Open to the public year-round, this park provides a balanced ecosystem and healthy habitat for a variety of plants and animals, including some rare and endangered species. The primary function of the wetlands is to provide enhanced  treatment of reclaimed water in order to meet the rapidly-growing needs of the City of Orlando and surrounding areas. In addition, the park serves as a beautiful wildlife preserve area and lovely place to visit, all while doing the hard work of improving the health of our aquifers for the future well-being of our community.
