Whether we have people to be around or not, we tend to channel our inner Scrooge and it's all bah humbug and what not during the cold, dark, winter months. That is helpful but light therapy is more than just get fresh air and sunlight hitting one's face it requires eye exposure to at least 10,000 lux and reduces risk of UV ray damage. Please consult with a professional such as your general physician or a mental health professional. They can recommend the best place to purchase a light therapy box with a price range as low as $70. Light therapy (photo therapy) is not a cure for S.A.D or clinical depression but can alleviate symptoms especially for those who live in colder climates this time of year.
