Today, another fantastic story comes from the area covered by the Lost Peatlands project, at the head of the Afan Valley, which leads into the Rhondda in South Wales. It is a stunning place filled with wonderful tales. Thomas Davies (1715-1753) known as Y Fferiaid Coch ( The Red Minister ) was a tempestuous man of the cloth who preached in various villages in the area. One of the most heartbreaking tales from York the city of a thousand Ghosts. Over the years there have been many sightings of a solitary Spectre stalking the Snickleways that have scared visitors from all over the world.
