In Chapter 2, the Holy Spirit teaches us an important truth: we were all dead in our trespasses, but are now made alive in Christ by the grace of God. Paul makes it clear that it is by grace we have been saved, and it is a gift from God so that no one can brag or boast. Chapter 2 also discusses the importance of being one in Christ. Both Jews and Gentiles are now citizens together in the kingdom of God. We are one family, one body, and one temple of the Spirit of God in Jesus Christ.

This teaching focuses on God turning grieving to rejoicing, based on Jesus's words during the last supper in John 16:20, "Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy."
In this teaching, Pastor Nate continues with part 2 of our 3-part Easter series, "The Chosen: The Last Supper." This sermon starts with Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem with the crowds shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" Pastor Nate discusses the kind of king Israel was expecting, dating all the way back to the time of Samuel the judge and prophet. He then describes how every earthly king will eventually fail, no matter who it is. There is only one King who can truly save and bring everlasting peace: Jesus the Messiah! The question is: What kind of king are we expecting Jesus to be in our life?
In this teaching, the first of a three part series, pastor Nate looks at the last supper and the statement made by Jesus that one of his own disciples would betray him. One of the things we know about Judas is that he was a thief who, as treasurer, would help himself to the money that was meant for the ministry of Jesus and his disciples. Through that behavior, we see that Judas had a hunger for the bread of this world as opposed to the Bread of Life.
