    This educational video for kids is about baseball legend and philanthropist, Roberto Clemente who was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico in 1934. Clemente spent his entire professional career with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1955 - 1972). He was the first Hispanic baseball player to be inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame. In 1958, Clemente enlisted in the Marine Corps as a reserve infantryman. For six years until 1964, he spent his off seasons serving on duty. Clemente spent six months on active duty at Parris Island, South Carolina, and Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. He was inducted into the Marine Corps Hall of Fame in 2008. Clemente married Vera Zabala in 1964. The couple had three sons.
