Lynette's courageous journey from the valley of the shadow of death to God-given restoration is a remarkable, game-changing account of the hope currently available to millions of others who desperately need it!”—Joe Horn, B.C. Holistic Health Practitioner and bestselling author of TimebombIn the year 2021—amidst worldwide fear, chaos, riots, and economic shutdowns of 2020, I was diagnosed with cancer. My scans were “not the scans of a person who lives,” the medical specialists said, and because of the medical policies put in place during 2020, much of my treatment was administered without the presence of my family or loved ones.Everything in my life had taken a drastic U-turn. I had gone from “healthy and surrounded by family” to “dying alone on Thanksgiving Day” in an instant, and there was nothing anyone could do except keep me comfortable until the end…But God had other plans. This is the account of my journey into the world of cancer—a true story that tested my strength in unimaginable and countless ways, pressing me to recognize the true metal I was made of and see Christ and the world through different eyes.It all begins with horrific news, but it ends in the true modern miracle brought about through prayer, natural healing remedies, sacrificing bad habits on the altar before God, and above all, a strict faith in God's healing power. I am now a living testimony of God's grace and mercy, as well as the natural medicines He placed upon the soil of this earth to heal His people. Referred to in society as “alternative treatments,” let me be clear: there is nothing “alternative” about it. The ingredients that healed me are those that God put on this planet from the beginning with the intention of keeping His children alive and thriving.FOLLOW US!Facebook: @SkyWatchTV @SimplyHIS @EdensEssentialsInstagram: @SkyWatchTV @SimplyHisShow @EdensEssentialsUSATikTok: @SkyWatchTV @SimplyHisShow @EdensEssentialsSkyWatchTV.com | SkyWatchTVStore.com | EdensEssentials.com | WhisperingPoniesRanch.com

Are You Surrounded By People Not Living for the Lord? How to Honor God Despite Your Environment: Psalm 26 In Psalm 26, David shows us the best response when we are surrounded by what feels like enemies and hypocrites. While it can sometimes be so hard to live for the Lord when others around us aren't, this Psalm reveals the best way to walk in that tension. I pray this episode blesses you. Hey friends, welcome to the Hearing Jesus Podcast. Do you sometimes doubt if you are truly hearing God's voice or if it's really your own? Do you wonder how you can know the difference? Do you struggle to feel confident in your relationship with God and what He says in his word? Do you sometimes feel stagnant or like you hit a wall in your spiritual life? Hey, I'm your host, Rachael Groll: missionary, author, pastor, and life coach. And I have been there. I, too, was doubting God's voice in my own life. I, too, felt insecure about the things I thought God might be calling me to do. I wanted to make a difference in the world and be obedient to what God was calling me to do, but I wasn't quite sure how to figure out what exactly that was. I kept telling myself that I was wasting time trying to figure it out or waiting for Him to show me. Or that I wasn't qualified to do the things I thought He might be telling me to do. The answer for me was found in the pages of the Bible, as I learned how to understand what it was actually saying. If you are ready to grow in your faith and to step confidently into the calling God has for you, then join me as we dig deep into God's word so you can learn to live out your faith in your everyday life. Friend, you are loved, you are cherished, and you are His. The Hearing Jesus Podcast will encourage and equip you to step into the calling God has for your life, living out your faith in the everyday. Together we will break down walls that keep us from growing spiritually. We will dig deep into our Bibles to understand and connect the Scriptures to our lives. We will boldly obey what God calls us to do, walking through doors that only He can open. Join me for your daily dose of faith, honesty, and prayer. Women often deal with feelings of insecurity and unworthiness, yet the lives of these women show that Jesus values us, wants a relationship with us, and can use us to further His kingdom. In her warm, conversational style, Rachael ties together her life experience, knowledge of the Scriptures, and her compassion for women to encourage us and enable us to become the women God has called us to be.

Pt. I - The Work of God Requires Rest (Vs. 11) Nehemiah's journey would have taken him approximately two months and the first thing he does is rest. Before assessing the project, looking at the walls, introductions etc… Nehemiah finds time to rest and recuperate before beginning God's work. Jesus alone can save, not good works, not penance, not your mommy or daddy but Christ alone. He is the fulfillment of the law that you and I broke. But that does not excuse us from giving dedicated rest to the Lord so that we can accomplish all that He has for us. Nehemiah set out first to build the walls of Jerusalem. But his real aim was the spiritual condition of the people. Having a good solid and secure building is great but if the people are not building their life in God it won't really matter. Pt. II - The Work of God Requires Discretion (Vs. 12) Remember that Nehemiah was coming with a purpose. He had set out to accomplish a great feat in Jerusalem, one which he received from God. He knows it has been stopped before and he already has opponents that seek to derail him. But he knows that he must begin well or the project could face failure. Pt. III - The Work of God Requires Inspection (Vs. 13-15) Nehemiah fasted, wept, and prayed for months, took a long journey, rested, and now goes out to see for himself just how bad the situation is. We need to spend more time evaluating the need, taking notes, checking for cracks in the walls (spiritually speaking), assessing the situation and then executing a plan. Nothing should be overlooked. If we were willing to set aside pride, self-exaltation and examine ourselves as the church, we could measure all of it against God's word making corrections where necessary and seeking His Glory! Pt. IV - The People of God Are Not Above the Work of God (Vs. 16) Notice that Nehemiah says, “I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials or the rest who did the work.” He includes everyone. Basically, showing that no one is above the work of God. Also notice that Nehemiah did not say, those who would do the work, or who I pleaded with to do the work, or who I begged to do the work, but he said, “who did the work.” Plenty of us say, “well pastor that's not my job.” I have heard some variation of “I have done my time” as if they were in prison and waiting for sweet release from their service to God. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. Pt. V - The Glory of God (Vs. 17-18) Here is what it is all about. Nestled in Nehemiah's explanation here about how bad things are and how they had gone for him was for one purpose: to show the glory of God. COME LET US ARISE AND BUILD! Pt. VI - Despite the Enemies of God Opposition doesn't just come when there is disunity, frustration, backbiting, or gossip in the church. Opposition from the enemies of God come when the people of God set out to do the work of God for the glory of God after rest, discretion, and inspection. The people of God will have success because it will come from the God of heaven if we rest in Christ stop chasing the world, exercise discretion, inspect continually to ensure we are aligning with God's word, seek to do the work to God's glory without assuming we are above it, and despite the enemies of God. Conclusion Nehemiah understood the task was great but exercised his leadership abilities by focusing his mind and mission on the work of God, the people of God, and the glory of God. He had no fear of the enemies of God for he knew that the God of heaven would give them success if they stayed the course and that God's enemies would no longer eventually be neutralized. “Hear this! A sower went out to sow.” Mark 4:3This line begins the familiar Parable of the Sower. We are aware of the details of this parable in that the sower sows seed on the path, on rocky ground, among thorns and ultimately on good soil. The story reveals that we must strive to be like that “good soil” in that we must receive the Word of God into our souls, allowing it to be nurtured so that it may grow in abundance. But this parable reveals something more that could easily be missed. It reveals the simple fact that the sower, in order to plant at least some seed in good and fertile soil, must act. He must act by going forth spreading seed in abundance. As he does this, he must not become disheartened if the majority of the seed he has sown fails to reach that good soil. The path, the rocky ground, and the thorny ground all are places where seed is sown but ultimately dies. Only one of the four places identified in this parable produces growth.Jesus is the Divine Sower and His Word is the Seed. Therefore, we should realize that we are also called to act in His person by sowing the seed of His Word in our own lives. Just as He is willing to sow with the realization that not every seed will produce fruit, so also we must be ready and willing to accept this same fact. The truth is that, very often, the labor we offer to God for the building up of His Kingdom produces little or no manifest fruit in the end. Hearts become hardened and the good we do, or the Word we share, does not grow. One lesson we must take from this parable is that the spreading of the Gospel requires effort and commitment on our part. We must be willing to toil and labor for the Gospel despite whether or not people are willing to receive it. And we must not allow ourselves to become discouraged if the results are not what we had hoped for.Reflect, today, upon the mission you have been given by Christ to spread His Word. Say “Yes” to that mission and then look for ways, each and every day, to sow His Word. Expect much of the effort you give to unfortunately bear little fruit in a manifest way. However, have deep hope and confidence in the fact that some of that seed will reach the soil that our Lord desires it to reach. Commit yourself to the sowing; God will worry about the rest.My divine Sower, I make myself available to You for the purpose of the Gospel. I promise to serve You, each and every day, and I commit to being a sower of Your divine Word. Help me not to become too focused on the results of the effort I give; rather, help me to entrust those results only to You and to Your divine providence. Jesus, I trust in You. In a foreign land, held captive, Daniel and his companions were used of God mightily. God did not change their circumstance, but they still trusted Him. Some people will preach up a storm on their deathbed and souls be saved. Don't wait until it is all well before you can serve God. Learn from Daniel and stand as an ambassador for the kingdom of God on earth. There are earthly kings that must know that God is alive and powerful. Some are already thinking of themselves more highly than they ought to. Be that vessel. Be encouraged, that despite what you are going through, you are still valuable to God. Talk 2: Thanking God despite the problems (1 Corinthians 1:1-9) Today we’re going to make a start on the text of 1 Corinthians, but first let’s take a quick look at why Paul wrote this letter. The general purpose of the letter is revealed by its contents and may be summarised as follows: to set right disorders in the church division (chs 1-4) immorality (chs 5-6) public worship (chs 11-14) to answer questions eg on marriage (ch 7). Cf Now for the matters you wrote about (7:1) with Now about (7:25, 8:1, 12:1, 16:1, 16:12) to correct doctrinal misunderstanding on Christian liberty (chs 8-10) on the resurrection (ch 15) So let’s make a start on the text. Today we’ll be looking at Ch.1:1-9 which I’ve titled Thanking God despite the problems We’ll begin by reading verses 1-3 where Paul greets the Corinthians 1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, 2 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: 3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. v1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God Paul is confident of his apostolic authority. He is called by Jesus to be a ‘sent one’ (see Acts 9). This was the will of God. He stresses this to the Corinthians. If they did not recognise his authority, they would not obey his instructions. But he needed to be sure of his authority too. We need to know who we are in God. And our brother Sosthenes Possibly the synagogue ruler who had opposed Paul in Acts 18:17. If so, it was an amazing conversion. Now he’s one of Paul’s valued companions. But Sosthenes was a common name and so probably a different person is referred to here. 2 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - their Lord and ours: ekklesia (church) comes from the verb ekkaleo which means ‘call out’ In using the term Paul is stressing their separation from the world. They are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be holy or saints. Christians are called saints in the NT because they are God’s people (cf Israel) not necessarily because of their moral condition. It was God’s church in Corinth. It did not belong to the Corinthians. Here the local church is referred to, but in 15:9 Paul uses ekklesia to refer to the church universal. together with all those everywhere All who call on the name of the Lord Jesus, wherever they are, are sanctified in him. The letter was not just written to the Corinthians. It has a universal application. Its general principles may be applied to Christians of all cultures and generations, but some of its specific instructions would be meaningful to the Corinthians alone. It was written for an ad hoc situation in Corinth. Call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Compare Joel 2, Acts 2, Romans 10: whoever shall call... Paul in his thinking connects an expression that in the OT refers to Jehovah with the Lord Jesus Christ. The deity of Christ is implicit throughout his writings. Right at the beginning of his letter Christ is exalted. Note the close link with the Father in verse 3. 3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul adapts a traditional secular greeting (chairein - rejoice) to charis (grace) and combines it with the Jewish shalom (peace) to make his own Christian greeting, Grace and Peace. These two words summarise his theology. Now in vv4-9 Paul moves from greeting (vv1-3) to thanksgiving Thanksgiving (4-9) 4 I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way - in all your speaking and in all your knowledge - 6 because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. 4 I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. There were problems in the church - very serious ones - but Paul saw the Corinthians as they were in Christ. That is how we should see each other - and ourselves. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way - in all your speaking and in all your knowledge Again, in him. Every area of our lives is enriched because we are in Christ. Paul possibly has in mind here spiritual gifts like speaking in tongues and words of knowledge – Note the reference to spiritual gifts in v7 However he may well be speaking in more general terms about speaking and knowledge. 6 because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. Confirmed here means ‘validated’. The Gospel message was validated by the change in their lives. Plummer suggests three possibilities: a) established durably (cf v8) b) verified by its influence on character c) was brought home to them by the witness of the Spirit However, the following verse suggests that a charismatic change is in mind here. Further, in you (Gk. en humin) may be translated in your midst. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. spiritual gift NIV has supplied the word spiritual which is not in the Greek. Charisma is an actualisation of God’s charis (grace). The word is used not only of spiritual gifts as in 1 Corinthians 12, but also of natural gifts (eg 1 Cor. 7:7). However, in the light of the connection with the second coming here, very possibly spiritual gifts are referred to, for they are a foretaste of the age to come (cf Ephesians 1:13, Hebrews 6:4-5). As you eagerly wait for.... Christ .... to be revealed Here Christ’s coming is referred to as a revelation (apokalupsis). Other expressions used are ‘end’ (telos), ‘day’ (hemera), ‘appearing’ (epiphaneia), and ‘coming’ (parousia). They are used pretty much interchangeably in the NT and in my view it is a mistake to try to distinguish between them at least chronologically. 8 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end What an amazing promise, bearing in mind the state of the Corinthians on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Compare the OT the Day of the Lord (Amos 5:18-20, Joel 2:31). For Paul the Lord is none other than Jesus Christ. 9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful fellowship with his Son This is also the fellowship of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:13, Phil. 2:1) Summary – thanking God despite the problems The problems: disorders in the church division (chs 1-4) immorality (chs 5-6) public worship (chs 11-14) doctrinal misunderstanding on Christian liberty (chs 8-10) on the resurrection (ch 15) Things Paul thanks God for: 4 I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge-- 6 because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.

Do humans share a universal sense that there is a God? Despite how an atheist or agnostic might think, Christians would answer yes, and here’s why. The Bible teaches that God created all people, in all places and at all times with an inner sense that he exists. In Romans 1:19, Paul talks about people who don’t believe in God and he says this: “What can be known about God is plain to them because God has shown it to them.” When people don’t believe this, Paul said in verse 25 that it’s because they exchanged the truth for a lie. So, the Christian belief is that those who don’t believe in God have rejected an inner sense that God has placed in all people.

Commit yourself to the sowing; God will worry about the rest.Lord, I make myself available to You for the purpose of the Gospel. I promise to serve You, each and every day, and I commit to being a sower of Your divine Word. Help me not to become too focused on the results of the effort I give; rather, help me to entrust those results only to You and to Your divine providence. Jesus, I trust in You.

Listeners will hear Biblical evidence of proof that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God and will disprove those who discredit that, because of differences in the information shared from the Apostles. Some invalidate Jesus Christ's being the Son of God, because they say the Apostles said different things in the Bible related to the same situation. They conclude that the Apostles are not telling the truth, because they record different information and assume it is all a lie. They, then, conclude that if that's a lie, then Jesus being the Son of God is a lie-but all of this is based on a false premise! This podcast will clarify this! [5] Why am I so overwrought? Why am I so disturbed? Why can't I just hope in God? Despite all my emotions, I will believe and praise the One who saves me and is my life.Psalm 42:5 Voice When we are emotional, it can be overwhelming and difficult to know how to manage them. Whether we indulge the emotions or shut them down, relying on ourselves to deal with the emotions we deal with on a daily basis is frustrating, exhausting, and ultimately, futile. Like the psalmist in the above scripture does, we need to turn our emotions to God, express them, and decide to believe God will take care of us. Journaling is a great way to help us navigate the emotions we feel, but we have to make sure to use this incredible tool spiritually. Join Russ and friends as they discuss how to use journaling spiritually. Whether to navigate our emotions in prayer or to understand God and the Bible better, spiritual journaling can be extremely useful in our continuous walk with God. God’s Word encourages us that we can still love the Lord even in spite of our uncertainties. We see this in Luke 1:3-4. Luke writes his Gospel to Theophilus, telling him the purpose of sharing the account of Jesus was so that he would have more certainty about his faith. Interestingly enough, the name “Theophilus” means “lover of God” or it can mean “beloved by God.” --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/greek/support

On ANZAC day this year we had afternoon tea with Ken's parents at a local park. Something very special happened that afternoon. As we were chatting with Ken's dad, John, he started talking about a hymn he had written. I asked him if he would sing it for us. He generously let me video him and gave his permission for me to put the video on my blog. As John sang his lovingly created song, tears came as I felt God reminding me that He always looks at the heart. But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV John's life has not been easy, and he is currently not in the best of health, yet his heart is so tender towards Jesus. Even now as I listen to him sing this song, there are tears. He knows that he is loved by God. So a couple of questions for us to consider, firstly what does God see when he looks into our heart? If we are honest, this is a very sobering question - no one has a pure heart. We all have some motives in our heart that don't align with God's heart for us. For me, over the past month I feel that once again God has been challenging me about what is in my heart - that strong desire I have to get all the tasks done, to have all the boxes ticked and everything neatly ordered! He has been gently asking me these questions, will you put people first Wendy? Will you lay down your agenda for the day and take time to connect with those I want you to connect with? Do you trust that I, your Heavenly Father, will make a way for everything I want done to get done? Yes, very good questions for me! Reading 2 Peter 1:5-8 earlier this week was another way God reminded me of His priorities. So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness, and to goodness add understanding, and to understanding add the strength of self-control, and to self-control add patient endurance, and to patient endurance add godliness, and to godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters, and to mercy toward others add unending love. Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately. 2 Peter 1:5-8 The Passion Translation The spiritual state of heart is central to getting us to the place where God can do what He wants to do in us and through us. There is a great need for us to be continually praying Psalm 139:23-24. Here it is from The Passion Translation. God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I'm walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways - the path that brings me back to you. The second question to consider is, do we really know that we are loved by God? Despite the pain and disappointment that we have experienced in our lives, do we know that there is a God in Heaven who loves us and has carried us through those times? A God who has a plan for you and me and desires to spend eternity with us in Heaven? Jesus said, "For this is how much God loved the world - he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Saviour and to rescue it." John 3:16-17 The Passion Translation A final question, if you wrote a song about God, what would you write? What love and truth from your heart would be revealed? Why not have a go? You may just find that your song touches other people's hearts, drawing people closer to God, just like John's song did for me. To find out more please visit https://wendyrobinson.com.au
Love God. Love People.
If you think about it, we serve what we worship. It doesn’t have to be God. There are many things in life that can grab our attention. When it comes to finding God – why is it so essential to worship God with others around and not just by yourself? Reading: Psalms 95:1-9
There is an increasing trend for people to say “My relationship with God is personal”. Dig deeper and more often than not it’s because of a bad experience with a Christian somewhere at sometime. However, what if we were to say the ONLY way to truly know yourself and God is to be around other Christians? Reading: Romans 12:9-16
Many people at any point in time, are coming to grips with God and Christianity. Yet to do so, you have to come to grips with who Jesus is, and what He and his followers said about The Church. Wherever you may be sitting on the spectrum of faith, this series will look at how “The Church” is meant to be, and for those in it, a calling to fulfil God’s vision for it.
