What happens when the spotlight fades and the pressure takes over? In this episode, Michele Kwasniewski dives deep into her powerful YA novel, Falling Star, the final installment of the Rise and Fall of Dani Truehart trilogy. Drawing from over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Michele brings an unflinching look at the mental, emotional, and personal toll that fame can take—especially on young stars. Dani Truehart, once a teen pop sensation, is caught in the aftermath of a tragic decision. Fame, fortune, and pressure to perform have led her to a breaking point. As Michele explains, this isn't just fiction—it mirrors real-life stories from the likes of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and other young talents who've had their lives dissected by the public eye. This book and conversation offer more than just drama. They ask real questions: Who are we when no one is looking? What happens when unconditional love is replaced by applause? And how do young people find their identity amid the noise? Whether you're a fan of YA fiction or fascinated by the world behind the red carpet, this episode pulls back the curtain.

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Roundtable Recap with your Challenge Fandom Podcast hosts Rick, Corrina, Tony and Katie. This week we are doing our obligatory mid-season breakdown with one of your guys' favorite guest hosts, Alex Brizard from Netflix's The Circle and co-host of his own podcast Two Dudes Watch Cartoons. This was such a perfect episode to do a mid season breakdown on and we truly hope you all enjoy this episode! We skipped our normal 20 minutes of BSing intro, so feel free to push play and enjoy the show from start to finish! Remember, we are better on YouTube :) On this episode we kick off by talking about our overall feelings on the format of the game, discuss the possibility of Challengers throwing dailies to get a shot at a star, what we think the biggest problem is with this show (hint: it's the same issue they have every season on every version of this show...), whether or not it makes a difference for trivia to be dangerous, Ryan's sobriety and Veronica's top tier social game play. Then we break down this trivia challenge including what we did and didn't like about it, discuss previous trivia challenges with dangerous jerk-offs, whether or not we prefer 3 strikes and you're out or one and done for trivia and what the heck were these questions?! Then we break down how casting has changed over the years and what we'd like to see moving forward, Adam taking control over his own game, and what is this unwritten nominations rule? We also debate whether Laurel will ever be given a chance to get a star without coming in 1st place and putting herself into the sand, shocking votes at the nomination ceremony, our thoughts on this elimination plus how they could have made it better, Ace's whole missed opportunity to protect his star, mid season winner picks, MVP's, Lines of the Nights and so much more! All this and more now available on The Challenge Fandom Podcast on this collaboration recap with Alex from Netflix's The Circle and Two Dudes Watch Cartoons. Welcome, intrepid listeners, to this riveting instalment of "The War of the Worlds," where we encounter the otherworldly events that stunned a Victorian England not quite ready for its close encounter of the third kind.In this chapter, The Falling Star, we travel back to a time when the heavens were still a great mystery, and a streak across the sky was merely a celestial pebble skimming the vast pond of the universe. It is with a mixture of awe and sobering naivety that we recount the night of the first falling star, an event perceived by many as innocuous, yet hiding the harbingers of upheaval beneath its fiery tail. H.G. Wells crafts a narrative that not only captivates with the spectacle of science-fiction but also grounds us into the psyche of an era grappling with industrial revolution and scientific discovery. The parallels of societal ignorance and the complacency of the time resonate with our contemporary struggles, as progress rides shotgun with unforeseen consequences. The aperture through which we view this fantastic tale is not one of mere fiction, but of a profound allegory speaking to the grandiosity of human ambition and the myopia of our understanding of the cosmos — an allegory that rings as true now as it did in the smoggy London air of the 1890s. Prepare to immerse yourself in the chilling realization that blankets the unsuspecting Earth and its inhabitants, as they stand on the precipice of an invasion that will challenge the very core of their existence. Engage with us on this historic foray into a world both familiar and alien, as we explore "The Falling Star" and the shivers it sent through a world unprepared for the whispers of Mars.

(Hollywood, CA) On June 13, 2023, the classic American radio show gets a modern twist, as TV, Broadway and Rock starsjoin forces for the new musical: A FALLING STAR AT BUZZARD'S ROOST. Non-profit radio theatre company OPEN-DOOR PLAYHOUSE -- a 501c3 giving voice to new writers and actors -- proudly premieres this show, sponsored in part byShure Audio International and produced by Stage For A New Age (in cooperation with We Make Movies Productions). A FALLING STAR AT BUZZARD'S ROOST is the tale of a microphone, a meteorite and true love that transcends time! The story is set in a combination drive in/diner in Sylacauga, Alabama that famously shows the worst sci-fi movies ever made and boasts a small piece of a meteorite that historically fell on Anne Hodges in 1954. When Gabby's best friend Mo brings her Hollywood band The Flutterbyes to town, they plug in a vintage microphone once used by Elvis that mysteriously opens a wormhole in space and transports the cast back in time. Will Gabby learn hidden secrets of her family's past? Will Mo find love at first sight? How will Gabby, Mo and The Flutterbyes find their way back home to 2023? How did real life suddenly become another bad sci-fi movie? Running just under 90 minutes, A FALLING STAR AT BUZZARD'S ROOST, is divided into four episodes (with ridiculous commercials) to allow fans to listen wherever and whenever they can.Open-Door Playhouse is a 501c3 organization, donations are tax-deductible. . The Jack Benny Program starred Jack Benny and ran on either radio or TV for more than three decades, earning Emmys for more years than not. Jack played one role throughout- as a minimally talented violinist and penny pincher who was always the butt of jokes. His wife, Mary Livingston, was his constant companion on the shows as well as Rochester, his wise-cracking butler. Jacks actual skills with the violin were demonstrated a number of times with guest appearances with symphonies. Today we'll preview the entrance of Saturn into the sign of Pisces. Why do this now? Because Saturn is getting ready to station direct in the sign of Aquarius, it will then be on a trajectory to move into the sign of Pisces by early March. So I've got three themes for us to explore on Saturn in Pisces.

Women who want to appear to be men now can buy “compression tops” at Target to hide their breasts. Starbucks, among other companies, will pay travel costs for employees to have an abortion if they live in a state that restricts the procedure. And Disney says it's outraged that kindergarteners can't be taught gender ideology in Florida public schools. Some of America's biggest businesses increasingly are embracing far-left ideology, and that may be affecting consumers' opinions about those businesses. “The share of Americans with a favorable impression of Disney has collapsed from 77% last year to just 33% today,” Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and contributing editor at City Journal, reports. The streaming service Netflix, for one, may have noticed Disney's falling star. Netflix recently released a memo to employees stressing the company's commitment to a diversity of views and opinions in its content. “As employees we support the principle that Netflix offers a diversity of stories, even if we find some titles counter to our own personal values,” the memo reads. “Depending on your role, you may need to work on titles you perceive to be harmful. If you'd find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.”On today's edition of the “Problematic Women” podcast, we discuss why some Americans are likely weary of the left's radical agenda infiltrating America's businesses. We also share what we saw at the recent pro-abortion women's march in D.C. And as always, we crown our Problematic Woman of the Week. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
