desire. Learn more about the Bible Diet here https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/how-to-start-the-bible-diet/
Here are 2 reasons why we should celebrate Purim. Did you know Jesus celebrated it and other Jewish festivals, too? Learn more in this episode! The Old Testament tells of many festivals and celebrations that God’s people shared. Although we are not bound by Jewish law, there are several reasons why we should celebrate Purim as Christians. These Jewish festivals celebrate the amazing things that God has done. But for us Christians, why should we celebrate Purim? Purim is one of my most favorite celebrations. It teaches us how God works in marvelous ways. He worked in the past and also works today to protect us, His people. In Hebrews 13:5, it says, “I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.” This verse was written for us. It is also the culmination of Esther. Thus, Purim is the beautiful story of victory. Through the working of God, the Jewish people were saved. This is why the line of Jesus existed… And he continues to live in each and every one of those who believe in him! So why should we celebrate Purim? First, Purim teaches us how God works in a fun, yet amazing way. The stories that talk about God’s miracles, love, and power are a reminder of what He has done. Through these stories, we understand who God is. And yes, He continues to work today to save us! Children love to read and even act out engaging stories. They also love parties. So, what better way to learn and understand these Bible stories than to make it fun and engaging! Purim is all about reliving the wonderful stories of salvation in the Bible. Second, Jesus celebrated these festivals. While Purim is not mentioned specifically in the New Testament, it is likely the Jewish feast mentioned in the Book of John. “After this there was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.” John 5:1 Purim takes place before Passover, which was the festival most likely mentioned in the said Bible verse. So these are just 2 of the biggest reasons why we should celebrate Purim. God works in amazing ways, and let us remember this through Purim - a beautiful celebration of God’s power, love, and victory! You can also learn more about Purim in my blog https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/why-christians-should-celebrate-purim/ I hope you enjoyed this episode. You can celebrate the Lord's Supper at home - Here's why and how you should celebrate the Lord's Supper with your family and friends. Today we're going to talk about how to celebrate the Lord's Supper at home and how to have communion at home. Why should we celebrate the Lord's Supper? Why should we celebrate it at home? How do we do it? And even when should we do it? So that's it we're going to cover today. Now, just realize the Lord's Supper is not just biblical, it's practical. It's not an add on to your day. It becomes part of your day. And that's what I want you to understand. And there are three reasons. I want you to follow me on this and stick with this through the end, because there are three reasons why to celebrate the Lord's Supper. 1. Unity in your family and friends. 2. A personal intimacy. 3. For healing. This is talking about breaking bread. This is talking about sharing the Lord's Supper with your friends, in your family, in your home. Every year is Passover celebrated. It's in the home. It's in the home with family and friends. And that's why it's so important to realize that breaking up bread refers to communion. Lord's Supper was meant to be in the home. Now, I think it's fabulous to have Lord's Supper in church and a lot of churches will do it once a month or every other month. Communion and the Lord’s Supper is about praying to forgive others, releasing anyone who is harmed us. Our pastor does a very key thing he always has before Lord suppers as you have. If you have anything against someone, you need to go and make that right before you have Lord's Supper. Start with giving things. Start with an inner self-examination of your thoughts, your words and your actions. Don't allow bitterness, anger, unforgiveness or pride to have any element in you, within you. And really be willing to forgive others even if they haven't asked for it. That's kind of the key. And be willing to forgive yourself. So many people live in this hatred of themself that it inhibits their walk with the Lord. This is about a relationship. And you're going to hear me say that throughout all my videos. So pray from your heart. Make this a time of worship. I want you to always have organic juice. If you do grape, cranberry, pomegranate. I don't care. The grape is the more symbolic because it is of, you know, we are the vine. He is the branch. And, you know, they crush the grapes with their feet to not bruise them. The unleavened bread. Yes. You can use saltines. You can use matzo crackers. You can use so many different things. But I really want you to learn how to make the true unleavened bread. I've got two videos out there now once you go catch them. This is so easy. It is like four ingredients. So super good. There are two breads that I want you to understand how to make. So catch both of those videos, the unleavened bread and the challah bread, and the reasons for making them yourself. That was that is really deep stuff. Always using your freshly milled flour because we went all of the goodness that God put in the grain of wheat.
