Miracle in Motion | feat. Nia-Tayler of BlackLIT BlackLIT is more than a bookstore—it's a movement, a ministry, and a miracle in motion. In this episode, I sit down with my friend Nia-Tayler, the founder and owner of BlackLIT, to talk about what it truly means to steward an assignment that is bigger than you. BlackLIT wasn't Nia's dream—it was a solution to a problem she saw in our community. As a former educator, one student's words shook her: “I don't read, Miss, I'm Black.” That moment planted the seed for a space where people feel seen, loved, and empowered. In this conversation, we discuss:

I got a chance to sit down with one of my closest friends Adavia for a girl chat and reflection over this past year. This time I got a chance to be the person being interviewed! We talk all things from how I learned to embrace the call on my new life, overcoming imposture syndrome and the pressure of “new things”. We also reflect on moments when God affirms our path. She even hit me with a few rapid questions to give a little insight into who I am personally. I share some of my favorite things, why I think Keyshia Cole is my long lost bestie and so much more! This was a feel good conversation that I hope will leave you inspired, encouraged, optimistic and excited about all that God can do with your “Yes”. Sometimes the hardest part of our journey is just starting! When God gives you a vision or an idea, He's not waiting on you to have it all perfectly planned out. He just wants you to take the first step. I have also provided resources to help you do inventory. Check out this latest episode to find out how to access! For starters.. this episode is not at all about condemnation but serves as a heart check instead. As I reflected over this past year, I started to do inventory of my heart. I wanted to look at the areas in my life that reflected where I am in my faith journey. I wondered what ares did I become casual in routine. Was I really being intentional or was I just operating from my spiritual checklist? Most people think that faith is only believing in Jesus and the resurrection but that's just the start. We are NOT saved by our works or how much bible we know. BUT as you enter into a relationship with Jesus you should begin to evolve overtime and become a reflection of Him. We don't enter into a relationship with Him and just casually engage. It becomes a lifestyle. I pray that this episode helps you do inventory of your heart. I pray it helps you identify where you are in your walk with Christ and encourages you to grow. No matter where we are in life, how long we have been a believer and how much we know, there is always another level. I have also provided resources to help you do inventory. If God cares about the birds in the sky and the flowers in the field, how much more do you think He cares about you? That passage is something many of us have read in scripture but have you actually put that into perspective? Can you honestly name a time that you were in need and God left you hanging? As we enter into the holiday season, it can be met with many highs and lows. Some of us are already worried about day to day life and the holidays can add more pressure. One thing I know about worrying is that it robs us of our peace. In this episode I open up about a revelation that God gave me when it comes to trusting in His provision. I share insight on what it looks like when God provides. I talk about the importance of stewardship, contentment, addressing greed, pride and the value of generosity. I pray this episode helps you with your perspective when it comes to knowing that God is with you and working for you even when you don't see how. I can't believe we are in Season 4! I am so excited to be back and see all that God has in store for us this season. A lot of times we say that we have faith but we don't realize how surface level it is until God stretches us past our comfort. In this episode I open up about the insecurities and challenges that I've faced with being in ministry. I talk about how God showed me that I was living on a surface level of surrender. I even get into how my lack of trust in God and limited beliefs have been holding me back. I also talk about my experience at the Woman Evolve Conference. I share some resources that have impacted me in this season including The Gift of Rejection by Nona Jones, Remain In His Love by Dr. Jackie Greene and more! I encourage you to do a heart check to find the areas that you are on the surface with God. I pray this episode reveals things in your life that challenge you to go a lot deeper with God. I can't believe we made it to 33 Episodes! When I first started Let It B, I had no idea what taking a step out in faith would produce. In this episode, I talk about the gift of time and preparation season before we see the promises of God. I open up about the weight and the responsibility that comes with being a “minister of the Gospel”. I talk about how I overcome fears, doubt and insecurities of being a podcaster, fighting the urge to quit and how I embrace being set apart. I also talk about the dangers of influencers and how important it is for you to know the word for yourself. I pray that in the episode you not only feel encouraged to keep pushing forward, but that you also see that you are not alone in your struggles. Sometimes walking in faith will only make sense to you and God and that's okay. Don't be in a rush to get to the promise. SLOW DOWN and embrace every moment so that you don't miss what God is trying to show you in the process. Make sure you are subscribed to @BreFergie on YouTube so that you can watch this episode. We open up about so much when it comes to relationships and divine connections. We talk all things friendships, new seasons, surrendering our desires, stewardship, faith, discipleship and the value of having a Godly community. This episode is a prime example of what happens when you let go of the things that no longer serve where God is leading you. That includes friends, relationships, places, ideas and so much more. Most people don't know how to suffer well. What I mean by that is knowing how to walk through hard seasons WITH God instead of believing that He isn't with you. In this episode I talk about seeing God in the hills and valleys of life. It's so easy to see the goodness of God when He is blessing you and answering your prayers. But what about when things are tough and it's hard to see His faithfulness. Will you still say God is Good? I open up about mental health struggles as a believer. I talk about how I used therapy, scripture and prayer as a resource. I also talk about how to see God in seasons of uncertainty, the power of resilience, restoration, God's promises and more. I even share resources and scriptures to help you navigate the valley seasons. There's something about the valley seasons that God does His best work in us and through us. I also recognize that God empathizes with us when we are in a valley season. He cares about our mental health. He cares about our well being. He is always working things together no matter what it looks like. That's why He's always good! This may serve as a wake up call for some or an invitation to others, either way I pray that you hear it with love and that it blesses you beyond measure. ============================= Scriptures Mentioned: Genesis 37 John 16 : 33 1 Peter 5 : 10 Philippians 4 : 6 - 7 Matthew 6 : 34 Ephesians 6 : 12 Hebrews 4 : 12 Isaiah 55 : 11 Romans 8 : 28 Psalm 30 : 5 Hebrews 10 : 23 1 Peter 5 : 7 Find Let It B the Playlist HERE: https://linktr.ee/BreFergie YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/dAxHfs7_luw

I got a chance to sit down with Alexis Bolden, owner of Bold-N Designs and she is such a gem. We discussed how we navigate seasons of unbelief in what God says about us and what we say about ourselves. Sometimes it's hard to find faith in your journey when what you see doesn't match the big picture. One thing I have learned is that God doesn't give you the finished production, He gives you the instructions to create it. Alexis is an entrepreneur, marketing director, digital strategist and brand designer. She works with organizations, small businesses and individuals to help bring their vision to life. I'm on the couch by myself this week. I wanted to let you in on what's been happening in life lately. Most importantly, I wanted to share the many revelations that I received from a book that I was reading called Dangerous Prayers. Reading this book has been so transformative in my walk and also opened my eyes. I never realized how surface level my prayer life had been. When we pray it's usually a prayer of gratitude, protection, provision or crying out to God when things are in turmoil. I never realized how much deeper we needed to go sometimes. Praying dangerously isn't about God being a genie but more so about Him doing the inner work inside us. In this episode I break down the sections of Dangerous Prayers by Craig Groeschel and how they have manifested in my life these last few months. This episode is full of encouragement, scripture, revelation and conviction for some. If you are wanting to grow deeper in your relationship with God, I challenge you to start praying Dangerous Prayers. I understand this may not be for everyone. In this episode Remy and I get into what it's like being an entrepreneur, taking a leap of faith, trial and errors of building a business and establishing your self through doubt and unbelief. I'm on the couch by myself this week. This episode was a hard truth that I had to face. I found myself convicted thinking about my appreciation for God's provision on my journey. In this episode I share how my comparison and complaining hindered me from seeing how much God has provided for me. Sometimes we have a vision of how we think things should be and our own timeline but that's not what walking in faith looks like. I know this episode might not be for everyone but I pray that me sharing my revelation encourages someone to stop comparing and appreciate every step of your journey into the “Promise Land”. God has not left you hanging just because your provision might look different from how you think it should or what you are used to. Keep moving forward! Have you ever been bamboozled into doing something you never thought you would but ended up loving it? Like many can attest, that's what this conversation is all about. I sat down with India Pernell, CO Owner of Mattie's Vegan Food in Kansas City, Mo. Contrary to what you may think, this episode is NOT about being vegan or trying it convince you to do so. This conversation is for the person who feels like they are too far from God. Maybe they think they messed up too bad and they need to get cleaned up before they come to Him. It's loaded with testimony, faith and inspiration. We talk about all things from being delivered from bad habits, dealing with shame, God's Devine protection, navigating the pruning season and so much more! If you're ever in Kansas City, MO, make sure you check out Mattie's Foods, a plant-based eatery located at 633 E 63rd St #110, Kansas City, MO 64110. This episode is all about the impact of mentorship. I got a chance to sit down with my very first mentor Aminah Moore. I met her when I was about 13 years old and going through a very hard phase in life. This conversation is loaded. I open up a little about my childhood, life after college, struggles with pride and how her presence had such an impact in my journey. This episode is an ode to educators, mentors and why representation is so important in the education system. You never know how much of a difference you can make in a students life just by being there. We also get into self care, serving others, pouring into the youth, forgiveness and so much more. This has been a year full of ups and downs for all of us. If you would've told me at the beginning that I would be ending my year off building Let It B as a business I probably would've laughed. This is a personal episode that I felt led to share. In this episode I share my testimony of how my faith has been stretched and how I had no choice but to trust, depend and surrender to Jesus. I also share my puppy's testimony of how he went from a broken femur to fully healed. I am sharing this because I want to emphasize that you never know what people are going through. You also never know how God will use the things you go through to work for your good no matter how bad or insignificant they may seem. I encourage you to put your trust in God in 2024 and get to know Him for yourself. It literally changes everything! Have you ever felt challenged to do something that seemed impossible or unrealistic for you to do? Maybe you've got a vision for something but have no idea how you are going to accomplish it. That's what this episode is all about! Just like the children of Israel were instructed to cross the Red Sea and God told them to move forward. That didn't make any sense to the naked eye but as they moved forward, God parted the sea. He does the same thing in our lives. In this episode I sit down with Minister Sandra Camper of Chicago, Illinois and we talk about how God instructed her to Forward March into her calling despite how she felt. She shares how she was able to navigate a new season after unexpectedly becoming a widow. We share our journey of accepting the call on our lives. We also touch on relationships, letting go of our plans, having a limited mindset, trusting God through our hardships and being obedient even when it doesn't make sense. This is such a faith filled and encouraging episode especially to those who may feel like God has left them hanging in the storm. Navigating grief is no easy journey especially when you are also forced to fight for justice at the same time. Cameron “CD” Lamb's life was taken at the hands of Eric Devalkenaere, a former Kansas City Missouri Police Department Detective on December 3, 2019 after he was ambushed while backing into his driveway. In this episode I sit down with the family of Cameron Lamb as we reflect on his life, his legacy and the impact of his death. We share how grief has taken toll on our mental health and how we have been able to manage. We also discuss how we have had to continue to fight for Eric Devalkenaere to be held accountable for his actions. This episode is all about learning and understanding the difference between your Calling and your Career. The thought of walking in your calling and using your gifts can seem a little taboo. The truth is we are already equipped to do the thing that God has created us to do. In this episode we get to hear from Jennifer Parr, a wife, mom and the creator of Let's Equip Women. Jennifer shares gems on how we navigate using our God given gifts and walking in our calling. She also shares how to find balance between our calling and career. This episode is all about surrender. So many times we disqualify ourselves because of our imperfections. Sometimes we talk ourself out of being used or walking in the direction that God has called us to because of impostor syndrome. We feel like we “aren't enough” and unqualified to live out the plans He has for us or maybe we think the vision is too big for us. Those are lies! This episode is really transparent as Bre discusses how life and her imposture syndrome caused her to shy away from Let It B and put the podcast on pause. She also dives into some scripture to show that even the people in the Bible like David faced those same feelings. She talks about we have to put our hope, trust and Faith in God alone and reminds us that it's all working out for our good. Let's be honest, sometimes its hard to be still especially when we can't see the light at the end. Giving ourself the time to let our seed take root and blossom can be challenging. The fight or flight mentality can get up caught up in situations we don't want to be in or cause us to miss out on blessings. Discerning that can be tough. In this episode Bre & Jaz talk about how we are learning to trust the process. We discuss the highs and lows of navigating corporate America. We touch on everything from experiencing colorism, being overlooked, rejection, complacency and how we took advantage of the opportunities before us. We talk about how we keep our faith in seasons of uncertainty not just in our career but in life. We also get pretty vulnerable about navigating seasons of uncertainty and not feeling good enough, mental health and relationships. This episode is all about being ready for the things that we desire. Most times we want things that we are not quite prepared for. When I think about every new season I've encountered I remember every season required a new version of myself. I didn't just show up prepared either because each season I experienced prepared me for the next one. When it comes to being prepared for the next season sometimes what we think we are ready for is still in the process of being developed even beyond what we can see. This episode is a reminder of that process. I discuss in real time how the process of being prepared for a new season can be a bit challenging but always necessary in order to get to what we have been praying for. However, I'm determined to see it through and it is my hope to encourage you to do the same. Make sure you follow @LetItBPodcast on Instagram for updates and inspiration!
